After breakfast, Kasen immediately returned to his office and began researching how to remove that bizarre Confundus Charm.

In theory, milk should have been able to remove the effect. But the current situation was more like the Confundus Charm being a debuff accessory or piece of equipment bound by a curse. The instant the milk removed it, the Confundus Charm seamlessly reapplied itself.

Still, this kind of long-lasting debuff should have drawbacks.

For example, Voldemort's method involved confusing himself before confusing everyone else. So, at least for the time being, he should not be dangerous and should not do anything dangerous.

After all, Voldemort had confused himself into believing he was an ordinary Hogwarts student...

No.

That was Voldemort.

A genuine Dark Wizard. The worst kind of bastard. He had been a bastard since his orphanage days.

Even if his current persona was that of an ordinary young wizard, he would still possess tremendous destructive power.

So now Kasen needed to prepare on two fronts.

The first was to use deduction to identify the extra student.

Originally, Kasen had intended to use brute-force elimination, but since Dumbledore had failed to find any extra name in the Book of Admittance the previous night, that method was not particularly viable.

It had never really been the primary option anyway.

The second method was to use the power of Minecraft to locate this extra young wizard.

"Let's start with the simplest approach. Can the monocle see the Dark Magic tag on Voldemort?"

As he spoke, Kasen teleported out of the office.

And, as luck would have it, he immediately ran into two passing Ravenclaw students with enormous Dark Magic tags hovering over their heads.

"...Damn it!"

Kasen sighed.

The Dark Magic tag was far too common at Hogwarts. Any young wizard whose magical studies were even slightly advanced would more or less pick up some Dark Magic.

As for Horcruxes, they were categorised under the Dark Magic tag...

So the monocle could not display Horcrux as a separate tag.

"These kids..."

Kasen set out from his office to search for Voldemort and died halfway through the campaign...

"These young wizards are way too promising."

Kasen sighed and returned to his office, continuing to rack his brains for a way to find Voldemort.

Before long, Kasen walked out of his office again.

Not because he had thought of a solution.

It was time for class.

Today's lesson was for the fifth-years.

According to the Book of Kasen...

All right, that name was rather narcissistic.

But according to the curriculum laid out in the Book of Kasen, fifth-year students studied vanilla enchanting and Create.

The former was magic, while the latter was pure physics, so combining the two could actually produce an effect where one plus one equalled two.

As for stacking other systems together...

It was like installing mods in Minecraft. You never knew when some bug might appear, and in worse cases, the whole thing might simply throw an error and crash.

Before long, Kasen arrived at the lectern.

He had deliberately brought an old Qing dynasty film...

No, a Qing dynasty model, and placed it on the desk.

Besides that, he had also brought an entire stack of papers.

These were not written by him, but by Cedric.

To be fair, Cedric's academic improvement after graduation was obvious to everyone.

Some of the ideas in those papers were so fascinating that even Kasen found them astonishing.

"These papers were written by one of your seniors who has already graduated, Cedric Diggory. This is also my first time reading them, but since they were published in an alchemy journal, they are naturally excellent."

"This will be your homework after class. By next week, I expect to see these papers covered in all kinds of annotations. Not a single part should be left untouched."

"And now, let's begin with a very basic topic. For patients left disabled by injuries caused by Dark Magic, how should Create-based alchemy be used to restore their ability to move?"

Kasen first sketched the most basic principles on the blackboard, then built a simple joint system with Create components on the lectern.

"This is a joint. In theory, once you learn how to construct a joint model this simple, you've already learned the basics of making a prosthetic limb, or even a full prosthetic body."

After saying that, Kasen waved his hand and distributed the materials he had prepared beforehand.

"Now, everyone make a basic mechanical joint like mine. Of course, if you want to make more of them or give them additional functions, even better."

The young wizards in the classroom immediately got to work.

However, one student gradually stood out from the rest.

While everyone else used the distributed materials to build all sorts of elaborate joint systems, he simply followed the assignment to the letter, made the most basic mechanical joint, and then stopped.

"Orante, if you've already finished, bring your work up here so I can inspect it," Kasen said.

"Yes, Professor."

Orante picked up the mechanical arm on his desk, stood up, walked over to Kasen, and placed it on the lectern.

Kasen fiddled with it a few times before nodding.

"It's made very precisely. But that's it? Your grades in every other subject are so good, yet when I ask you to make an alchemical creation, you put in this little effort?"

Orante shook his head.

"Professor, I think everything you're teaching right now could be replaced by magic. There's no need to use a bunch of stupid gears, pistons, and levers just to make some metal move."

Kasen looked at the young wizard staring intently at him.

That strange, superior contempt for anything unrelated to magic made Kasen feel, for a brief instant, as though he were looking at Voldemort...

But Voldemort probably could not say something quite that pure anymore.

After all, he had suffered far too much at the hands of Kasen's mechanical arm. No matter what, Voldemort would never look down on a field of study capable of killing him.

Still...

Mark him for now. Keep watching him later.

Kasen rubbed his chin.

There were too many eyes in the classroom right now. If he directly kept Orante behind or tried to whisper something to him, it would attract far too much attention.

Then...

He could do it the same way he had with Clay.

He had no idea whether this young wizard had ever read Journey to the West, but if not, that was fine too. He could always arrange some other chance encounter later.

With that thought, Kasen casually raised his pointer and lightly tapped Orante on the head three times.
