Xero sighed lightly as he stared at Naman. This match up had taken longer than he had anticipated. He was strong but strong enough to entice him.

Despite the fact that he was now a Level 35 and there wasn’t much of a difference in their levels, Xero could still feel a hunch that he was far stronger than his opponent.

He hadn’t even used his Otch Hammer or Blood Scythe and he had kept up with Naman’s mirror ability. A smirk appeared on his lips as the realization hit him.

He was stronger than Naman. With that he activated his Blood Scythe.

[Activation Failed.]

[Host can only use ability when there is a large amount of blood spillage.]

"Guess I’ll use the Otch Hammer then."

In that instant, a large deadening Hammer with the head twice the size of a football. The enormous energy that radiated forced Naman to step backwards.

"What the hell is this freak? How can someone be this powerful? Is he a General or something? He has been holding back all this while? Fuck you. I’m killing you!!!"

He charged towards Xero but s single swipe from his hammer and Naman was shot off the ground. Then he landed further into the forest.

Xero smirked as he took slow deliberate and heavy steps towards him. His eyes sparked with excitement as he noticed the fear in his preys eyes.

"Such is life. The hunter always gets to be hunted. I can imagine the terror you have caused the minds of the ones who you mutated into vampires." Xero said and paused.

"I can only wish that whatever terror you caused them wouldn’t be half as deadly as what I will do to you." Xero said and smirked.

"Wait. Please hear me out. I know you are strong and powerful. I will give you whatever you want if you spare me." Naman pleaded as he knew that he had lost the battle.

"Whatever I want huh?" Xero said and smirked.

"Anything you ask for and I will see to it that you get it." Naman pleaded as his heart beat fast and hard.

"Really? Then in that case can you bring back the lived of the innocent students that had to be decapitated just to stop the virus you planted."

Naman’s eyes widened in horror. What sort of inhuman demand was that? How would he possibly raise the dead?

"Or perhaps if I ask for half the school property you can provide that for me can’t you?" Xero said and chuckled in mockery.

"Come on. You don’t have to do this. I could make you a space in the cult and you will live a comfortable life." Naman pleaded as tears hung in his eyes.

Xero stared at him long enough before breaking into a series of laughter.

"Well you see, we humans end up proclaiming what we are not. We say what we aren’t sure is possible thereby creating loopholes in our thinking. As humans we are all fallible but there is an extent to that. And the moment we cross that line we become nothing but unjustified hypocrites living in the fantasy of our world." Xero said and swung his hammer lightly.

"You pinged on a price you couldn’t afford and now I’ll do justice to that by fulfilling my role in that deal."

"No wait. I was put up to do this. The Desmantles put me up. I swear it was their fault. I only relayed the message." Naman pleaded again but Xero’s eyes glinted with no trace of mercy from behind the mask.

"And who exactly are the Desmantles? And why should I believe a single word from you? You are only but a human trying to survive."

"I’m not lying! I’m serious. They put me up to do this. We have been working on the vampire traits long but we haven’t been told why?"

"Excellent. So what did you find from your discovery? A chunk of useful pills that will instantly mutate someone?"

"I can’t say but—"

"Why were you here? I didn’t expect to find you in here? So tell me what’s the plot you and your gang have cooked up."

"I don’t know what you mean."

"Don’t play dumb. I could silence you in an instinct without anyone knowing or do you have spies around?"

Naman stared at him in shock. His face gave him away. The perplexity on his face showed how surprised he was that Xero had found out.

"Bingo. That’s all I need. So if I kill you I’ll be hunted. Nice plan. Let’s get this going, shall we?" He said with a light grin.

He swung his hammer and with brute force, it landed over Naman, crushing his bones in one hit. Blood splattered over the place and on Xero.

[Soul Collector: Allows Host to collect the soul of decapitated beings. It only works on account that the body has been dead for a maximum of 3 hours.]

"Hmm. That’s nice. Wonder how I cam use this in battle, since my opponents are living not dead like zombies."

He turned and saw Naman laying on the ground. His lower half was still in tact but his upper limbs and body had been cruelly crushed by Xero.

[Soul Collection Possible]

Xero sighed lightly before getting closer and staring at his handy work.

"Collect."

With that the corpse shook violently until a spirit form of Naman walked out of the dead body.

Xero stared at him wondering what next to do. Then in an instant, it motioned up like fluid and entered inside Xero’s mouth.

Xero choked on the spot and he collapsed to the ground in pain, clutching his neck like he could squeeze it out.

[Soul Collection complete.]

[1/??? Souls Collected]

"Huh? What’s that?"

Just then he heard footsteps approaching him from behind. He paused his movements.

"Don’t move. We’ve got you surrounded."
