The room was relatively big for the objects in it. A long table, and seat of six. Drawers and a few bookshelves could also be seen. On the walls of the room were portraits of various persons.
Inside this room sat five persons. Not just the regular persons but four Generals. They were the Generals that ran the academy and institution.
General Bryan, Head of the Year One freshers sat on one side of the table. His blue eyes grazed across the room like he was searching for someone.
Beside him sat General Collins of the Year Three arm. His black hair fell across his face and he had an unusual eye patch covering his right eye. His left radiated a blue ray of energy.
On the opposite end sat General Oliver of Year Two. His pink hair seemed uncommon and the star marks on both sides of his cheek. His eyes beamed with dark mischief and mystery.
Finally but not the least was General Valandi. The very same woman who had treated Xero twice. Her cascading beauty radiated in the room. She was still regarded with so much respect as she was the second ever female General of the institution. She armed the Year Fours.
With these four Generals present, Bryan thought it was okay to begin even though they were missing the General of Year Five and the High General.
"I think I will proceed with the meeting. We have waited long enough for him. Its been thirty minutes now." Bryan said.
"Really, not going to give him a chance at your meeting? C’mon another five minutes won’t hurt?" Oliver said and gave a mischievous smile.
"I can’t spare another minute of our precious time. I’m sure that we all have important things to handle outside school work." Bryan said looked at the other two who nodded.
"So firstly, we all know that death of students in this school isn’t a new occurrence. It has happened numerous times and the institution sees it as a way of hardening those who survive the harsh reality of life."
Bryan then looked at Valandi before looking at Oliver. Then he continued.
"Recently there was an incident in the university forest and two guards were killed and a Year one student was almost killed and a Year two student was killed."
"We conducted an investigation and our crew found out nothing. The boy who survived left the hospital before we could question him.
Now yesterday there was a clash in the refectory and 38 year one students were mishandled by Year Two students."
"These things happen always I don’t understand why we should be bothered about this." Oliver said and hissed lightly.
"Well I do know that but I found something when I got there last night. I found this." Bryan said and he snapped his fingers.
A syringe appeared out of no where and landed directly into his palm. Then he flashed the syringe at each of them, giving them time to access the blood.
When each of them had peeked at it, he snapped his fingers again and it disappeared. Then he placed both hands on the table.
"What do you think that is?" He asked and the three of them stared at him.
"That obviously isn’t human blood. From my perspective it is in fact a demon’s blood." Valandi said but Collins knew better.
"That is the blood of a vampire." He said. Bryan smiled loving the fact that they understood what he was saying.
"A vampire? Interesting. Never thought we would find them in the school. Haven’t seen one before." Valandi said and gave her usual generous smile.
"You can’t conclude that it is the blood of a vampire. Besides it is impossible for such a thing to reside in this place." Oliver argued.
"Yes I know all that but it is better to act under precaution. If this is indeed the blood of a vampire, it means either two things." Bryan said and paused.
"The Progenitor is still in our school and we failed to flush him two years ago." Collins said.
"Or a new Progenitor is in the school." Valandi chipped in.
Oliver frowned lightly. His earlier smile of mischief was gone and replaced with frustration. He gave a cold glare at Bryan as he proceeded.
"Well definitely we can’t exactly pin point who the culprit is but we can circle him out from Year two students. I picked this up from the site of attack last night." Bryan said and it was then that Oliver stood up furiously.
"You can’t conclude that it was done by a Year two. Definitely there were more Year ones in that very refectory than the Year two so why point fingers at Year twos?" Oliver said in anger.
"Definitely I’m aware of that which is why I am proposing a quarantine for both years. That way we can fish out the vampire in the crew." Bryan said and smiled lightly.
"You can’t just do that. You need the approval of the High General to do that." Oliver argued further.
"I knew you would say that which is why I called him earlier. He gave his approval for a vote on this matter." He said and looked at both Valandi and Collins.
"What?!" Oliver interjected in anger.
"I vote for quarantine. Definitely we have to get rid of the vampire in the school." Collins said calmly. Oliver stared at him with pure anger.
"I vote in favour of the good of the school. I vote for quarantine. Sorry Oliver. But it isn’t only your arm that’s at stake. The entire school is at stake. You should understand by now that we can’t train demons." Valandi said and gave him a kiss in the air.
He frowned at her with deadly rage. He then looked at Bryan who smiled lightly. He was completely boxed out. Even if he had to vote together with the General who was absent he couldn’t beat a three man vote.
"Very wise of you." Oliver said and stormed out of the room.
Bryan smiled. With that the meeting had reached a conclusion. They would conduct a quarantine.
