I Am Already A Queen

Chapter 84: Two-Face Girl

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Two-Face Girl

"There is absolutely no need to utter another word of explanation." Manager Han’s expression turned completely cold, his eyes resembling shards of ice. His eyes narrowed into a dangerous, lethal slit. "From this exact moment onward, every single individual in your entire party is permanently blacklisted from this establishment. Do not attempt to sneak back in under a false name. Otherwise, you may find yourselves physically unable to walk back out."

Manager Han did not just enforce the permanent blacklist on Xu Heng and his entire social group. He delivered a direct, physical threat that left no room for interpretation.

"No! No! Manager Han, please show mercy!" Xu Heng cried out anxiously, tears of panic brimming in his eyes. "I was not the one who called you low-class! It was entirely his fault! You can blacklist him alone and let the rest of us go!"

"Yeah, Manager Han! We are completely innocent in this matter!" Another wealthy friend hurriedly echoed, desperately trying to untangle himself from the sinking ship.

One after another, the pampered young heirs began pleading desperately for Manager Han’s executive mercy, completely throwing their outsider friend under the bus. Ironically, the foolish friend who had actually insulted Manager Han just stood there in silence, without saying a single word. He looked completely bewildered and lost, utterly failing to comprehend why everyone was panicking over a mere manager.

"My decision is final." Manager Han waved his hand with immense impatience, signalling his security forces. "Vacate the premises immediately. Otherwise, I will have my security detail physically drag every single one of you out into the street."

Hearing the chilling finality of the warning, Xu Heng and the others immediately stopped their useless begging. They knew with absolute certainty that Manager Han was not joking in the slightest. Being forcibly thrown out and slammed onto the concrete sidewalk in front of so many prominent high-society guests would be an even more devastating, permanent humiliation.

In the end, they could only lower their heads in deep shame and walk out of the luxury lobby on their own two feet. The moment their shoes cleared the grand entrance and they were completely outside the establishment, Xu Heng and the others immediately whipped around, converging onto the clueless friend who had caused the disaster.

"It is all because of your goddamn mouth!" Xu Heng shouted furiously, his face turning purple as he grabbed the idiot by his jacket.

"Brother Xu Heng, what on earth did I even do wrong?" The man asked in genuine, exasperated confusion. "I was only stating the objective truth. He is just a hired manager. Why are all of you prominent heirs so utterly terrified of a working-class peasant?"

"You absolute, unmitigated idiot!" One of the local friends snapped in a rage. "That establishment is backed by the underground syndicates! It is one of the most important, protected gathering hubs for Hannan City’s entire upper society!"

"That... I..." The man suddenly choked on his own breath, his face turning pale as the reality of his blunder finally began to settle in his mind.

"Because of your uneducated mouth, our entire social network has been blacklisted in a single afternoon." Another friend glared at him with pure hatred.

"But..." Another heir in the group suddenly spoke up, his voice low as he pointed out the uncomfortable, foundational truth of the matter. "If you, Brother Xu Heng, hadn’t gone out of your way to maliciously provoke that cripple in the first place, absolutely none of this disaster would have happened."

The surrounding group of young men instantly fell into a dead, heavy silence.

It was the undeniable truth. Everything had originally started because Xu Heng’s massive ego had demanded he humiliate Yin Jiuqi in public. If Xu Heng had simply ignored the disabled man and walked into the venue like everyone else, their reputations would still be fully intact.

"I..." Xu Heng opened his mouth to defend his pride, but no words could form against the weight of their glares.

"Brother Xu Heng, I think it would be vastly better for our family businesses if we completely stopped hanging out together from this day forward." One of his oldest friends stated bluntly, severing ties on the spot.

"Yeah. Let’s all go our separate ways and dissolve this circle from now on." Another local heir agreed without a second thought.

The remaining members of the group silently nodded in cold agreement before walking away toward their respective luxury cars, completely abandoning Xu Heng where he stood on the pavement.

Just like that... through a single sequence of arrogance and petty malice, their once-powerful, tight-knit circle of elite friends completely fell apart into nothingness.

Yin Jiuqi allowed a faint, enigmatic smile to briefly cross his lips as his electric wheelchair glided out of the high-end establishment, leaving the broken remnants of Xu Heng’s social circle far behind him.

.....

The following morning, the atmosphere inside the grand Jiang Residence was deceptively quiet. Qiao Meixia was sitting entirely alone at the massive marble dining table, quietly and methodically eating her breakfast when Jiang Yanna stepped into the room.

The exact millisecond Jiang Yanna realised the dining hall was devoid of any other family members, the gentle, angelic facade she usually wore instantly evaporated. She approached the table with a wicked, deeply malicious smile twisting her features. Qiao Meixia, completely unbothered by her presence, did not even bother to lift her gaze to acknowledge her.

"Oh... look who decided to wake up early today." Jiang Yanna said, her voice dripping with artificial sweetness that quickly turned sharp.

Qiao Meixia merely cut her eyes toward her once, her expression deadpan and cold, before turning back to focus strictly on her breakfast.

"Are you honestly under the delusional impression that you have the right to ride to the elite academy in the same vehicle as us today? Who on earth do you think you actually are?" Jiang Yanna sneered violently.

Driven by a surge of toxic jealousy, she reached down and deliberately, heavily shoved Qiao Meixia’s shoulder from behind.

The sudden, hostile force caused the premium silver spoon in Qiao Meixia’s slender hand to instantly slip from her grasp. It fell onto the table with a sharp, echoing clatter, sending a small wave of hot soup splashing directly over the front of her top.

Even though Qiao Meixia was wearing her signature pitch-black clothing, the large, dark wet stain saturating the luxury fabric was still exceptionally and clearly noticeable.

Qiao Meixia slowly, deliberately raised her head, her dark eyes narrowing as she locked a chilling, murderous glare directly onto Jiang Yanna’s face.

The exact millisecond she met those profoundly cold, unyielding eyes, Jiang Yanna’s triumphant smirk wavered, and she instinctively took a sharp step backwards, a brief shudder of fear running down her spine.

By now, after spending several days observing the domestic patterns of the Jiang Family, Qiao Meixia had finally figured Jiang Yanna out completely. This girl was a textbook sociopath who loved acting entirely innocent, frail, and gentle whenever authority figures or outside eyes were present in the room. However, the absolute moment they were left completely alone without witnesses, she would instantly reveal her true, hideous colours, constantly using every opportunity to belittle, insult, or maliciously provoke Qiao Meixia.

Just as the silence between the two girls grew suffocatingly heavy, the heavy double doors swung open, and both Jiang Chinan and Jiang Suhan walked into the dining room together. In an instant, faster than a camera shutter, Jiang Yanna flawlessly switched back into her sweet, doting, and benevolent sister persona.

"Sister Meixia, you really should be much more careful while eating your soup, dear. I will immediately ask the head maid to bring you another clean spoon right away." Jiang Yanna said with an incredibly gentle, nurturing voice as she gracefully bent down to retrieve the fallen spoon from the polished floor.

"What on earth happened here, Sis?" Jiang Chinan asked, his brow furrowing as he walked over to the table.

"Oh, it’s really nothing at all, Chinan. Sister Meixia just accidentally dropped her spoon while she was eating." Jiang Yanna explained, her beautiful face shifting into a perfect expression of deep sisterly concern.

"Humph! Figures. She probably lacks even the most basic table manners after living in the mud for so long." Jiang Chinan mocked loudly, crossing his arms with a cold sneer.

Qiao Meixia possessed absolutely zero interest in playing along with the siblings’ pathetic, small-time theatrical acts. Without uttering a single word, she simply reached across the table, picked up an unused spare spoon from the silver tray, and calmly, methodically finished the remainder of her soup as if no one else were in the room.
