I Ascend to the Divine Throne through Arcane Means
Chapter 1918 - 1033: Divine-tier Hellhound (2)Chapter 1918: Chapter 1033: Divine-tier Hellhound (2)
After all, Lis’s soul and consciousness had already reached a level almost like that of the Divine. Strong indeed.
As the Rule of Wisdom continued to improve, and coupled with the newly acquired Rule of Magic, Lis’s soul was also nourished by the World Rules, continuously enhancing.
It seemed precisely for this reason that when Lis met Cain again, the pressure he felt was not as overwhelming as the first encounter.
Thus, even when faced with the divine power pressure from the numerous Abyss Evil Gods at this moment, Lis did not feel too restricted.
And now, after releasing numerous alchemy creations, Lis settled himself down to observe the surroundings.
It didn’t take long before Lis followed other demons to the core area of the Rot Fog Horn.
Here, the demons were in chaos, with powerful Abyss Demons visibly present.
The gathered Abyss Demons could enter the Gaia Main World through the World Rift at any time, yet not all of them entered the rift.
A significant portion of the Abyss Demons waited around the World Rift, seemingly expecting something.
Lis did not notice anything unusual, nor did he spot the traces of those Abyss Evil Gods.
However...
Lis raised his head to look at the sky, his expression somewhat enigmatic.
Even without sensing any strange aura, Lis had an inexplicable sense of danger emanating from the sky above.
Within the Rot Fog Horn, besides those Abyss Evil Gods, there should be nothing else that could pose a threat to him.
As Lis noted these things, he also processed the feedback from the alchemy creations.
Just at that moment, something one of the released alchemy creations observed piqued Lis’s interest.
Lis focused his attention entirely on the alchemy puppet sent far away.
In the eyes of this alchemy life-form, all that was visible was a gray, desolate landscape with swirling black mist.
The air was filled with an intertwining miasma of decay, wrath, and destruction, with winds sharp enough to tear at the divine soul.
After a moment of sensing, Lis realized that this alchemy life-form was quite a significant distance away from him.
The location was far removed from the center of the Rot Fog Horn.
At the edge of his vision, a barren, gray hill stood silently.
In the vast Abyss Plane, this small hill was unremarkable, with no peculiar demonic aura nor indicators of any powerful demon’s habitation.
It was so plain that demons passing by would likely overlook it entirely.
Yet, in Lis’s eyes, the accumulation of rule powers around this hill was peculiar.
The power of the Abyss Rules twisted and intertwined around the hill, much like a tangled mass of yarn, without any discernible pattern.
Lis maneuvered the tiny alchemy life-form to quietly approach the hillside.
Following the rock face, he climbed to a hidden and deep cave.
This was where he observed the most significant overflow of rule power.
The alchemy life-form crawled step by step into the underground depths; the cave was rugged and narrow, with savage claw marks and dry, darkened demon blood smeared across the rock walls.
The deeper he descended, the thicker and more piercing the Abyss Breath grew, while the temperature rose sharply.
Scorching waves buffeted constantly, and even without sensation, the alchemy puppet began to warm up slightly.
After descending for unknown kilometers, the narrow passage abruptly vanished, and the view suddenly broadened.
A colossal, boundless underground cavern unfolded before Lis’s eyes.
The cavern walls were laced with dark red patterns of lava, while hidden golden patterns flowed faintly in the depths, with a black ceiling disappearing into darkness like an overturned sky.
In the center of the cavern, an enormous figure lay quietly on the ground, its colossal body akin to an endless mountain ridge.
Even in stillness, it made the cavern’s air almost solidify.
Suppressing the astonishing curiosity that rose within, Lis carefully controlled the alchemy life-form to approach the cavern walls.
This time, he could finally see the entire form of the beast clearly.
It was a legendary Three-headed Hellhound!
Three grotesque and terrifying canine heads were lined up, with the central head being the largest, its tusks jutting outward, and its sharp teeth gleaming with a soul-ripping chill.
The left and right heads were slightly smaller, eyes closed, but their nostrils still flared unconsciously, breathing in and out the scorching Abyss Breath.
The beast’s body was muscular and bulging, every inch containing explosive and terrifying power, its lines radiating an ultimate violent beauty, and its pitch-black beast skin like the finest demonized armor, blocking all external prying.
Fiery, pitch-black Painful Demon Fire flared and flickered along its fur.
This fire didn’t burn flesh but directly eroded the souls of living beings, magnifying all inner fears and pain.
Even at a distance, Lis’s own soul felt a slight pricking sensation.
Despite the fact that the Three-headed Hellhound was in deep slumber, with all three heads completely asleep, lacking any signs of awakening, it was surrounded by an overwhelming, terrifying pressure.
An invisible field of divine power enveloped the entire giant cavern, warping the space under its pressure, preventing any Abyssal Miasma from approaching its vicinity.
Lis’s heart weighed heavily, his mind reaching a certain conclusion.
This was no ordinary Abyss Demon, nor a Legendary Demon at its pinnacle, but a Demon Divine Dog that had truly stepped into the Divine Domain, possessing a complete divine rank!
It seemed that if this Three-headed Hellhound merely opened its eyes and awoke, the divine power exuding from it could easily crush all Abyss Demons around Lis.
Even Abyss Lords were as powerless as ants in its presence.
Lis gazed at the terrifying divine dog asleep like a mountain below, his fingers slightly curling.
How could a divine rank being suddenly appear in such a place?
Lis wanted to investigate personally, but going rashly would be quite risky.
The alchemy life-forms he crafted were too weak, so perhaps they wouldn’t be detected by this demon dog.
However, even with the Blood Pearl provided by Cain, being so close to the divine presence made detection uncertain.
However, only through the alchemy creations, observing much more was still difficult.
Lis could sense that the core of the chaotic rule power was located at the Hellhound’s position.
But its source didn’t seem to be the Hellhound itself but something beneath it.
So, was this Hellhound guarding something?
Lis wasn’t certain; could this be the secret hidden by Demogorgon?
If it was Demogorgon’s handiwork, using a divine-tier Hellhound wouldn’t be too surprising.
But if things were as Lis suspected, then his luck was extraordinarily good.
Lis thought for a moment and decided not to act rashly.
In that small mountain area, there weren’t any powerful demons present.
Arbitrarily probing might alert Demogorgon.
Lis thought for a moment, then reached out and patted a nearby Little Demon.
In the area where Lis was, there were fairly strong demons, but no Legendary Demon was in sight.
As for the Little Demons present, they were trembling in fear.
They were cleaning various debris, yet at any moment could become food for a powerful demon.
The Little Demon that Lis touched, with a slight tremor, lost all fear and dread in its eyes.
This Little Demon agilely avoided the bodies of surrounding demons, leaving the area where Lis was located and heading toward the distance.
The direction it moved was precisely where the divine-tier Hellhound was.
Through the alchemy creations, there was too little that Lis could accomplish.
So, Lis controlled this Little Demon, planning to use it to test the Hellhound’s status.
Of course, one Little Demon was not enough.
Lis pondered his next plan while secretly controlling the Little Demons passing nearby.
