I Became a Peak Master With No Disciples?!

Chapter 127: 127 - Dragon Goes To Sleep

Gritting his teeth, Su Ming channeled his Void Dragon Soul Constitution again without holding back. It was now a matter of pride for him. He could not hold back.

The Dragon Emperor Sword glowed with a golden purple glow as he channeled his complete Nascent Soul cultivation power into it.

He executed the second move, True Dragon Calamity.

A vertical cut of condensed raw force of his Dragon Will tore through the air. It was a strike designed to destroy everything in its path.

The Ancestor, this time, raised his hand. With a simple flick, he met the incoming calamity.

The collision did not produce a loud explosion. Instead, the attack simply collapsed upon itself, erased by an overwhelming and absolute force. The sheer pressure made Su Ming's head spin.

The sword strike vanished, leaving only a gentle breeze that rustled the Ancestor's white hair.

"Continue," the Ancestor spoke, a hint of amusement on his face.

Su Ming was almost approaching his limits. He had only one move left.

Su Ming drew upon the deepest reserves of his dantian. He summoned every shred of his Dragon Will and the accumulation of his Soul Power. His Void Dragon Soul opened its slit eyes and roared, pouring its ancient might into his meridians.

He raised the Dragon Emperor Sword.

This was his peak. It was the culmination of his cultivation, the absolute height of his sword path.

He compressed the entirety of his Void Dragon Will and Soul Power into a single point at the very tip of his blade. The surrounding light warped, as if the air itself was about to tear apart. The rustle of the pines and the whistling wind vanished, swallowed by a terrifying silence.

The valley seemed to contract around the silent point.

With a slow, deliberate thrust, he launched True Dragon Extinction Singularity.

There was no roar, no pressure wave, and no draconic aura flowing outward. Only a dimensionless point of absolute stillness, carrying the pure might of the Void Dragon Will, moved toward the Ancestor.

It was a singularity of his power, a strike that did not cut but unmade the very existence it touched.

Back at the White Lotus Peak, several mountains had already vanished while Su Ming developed this move. It was his trump card. If anything, he believed he would be able to damage even a Saint rank cultivator with this move, and he was certain that an Avatar Formation realm cultivator would not stand any chance against it.

Jian Wushen held his breath, his eyes wide as his Boundless Sword Physique read the movement of the strike. He had never seen a sword form that did not strike. The idea itself was paradoxical. How could there be a sword strike without movement? The Ancestor's expression finally changed, his eyes narrowing in interest.

He stepped forward, extending his bare right hand.

Without using a weapon, the Ancestor caught the singularity directly in his palm.

A sharp hum vibrated through the valley as the singularity struggled against the Ancestor's palm. Dark purple sparks crackled around his fingers, trying to erase the Ancestor's flesh. But the Ancestor's hand remained steady, a gentle glow of white Qi wrapping around the singularity like a cage.

For three breaths, the struggle continued.

Then, the Ancestor closed his fist. The singularity shattered with a soft pop, its destructive force dissolving into nothingness.

"Marvelous," the Ancestor growled, a hint of admiration in his eyes, looking down at his palm, which bore only faint marks. "Truly impressive."

Su Ming stood thirty paces away with his hand trembling. Sweat dripped from his chin, and his breath was heavy.

Back on the White Lotus Peak, the sun dipped low on the horizon, spilling orange light across the mountain. Elder Bai was cultivating near the eastern gardens, Lin Yao was in her cultivation chamber, and Bai Qingxian was yet to return from her Medicine Hall duties.

Wang Tian stood alone on the practice ground, executing his sword forms under the orange sky. A sudden ripple at the entrance made him stop.

Su Ming landed on the stone platform from the sky above.

Wang Tian stepped forward to greet him, but paused. 'Something is odd.'

His master's shoulders were slumped, and his eyes looked devoid of any attachment. He looked like a man who had seen through the secrets of the world and had given up on every worldly pleasure.

'Master has changed,' Wang Tian thought in awe. 'Did he experience an enlightenment?'

Su Ming slowly turned to the sunset. "Disciple Wang Tian."

"Yes, Master!" Wang Tian bowed.

"What is the ultimate defense against an opponent as vast as the sky?"

Wang Tian hesitated, thinking of the vast sword path. "Is it... to comprehend the heavens? To comprehend the legendary formless sword?"

Su Ming shook his head. "No. It is a thick quilt. Under it, the heavens are severed. Even a Demon King cannot find you in that absolute darkness."

Wang Tian was confused.

"You just need to lie flat," Su Ming continued. "The horizontal path is the way. Those who lie down are already at one with the Heavenly Dao."

Wang Tian's eyes widened.

"And the alignment of the pillow must be precise," Su Ming added, walking towards his quarters. "An inch of deviation, and you wake up with a stiff neck. In the face of an ultimate power, even the sword must be put down."

"Remember, Wang Tian. A drawn sword is a tired sword. The highest state of the sword is to do nothing."

"Tell Miss Bai I am going to bed, and will not be able to join her for tea."

Wang Tian bowed. "This disciple will remember your teachings! I will inform Miss Bai!"

"Good...," Su Ming murmured.

As he entered his personal quarters and shut the door, his shoulders collapsed.

'I'm done,' he thought. 'Let's just give up...'

'He popped my ultimate move like a bubble. Why did I even create that? I thought even a Saint would take some damage against that.'

'It is what it is.' Truly, he had no choice but to accept his fate. There was no struggle. Ancestor Sky Sovereign was simply too strong.

'I'm going to sleep for three days now.'

He threw himself face-first onto the bed and pulled the quilt over his head.

Outside, Wang Tian stared at the door. The silence was absolute.

'To rest is the true Dao,' Wang Tian stood there, having just realized the profound truth. 'Master is truly mysterious and profound.'

Determined, Wang Tian raised his Broken Star Sword and began swinging it once more, his strikes cutting through the orange glow of the evening.
