Humanity Is Gone, but I Have Billions of Clones

In that moment, Li Qingsong made his decision.

The Blutuk People were rapidly recovering their strength, supported by the resources on Venus. Once they were back at their peak and had secured a steady supply line, their combat effectiveness would soar.

Right now, time was on the Blutuks’ side, not his. Once the Blutuk People recovered, they wouldn’t just stay entrenched on Venus. They would inevitably strike out in all directions, seizing planet after planet from his grasp.

When that happened, for him, who still lacked Interstellar Navigation Capability, it would truly be the apocalypse.

He would be trapped, with no escape.

’I have to finish this job as quickly as possible.’

In that instant, industrial ships already near Earth—originally intended for vessel maintenance and resource transport—became the first wave Li Qingsong dispatched. They plunged into the atmosphere, landed on the surface, and began the first phase of construction.

Selecting sites, leveling foundations, erecting factories!

A second wave of industrial facilities, transported by heavy freighters and Space-Air Carriers, departed from the highly industrialized bases on Jupiter, heading for Earth in massive numbers.

Transporting ten trillion tons of water from the surface to space by making countless round trips with spaceships was obviously impractical.

The only feasible way to achieve this goal was with space elevator technology.

Only space elevators could handle such a massive payload!

And one or two—or even three or four—space elevators would be nowhere near enough.

Li Qingsong planned to build 1,000 space elevators along Earth’s equator!

Li Qingsong’s ultimate goal was to move ten trillion tons of water from the surface into space within ten years. It couldn’t take any longer; if it did, the Blutuk People would have already recovered.

By that calculation, each space elevator would need an annual transport capacity of one billion tons.

However, factoring in construction time, that number had to be even higher—closer to 1.2 billion tons.

That meant each elevator had to move an average of 3.3 million tons per day, or about 140,000 tons per hour!

When Li Qingsong built his first space elevator on Ganymede, it could only transport about 140,000 tons of material per day, even running at full capacity.

Furthermore, Ganymede has far less mass than Earth, making the construction of a space elevator there significantly easier.

Now, on Earth, Li Qingsong had to overcome far greater construction challenges to build a thousand space elevators, each with more than twenty times the transport capacity of the one on Ganymede!

In the past, a project of this difficulty would have been unthinkable. It was utterly impossible for him.

But now, after numerous technological advancements and breakthroughs, Li Qingsong was confident he could pull it off.

And so, nearly all the Clones kept in hibernation on Earth were awakened. Li Qingsong transferred a massive portion of his consciousness to them, and through these Clones, he immediately set to work.

Even the ground-based supercomputers that had been running the Wukong AI were repurposed, taking advantage of the current lull in fighting around Earth.

The Wukong AI was shut down, and the Divine Craft AI took its place.

The existing one thousand supercomputers were not enough.

Li Qingsong needed to build more than 5,000 additional large-scale supercomputers. Only then would the Divine Craft AI have enough processing power, and only then could his industrial capabilities be fully unleashed.

Faced with the Earth he had cherished and protected for centuries, once Li Qingsong made his decision, he held nothing back.

Countless rivers were dammed, their water diverted directly into factories for industrial use.

Lush prairies where flowers bloomed and cattle grazed leisurely were violently bulldozed flat under Li Qingsong’s control.

The thunder of explosions echoed through mountains that had once looked like they were draped in green blankets. Amid billowing dust and smoke, entire rock faces collapsed. Countless birds and beasts fled in terror as forests vanished, and whole mountain ranges were transformed into open-pit mines for Li Qingsong’s resource extraction.

’Environmental protection? There’s no time for that now. Develop first, restore later!’

Through these reckless development methods, countless tracts of rugged terrain were flattened, and factories sprang up at astonishing speed.

A place that was a lush, primeval jungle one day would be replaced by a massive cluster of factory buildings just two or three days later.

A sprawling network of railway lines flooded the landscape, carving through mountains and bridging rivers. They rapidly linked the mines and factories, and soon, trains began to thunder along the tracks.

Across the vast oceans, giant freighters traversed thousands of miles, shipping immense quantities of materials to where they were needed most.

Aside from the military Clones needed to maintain pressure on Venus, Li Qingsong took advantage of the temporary truce to focus nearly all his energy on developing Earth.

With enough supercomputer support, the Divine Craft AI’s power was on full display. In control centers everywhere, Clones sat in solemn rows, rapidly typing at their consoles and issuing streams of commands.

To the Clones, it was just another command. But under the guidance of the Divine Craft AI, that single command could mean the collapse of a mountain, a railway line stretching for a thousand miles, the disappearance of a forest, or the damming of a river!

In just six short months, hundreds of thousands of factories appeared across the face of the Earth. And in that same brief period, the planet’s once vibrant surface began to fall silent, becoming scarred and broken.

The power of industry was laid bare.

Six months later, construction began simultaneously on the first one hundred space elevators.

Massive quantities of Zero Fiber were transported to the construction sites. Following a process similar to the previous space elevator projects, a primary cable was first established, which would then be reinforced and thickened.

The difference was that Li Qingsong’s engineering capabilities were now far more advanced, so construction was significantly faster.

By the time the first 100 space elevators were complete, all the foundational infrastructure was in place: the Supercomputing Bases, Zero Fiber factories, mines, railways, nuclear fission plants, and everything else.

Then, construction began on the next nine hundred elevators, from number 101 to 1,000, all at the same time!

Although the first one hundred space elevators were finished, Li Qingsong didn’t begin transporting water immediately.

The reason was simple: as soon as the transport began, the Blutuk People would realize his intentions and would undoubtedly dispatch a fleet to attack.

And with construction still underway, he couldn’t spare the resources to fend off an attack.

He couldn’t transport water yet, but he could use the time to move other materials and build the necessary support infrastructure in orbit.

Thus, by the time all the space elevators were finished, the support infrastructure was complete as well.

It was time to start moving the water!
