Fifty thousand li to the northwest, within the borders of the Heavenly Dawn Academy, the sky remained clear and cold.

Sect Master Jun Tianya floated motionless above the clouds, his long violet robes fluttering in the cold wind. The communication jade at his waist dimmed as he listened to the transmission from First Elder Nie in Iron Crag City. Stronghold Two was cleared. That made two demonic vessels severed in rapid succession.

A soft wind stirred from the north as an old man in azure robes stepped out of the mist, carrying a black leather scroll. His scholarly presence was deep and refined.

"Sect Master Jun," the old man said, cupping his hands in salute as he offered the scroll. "It has been many decades."

"Vice Dean Gu," Jun Tianya replied with a slight nod, taking the scroll. "I appreciate the Heavenly Dawn Academy’s investigation."

Vice Dean Gu Zhen sighed softly, looking down at the quiet basin beneath them.

"The corruption of demonic cultivators threatens the entire continent. Our Academy values neutrality, but we do not like pests infesting our borders," Gu Zhen said solemnly. "Furthermore, the traitor hiding below is a debt our Academy must settle."

Jun Tianya looked at him. "In this stronghold?"

"Indeed," Gu Zhen nodded. "Fifty years ago, an Elder Scholar named Yan Jingshu went missing in ancient ruins. We believed he was a traitor, but we never suspected that his body could have been stolen by that old demon."

Gu Zhen paused, his brow furrowing.

"When Yan Jingshu vanished, he took one of our treasured relics. The Profound Reversal Mirror."

"The Quasi-Saint mirror?" Jun Tianya asked.

"Yes," Gu Zhen warned. "The mirror reflects incoming attacks, holding the power to rebound strikes from the Saint Realm. It can also absorb destructive force and convert it into defensive energy. If you strike recklessly, it will turn the power back on you."

"I remember," Jun Tianya said, a faint glimmer of nostalgia in his eyes. "Back during the Heavenly Grand Assembly, your Academy’s Holy Scholar Shen wielded it. He was a formidable opponent indeed."

Jun Tianya glanced toward the green valley, seeing straight through the multi-layered concealment formations.

"But like before, a mirror is only as strong as the one wielding it," Jun Tianya said calmly. "I will handle it."

He stepped into the empty air. With a single thought, his overwhelming Saint pressure crashed downward.

Space warped as the immense pressure shattered layers of overlapping illusion arrays, exposing the hidden valley.

Hundreds of demonic disciples and corpse puppets stood on guard across the stone plaza below. Seeing the towering figure above, they roared and charged skyward.

Deep inside the fortress hall, a man in scholarly robes stood before the blood altar, his face twisted in terror.

Across the soul link, the sudden death of Iron Crag City’s Patriarch Fang had struck his mind like a hammer.

’Iron Crag City fell?!’ the possessed Elder Scholar thought in panic. ’How could they be so fast?!’

Looking up through the shattered roof, he saw Jun Tianya hovering amid crackling violet thunder.

Desperation took over. The possessed scholar slammed his palms against the bronze mirror floating before his chest. Blood from the altar surged into the glass.

"Profound Reversal Mirror! Reversal of Heaven and Earth!" the scholar screamed.

The mirror flared, shooting a massive crimson beam straight toward the heavens. The expanding energy tore through the rising demonic cultivators and corpse puppets, swallowing them whole as it surged toward Jun Tianya.

Jun Tianya did not blink. He reached toward the sky, gripped the empty air as if pulling down the heavens, and drove his fist downward.

Purple Firmament Divine Lightning - Thunderfall Annihilation!

A pillar of pure violet lightning tore through the sky, warping space itself.

The crimson beam collided with the lightning pillar. For an instant, the ancient runes spun madly, attempting to reverse the celestial strike. But the gap between them was insurmountable.

The violet pillar slammed into the valley floor.

A blinding flash swallowed the mountains. The sheer heat and law of divine lightning vaporized the fortress, the stone platforms, and the horde of demonic cultivators in a single breath.

When the light faded, the valley was gone. In its place remained a glassy crater hundreds of feet deep, crackling with violet sparks.

Jun Tianya floated above the crater. His divine sense swept across the basin. The altar was obliterated, and the demonic horde was erased. Yet at the center of the blast, he caught a faint ripple of spatial law.

Jun Tianya’s eyes narrowed slightly.

’A Teleportation Array?’ he thought.

He searched the surroundings with his divine sense, but found no further traces of demonic Qi.

Turning back toward the sky, Jun Tianya met Vice Dean Gu Zhen.

"The demonic stronghold is cleared," Jun Tianya said.

Gu Zhen looked down at the glassy crater in awe, bowing respectfully.

"The Heavenly Cloud Sect’s divine lightning is truly peerless."

***

Deep underground, inside the cold stone chamber of Stronghold Eight.

Chen Wuhen sat cross-legged, his fingers resting upon the Blood Moon Sabre. Beside him, Lady Tao stroked her bronze bell, a faint smile on her face.

Suddenly, a ragged spatial tear ripped open in the center of the hall.

A figure tumbled out of the void and crashed onto the stone floor.

It was Elder Scholar Yan Jingshu. His robes were tattered, his chest charred black, and blood poured from his mouth. In his trembling hands lay the bronze Profound Reversal Mirror.

The scholar coughed violently, spitting black blood.

"I... I barely escaped..." he wheezed in dread. "Jun Tianya... that monster flattened the entire valley with a single attack!"

The scholar grabbed Chen Wuhen’s robe with bloodstained fingers, his voice trembling. "Iron Crag City fell, and the stronghold in the Dawn Academy and Phoenix Sect regions are gone! If they found so many of us so quickly, then they must have found some hole in the Nine Shadows Concealment Technique! What if all our stronghold locations are exposed? We have to flee right now!"

Chen Wuhen stood up slowly, staring down at the bleeding vessel and the Quasi-Saint grade mirror. He flicked a healing pill into the scholar’s mouth.

He tilted his head toward the cavern ceiling, feeling the heavy tremors shaking Black Crow Ridge.

"It is too late," Chen Wuhen said coldly, drawing the Blood Moon Sabre from its sheath. "They are already here."

"Release the Yin Corpse Mist and the Corpse Puppets," Chen Wuhen ordered the surrounding demonic cultivators.

He turned his gaze toward Lady Tao. "Get ready."

"None of them will leave this mountain alive."
