I Acquried A Murdering System

Chapter 36 - 036: Are You A Vampire?

Xero sat in the room. His eyes glancing around the walls decorated with crucifix and silver linings. The sheer amount of this was enough to make any vampire freak out.

Then he remembered that the doorknobs had been liquefied. It wasn’t actually water that had been placed on it but holy water. So if a vampire were to open the door, their hands would burn.

Xero couldn’t help but appreciate this very man’s intelligence and technique. He seemed to be quite good at his job.

"My name is Silas Weth and I am an expert in hunting vampires. The paper you are holding helps slows the time inside this room fifteen times slower than reality. " The short man said and Xero turned to stare at him.

Now he could see why they were asked to collect this paper and why no one had wasted a lot of time in the room. It really s brilliant way to finish all the work.

"My I know your name as well." He asked and Xero was pulled out of his thoughts.

"Xero. Xero Damien."

"If you wouldn’t mind, show us your palms." He said and Xero confidently showed him his hands.

Silas examined it and didn’t record anything out of the ordinary. Then he told Xero to stare at the silver lining which he did. There was no effect on Xero as he stared at his reflection on the silver surface.

"Well you are passing the test exceeding well. So then, place your thumb on this." Silas said and pulled over a black plate.

"What is that?"

"A burn plate. It is part of your test. Place your hands on it. It will burn you pretty well but not to worry we have a healer among us." Silas said and it was then that Xero noticed a silk haired man by his side. He had done a good job at concealing his scent and presence.

"If you say so." Xero said and placed his right palm on the plate and just then he felt an excruciating pain. He was about removing his palm due to the excessive pain but Silas pinned his hands done.

[24/30]

"Fuck! This is hell!" Xero exclaimed in pain.

When Silas thought it was enough burn, he removed Xero’s palm. Half of his hand had melted away and all that could be seen were his bones.

"You do have a nice bone structure." Silas commented but Xero felt like cursing him only that speaking would worsen the pain.

"Heal me already!!" He exclaimed in anger but Silas wasn’t done.

He picked up a tiny flashlight and pointed it at his exposed bones. As soon as the light hit his bones, they shone faint blue. This left a deafening shock on Xero’s face.

"What’s that?"

"Its a special tool I use in hunting. The light reflects the true colour and specie of the host." Silas said and paused.

"I haven’t seen a blue before." He said.

"Does that mean I’m a vampire? I mean I’m not a vampire. Everyone knows that." Xero said but Silas remained calm.

"You may not be a vampire but I can assure that you aren’t as human as your classmates. A normal human was supposed to reflect white but yours reflected a different colour automatically keeping you on the balance." Silas said and the silk haired man walked over to heal his wound.

Xero stared at Silas while the man sewed his palm together with his healing magic. He wondered what was going on in his mind, was he going to imprison him or kill him or use him as a test subject?

He knew one thing though. This man wasn’t going to act on this to see him off. Then he stared at his hands.

The system must have been responsible for this. There was no other valid explanation in his head. The system had changed him with time and he hadn’t noticed these changes until lately.

The silk haired man finished the job and walked back behind Silas. Then Silas leaned in and dropped a large crucifix on the table. Xero stared at it wondering if this was going to be another trick to know whether he was different from the humans.

"Carrry this crucifix for 5 seconds." Silas said and Xero stared at him.

"Just do it."

Xero picked up the crucifix and to his surprise it was surprisingly light. He wondered why Silas had put a duration of 5 seconds. Were vampires unable to hold it for 5 seconds?

He held it in for about half a minute before Silas asked him to put it down. Then he scribbled something on his note and looked at Xero.

"Now, you can go." Silas said and Xero smiled.

"But you are going upstairs, to the roof." He chipped just before Xero’s smile faded.

"What? Why?" He asked.

"You will do as I say and will not complain about my services. Now a guard will lead you up there. If you pass the test up there then you are free to go." Silas said with finality.

Xero could only nod as a guard opened the door and walked out of the room. Just then his eyes caught a glimpse of Gaun. He hadn’t seen her in a while. He wondered where she had been all this while.

The guard guided him upstairs. When they reached the last door, the guard gestured for him to walk in.

Xero hesitated for a while before giving in. He opened the door and as he stepped his foot inside, the door shot closed behind him.

He looked up to see the sun blazing far more than usual. Then he noticed a few persons up there with him. That was when he remembered Tenny.

He quickly scanned the surrounding to see him and to his shock, Tenny was clutching another guy by the neck. His fangs were out and his eyes were red.

"No. Tenny don’t do that." Xero screamed but before he could intervene, he was knocked off the ground.

He turned and noticed it was Romeo standing before him. A dreadful rage caught up inside him.
