I Am Already A Queen

Chapter 93: Told Her Brother About Her Motorcycle

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: Told Her Brother About Her Motorcycle

Qiao Meixia thought about her daily commute for a brief moment, factoring in low-profile requirements.

[Q]:Send me the cheapest one in the collection. I think it’s the Ducati Panigale V4 R. {Picture Attached}

[MadDog]:Got it, Boss. The logistics team will handle it immediately. You can expect the transport delivery tomorrow morning.

[Q]:Tell the delivery team to hold at the perimeter checkpoint. I’ll head down and collect the keys personally.

[MadDog]:Copy that, Boss. Oh, by the way, the upper management at NineHell expressed immense satisfaction with our last intelligence operation. They are heavily pushing for another high-level collaboration with us.

[Q]:Well... that entirely depends on whether their offered payout suits my current taste.

[MadDog]:Hahaha... Classical Boss! I will convey the message to their proxy.

[Q]:Also, give Psycho a harsh reminder to inspect the encrypted network maintenance regularly. If the dark-web portal crashes on us again like last week, I will personally beat him up.

[MadDog]:Understood, Boss! I will make sure he does not sleep until every server line is green.

[Q]: Good. I am going offline.

Qiao Meixia casually tossed her phone onto the bedside table. She stood up, walked over to the heavy bedroom door, and turned the lock mechanism. After ensuring her privacy, she climbed onto the large bed, pulled the soft duvet over her shoulders, and drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep within minutes.

....

The following morning, a rare event occurred. Jiang Yanna unexpectedly waited near the main entrance for Qiao Meixia so they could ride to the academy together in the family car.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chinan was already sitting comfortably in the leather back seat, glaring fiercely through the open door at Qiao Meixia as she descended the steps. His murderous eyes practically screamed the explicit message: ’Don’t you dare even think about stepping foot inside this vehicle.’

"Sister Meixia," Jiang Yanna offered a sweet, innocent smile as she gestured toward the vehicle. "You can sit up front in the passenger seat today. There really is not any extra room in the back row with Chinan and me."

However, before Qiao Meixia could even open her mouth to decline, Jiang Suhan’s authoritative voice cut through the driveway.

"You two go on ahead to the academy first." Jiang Suhan stated, stepping out of the front doors with his briefcase in hand. "I will personally drive Qiaoqiao to school myself today."

"But, Eldest Brother..." Jiang Yanna put on a deeply worried expression, her voice trembling slightly. "Won’t taking a detour to drop her off make you terribly late for your executive morning meetings?"

"It’s completely fine." Jiang Suhan smiled faintly, offering a reassuring glance. "I have more than enough buffer time scheduled today."

"Alright then..." Jiang Yanna nodded with absolute obedience, her gentle posture remaining flawless on the surface.

In reality, an intense wave of frustration was boiling beneath her serene facade. She had deliberately suggested that Qiao Meixia ride with them in the family car specifically to prevent Jiang Suhan from personally chauffeuring her to school like a prized treasure. She desperately needed to avoid having their high-society classmates witness the powerful man like her eldest brother escorting Qiao Meixia to the campus gates once again.

Ever since Qiao Meixia had made her dramatic appearance at the academy, the surrounding elite students had begun constantly comparing the two of them. The absolute last thing Jiang Yanna wanted was for the entire student body to start spreading rumours that the formidable Jiang Suhan favoured and cherished his biological sister far more than his adopted one.

Unfortunately, Jiang Suhan had volunteered his services before she could execute the rest of her social manipulation. No matter how deeply unwilling she felt inside, she did not possess the courage to openly object to her eldest brother’s firm decisions.

Qiao Meixia calmly bypassed the family sedan and stepped into the passenger seat of Jiang Suhan’s luxury sports vehicle.

"The private driver I ordered for you has not officially completed his background clearance yet." Jiang Suhan explained, reaching over to buckle his seatbelt before starting the engine. "So, I will be serving as your personal chauffeur for the next couple of days."

"There is no need to arrange a private driver for me." Qiao Meixia replied flatly, gazing out the window. "I already ordered a motorcycle. It should be delivered directly to me today."

"What?" Jiang Suhan abruptly paused, turning his head to stare at her in complete astonishment. "A motorcycle?"

His handsome brows immediately knit together in a tight, protective frown.

"Is a machine like that even remotely safe for you? And... do you even hold a valid motorcycle license?" Jiang Suhan asked.

"I am certain it is safe enough." Qiao Meixia answered in her usual matter-of-fact tone. "And yes, I possess a valid license."

Jiang Suhan stared at her calm side profile for several quiet seconds before letting out a long, helpless sigh.

For some inexplicable reason, every single casual conversation he shared with his younger sister seemed to pull back the curtain on yet another shocking, unimaginable revelation.

First, she had casually revealed herself to be a record-shattering academic genius who aced Olympiad papers in her sleep. Now, she was casually mentioning that she possessed a license to operate high-powered motorcycles. He suddenly felt an overwhelming, hollow ache in his chest as he realised just how terrifyingly little he actually knew about the chaotic, hidden life Qiao Meixia had survived before returning to the Jiang Family.

"Why do you already possess a license at such a young age?" Jiang Suhan asked, his brow furrowing slightly in genuine curiosity.

However, before Qiao Meixia could even begin to formulate an answer, he raised a hand to halt her, speaking softly.

"No, forget it. You don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to. If you truly wish to ride your motorcycle to school, then go right ahead. The academy’s regulations do allow students to commute on motorcycles." Jiang Suhan added.

In truth, many students on campus, especially the young masters from high-society families, frequently commuted to school on motorcycles. However, their rides were far from ordinary. They usually roared onto campus riding top-of-the-line superbikes or custom-built luxury motorcycles worth millions. Jiang Suhan was secretly worried that Qiao Meixia might become the target of shallow ridicule or snobbish bullying once the other spoiled students saw what kind of modest, ordinary motorcycle she rode.

"If you ever decide that you don’t want to ride the motorcycle to school anymore, just let me know immediately." Jiang Suhan added firmly, looking at her through the rearview mirror. "I will personally arrange a private car and a dedicated driver for you."

"Hmm... I understand." Qiao Meixia gave a calm nod.

The luxury sports car smoothly pulled up near the academy gates. Jiang Suhan unbuckled his seatbelt, preparing to step out and open the door for her, but Qiao Meixia immediately put up a hand to stop him.

"There is no need for you to get out." Qiao Meixia stated, her tone flat yet decisive. "I can walk in by myself. You should head to the corporate office now so you will not be late for your meetings."

Hearing such a surprisingly long, considerate sentence coming from his usually quiet younger sister, Jiang Suhan could not help the warm, radiant smile that spread across his face before he gave a helpless nod.

"Alright, alright. Take good care of yourself today." Jiang Suhan said, his eyes filled with gentle affection.

"Hmm..." Qiao Meixia responded briefly before stepping out of the passenger side and closing the door.

The sports car smoothly accelerated and drove away. As Qiao Meixia walked down the tree-lined path toward her classroom building, a small group of students suddenly stepped directly into her route, deliberately blocking her path. She tilted her head slightly to one side, raising an eyebrow in quiet indifference.

"Hi there. You must be Jiang Yanna’s twin sister, right?" One of the girls asked, stepping forward with an amused smile.

The speaker was Chen Xiaoqing. She had been absent from school yesterday due to personal matters. Otherwise, with her insatiable appetite for high-society gossip, she would have already sought Qiao Meixia out much earlier.

However, before Chen Xiaoqing could even begin to deliver her follow-up remarks, Qiao Meixia cut her off directly.

"No," Qiao Meixia stated, her voice smooth and devoid of any emotion.

"No? No what?" Chen Xiaoqing was taken aback, blinking in genuine confusion at the blunt rejection.

"No, I am not her twin sister. That is the direct answer to your question." Qiao Meixia replied flatly.

"Oh...? You are not her twin sister?" Chen Xiaoqing’s eyes gleamed with instant intrigue, a sharp smirk playing on her lips. "Then why on earth did she tell all of us that you were?"
