Chapter 1884: Chapter 1018: Revis’s Gift

In the Dream Space,

Lis looked at the Floating City Library in the distance.

This library replicated the original appearance of the collections of the Neserel Magic Empire of the past, allowing him to extract a vast amount of lost magical knowledge and understand the reality and illusion of this dreamscape.

Without further hesitation, Lis started walking slowly toward the library.

The streets along the way gradually rose, and the closer he got to the central area, the stronger the magical aura became, with the magic power swirling in the air becoming increasingly pure.

Soon, he steadily stood before the main entrance of the Floating City Library.

The entire library was constructed from some special kind of magic stone, with walls of white warmth, gently flowing with a faint space spirit light.

The dome soared into the clouds, embedded with countless tiny magic crystal stones, like scattered stars, illuminating the entire hall.

The main door was carved from a solid piece of demon crystal, engraved with complex space runes and arithmetical aphorisms, emanating an ancient and solemn aura.

Upon entering the library, Lis clearly felt the layers of space magic overlapping.

Here, the finest space scaling technique had been applied, appearing grand and magnificent from the outside, while the internal space was infinitely expanded and stretched.

As far as the eye could see, the endless rows of bookshelves extended upward, reaching into the space beyond the naked eye’s reach.

The densely packed tomes were neatly arranged, with a quantity and variety far beyond Lis’s knowledge.

Compared to the Kane Floating City Library he had visited before, this library far exceeded in both quantity and scale.

The interior was extremely quiet, with only the occasional sound of pages turning. A few robe-clad mages sat reading intently, not noticing Lis as he walked in.

He casually reached out and took an ancient tome from the nearby shelf. The moment his fingers touched the pages, the real sensation of the paper, the rich scent of ink filled his senses, the details so realistic that they were beyond reproach.

Lis slowly opened the tome and began to read carefully.

The book detailed foundational theories of ancient arcane, the derivation process of low-level techniques, engraving techniques of magic runes, and even many accounts of folk magic from the Netheril Empire.

The text was detailed, the logic rigorous, and the details perfected to the extreme, each record stood up to scrutiny and was certainly not something a mere illusion could fabricate.

But as he continued to leaf through several tomes, peculiar anomalies quietly surfaced.

He raised his hand again to take down an ancient book that recorded high-level magic models, only to find it completely blank.

There was no text, no magic runes upon the yellowed pages, just an empty book as if it had never been written upon.

His heart stirred slightly as he quickly flipped through several surrounding tomes, and the bizarre situation repeatedly occurred.

Some tomes contained detailed content, fully replicating various magical knowledge.

While another portion of the tomes were entirely blank, not a word, not a letter, completely devoid of content.

These two completely different types of books interwoven in this extremely realistic dream library created a strong sense of dissonance.

Lis gently rubbed the blank pages with his fingertips, his eyes deepening as he instantly understood the key.

This dream space was not perfect, the Great Arcanist who constructed the dream had replicated much of the Neserel Magic Empire’s magical knowledge, but there was a portion that could not be recreated.

Those blank pages represented blind spots of knowledge that the power of the dream could not touch or replicate, and were the most obvious flaw in this dreamscape.

The reason for this situation should be an issue with the Great Arcanist of this dream space.

Regarding this situation, Lis had his speculations.

The foundation of this dream space should be that Great Arcanist.

The books and knowledge in this library were likely drawn from the memories of that Great Arcanist.

Books existing in the memory of this Great Arcanist could be reproduced by the dream space.

However, for books that the Great Arcanist had never seen, the dream space was helpless.

After all, no matter how special or wondrous, the dream space could not conjure magic books and the knowledge within out of thin air.

Hence, some books had no content whatsoever.

Lis was so certain because he noticed other mages in the library, some of whom were engrossed in reading those blank books.

Rows of ancient bookshelves towered to the ceiling, neatly arranged, layer upon layer extending to the edge of Lis’s vision.

The library brimming with magical knowledge before him held an irresistible attraction.

He walked slowly to the nearest shelf and casually pulled out an intricately bound magic tome.

These books, preserved in the memory of this Great Arcanist, each contained unique magical mysteries, possessing high value for study and reference.

Looking at all the floating cities he had traveled to in the past, whether it was the Kane Floating City he resided in or the two floating cities of the Pan-Continent Mage Association, not a single collection matched the library before him.

The range of magic tomes here was diverse and extensive, covering everything from foundational elemental magic models and techniques of magic power operation to ancient arcane arrays, mysteries of soul magic, and analyses of lost forbidden techniques, all-encompassing.

As Lis perused the tome in his hands, he gradually pieced together the background of this floating city from the related records within the books.

This floating city, known as Eric, belonged to the Nasery Magic Empire and was personally presided over by the Great Arcanist Revis.
