As the daughter of a Vampire Duke in the Fantasy World, Huang Quan was far from unaware of beings like Metal Golems.

But she had never seen a Metal Golem like Steward Wangcai before, one with intelligence capable of normal conversation and acting remarkably human.

The Young Master truly lives up to being the inheritor of Deity bloodline, Huang Quan thought as she gazed at Wangcai. He actually has a Metal Golem steward like this. Not even high-level Alchemists could necessarily create such a Metal Golem.

Wangcai repositioned his head properly and smiled at Huang Quan. “See? Now you can relax. You should know I’m not a real man, so there’s no need to avoid me anymore.”

Once she knew Wangcai wasn’t a man, but just a Metal Golem, her way of looking at him genuinely changed.

“Yes, Lord Butler. I’ll remember that from now on.”

“Alright, go and rest too,” Wangcai said. “Remember what I told you today? Observe the Young Master’s preferences closely in the future. That way, you might still get a chance to win his affection.”

Huang Quan nodded and slowly walked past the corner.

Watching Huang Quan’s figure disappear, Wangcai turned his gaze towards the door to Lei Yaotian’s room.

Wangcai lifted his hand with exaggerated frustration, pretending to massage his temples.

He didn’t actually feel anything, of course. He had just observed that humans often made this gesture when troubled, so he memorized it and was mimicking it now.

Lei Yaotian, naturally, had no idea what Wangcai was thinking. He didn’t know Wangcai had secretly created seventy-eight Maids behind his back, nor that he had become the subject of the girls’ frequent fantasies.

By now, Lei Yaotian had already drifted into sleep.

Wangcai stood outside Lei Yaotian’s bedroom door and entered a silent, standby mode.

Huang Quan also returned to her own bedroom. She leaned against the edge of her bed, gazing up at the boundless Starry Sky, lost in her own thoughts.

Outside, the Artificial Human Soldiers patrolled the Manor grounds, fully armed.

Cicadas chirped sporadically from the grass within the Manor’s gardens. A few small fireflies danced among the flowers. Deep night settled in…

“Holy Music! I’ve lived this long and never heard such a beautiful song!”

“HAHAHA! This guy ‘Genius Harmony’ totally killed me! What a hilarious username! It’s so full of meaning!”

“Yeah! Yeah! I love that name! It’s absolutely perfect! He’s probably one of us cool heads!”

“The author is definitely not young anymore. Otherwise, he couldn’t have written lyrics like this.”

While Lei Yaotian was fast asleep, discussions about his video exploded across the Divine Glory Empire’s networks.

The style of the song was completely unlike anything current, effectively creating a whole new genre of music.

For the people of Divine Glory, used to melancholic tunes and songs that sounded like chants, this felt like a breath of fresh air.

So this was how songs could be? So many kinds of instrumental music? Someone could be this funny? A username could be chosen like this?

Lei Yaotian’s disdainful attitude towards these sheltered commoners had sparked a viral buzz online while he slept.

Because he had uploaded it so recently, the audience wasn’t enormous yet, but it was steadily growing.

Lei Yaotian’s ridiculous username and his obnoxious, flamboyant signature had already become popular targets for commentary by Divine Glory’s netizens.

“Bro! Bro! You’re my idol! I worship you! From now on, you’re the only one I follow!”

“Don’t go falling for Bro, Bro’s just a legend… Dude, how vain and shameless are you to say something so smooth? But I love it! I seriously think I just fell for you!”

Comments like these flooded in endlessly, leaving everyone ridiculously excited.

It was a good thing Lei Yaotian didn’t know about it yet. If he did, he’d probably have even less respect for these sheltered Divine Glory commoners.

Of course, this wasn’t surprising. The Divine Glory Empire prioritized military growth above all else, a fully militarized political system.

Therefore, except for some entertainment options for the elite, the general populace lacked any real cultural amusement.

Sure, there were plenty of virtual war games to play, but they were just games.

People still craved entertainment that touched the spirit, something genuinely relaxing.

And Lei Yaotian’s appearance offered precisely that realization.

Usernames could be chosen like this. Songs could be sung like this. Music stories could be filmed like this…

Admittedly, the Divine Glory Empire’s lack of cultural sophistication meant Lei Yaotian’s disdain wasn’t unfounded.

Everyone was usually deadly serious. Even online names were chosen with stifling seriousness. It was all just hopelessly stiff!

Sure, some people tried to be outrageous and attention-seeking, but none could come up with such classic usernames, write such lyrics, or compose accompaniments and stories like his.

So Lei Yaotian’s newfound, minor viral fame was bound to happen.

More importantly, although the story in the video was pretty corny, it still managed to be genuinely moving for many viewers. Combined with the great song and the stunningly beautiful music, everything just clicked perfectly.

Naturally, people became intensely curious about the video’s creator.

What kind of person could write lyrics with such artistic feeling? What kind of person could craft such a flattering, self-absorbed signature?

And seriously? What kind of degenerate came up with such a deeply, suggestively profound username?

When someone becomes such a mystery, they unavoidably draw the public’s attention.

Most of the initial commentators and viewers were male. But as people eagerly shared and spread the video, more and more female viewers saw Lei Yaotian’s creation.

Ignoring Lei Yaotian’s username and his flamboyant signature for a moment, it was the song itself, the lyrics, and the gorgeously depicted pair of lovers in the video that caused many female viewers to instantly fall in love with it.

Compared to the male reaction to the video, the female viewers, after watching it and carefully savoring the lyrics’ meaning, became utterly obsessed. Some looped the video for hours.

In this era, finding a video and a song this captivating was a rare delight.

Women tend to be more sensitive and emotionally responsive. The impact the lyrics had on them was particularly strong.

“Ahh~ What kind of person could write lyrics like this? I absolutely love it!”

“Get a grip, dreamer! Whoever wrote lyrics this lovely is definitely a woman, just like us!”

“Gotta disagree with that view. More likely, he’s one of those suave playboys…”

Whatever the case, Lei Yaotian’s video clearly packed a much stronger punch for its female audience.

While his core program was mostly idle, Wangcai secretly logged in to check the reaction. Following his Young Master’s style, he chose a similarly silly username:

Youth With Hemorrhoids!

With that username set, Wangcai quickly skimmed through the ocean of comments. His Young Master had indeed managed to shock these sheltered folks.

Wangcai also left a comment in the video’s comment section:

“As someone who actually KNOWS the author, I’m telling you guys I idolize him! He’s MY role model! I am seriously AWED! You common folk will NEVER grasp how great he is! Bet you’re blown away, sheltered idiots!”

Naturally, Wangcai’s comment triggered a wave of backlash and argument.

But his claim that he personally knew the author only intensified everyone’s angry curiosity.

Wangcai, however, couldn’t be bothered to get into debates or mudslinging. He knew the truth.

His username, “Youth With Hemorrhoids,” did make quite a few people burst out laughing.

And partly driven by Lei Yaotian’s username, partly by Wangcai’s, people started brainstorming, changing their own names to all kinds of invented, ridiculous usernames.

They still couldn’t quite measure up to Lei Yaotian and Wangcai, of course—they just didn’t possess that unique spark.

Regardless, Lei Yaotian and Wangcai had undeniably sparked a wildly enthusiastic username revolution.

A bit after nine in the morning the next day, when the sun had climbed halfway into the sky and sunlight finally spilled into the room, Lei Yaotian finally woke up from his dreams.

Ahhhhh~

After stretching himself out, Lei Yaotian called Wangcai in.

“Young Master, what are your orders?”

Lei Yaotian rubbed his eyes and looked at Wangcai, who stood respectfully by the bed.

“Prepare some breakfast. I want fried flying beast eggs, and then a cup of sea-fish milk will do.”

Lei Yaotian wanted fried eggs and regular milk, but there wasn’t any in this world.

So, these two foods that were similar to eggs and milk had entered his diet.

Wangcai nodded. He walked out of Lei Yaotian’s room. After instructing Huang Quan, who was waiting at the door, he walked back and stood by Lei Yaotian’s bedside.

“Young Master, today would you rather go out for a walk or stay home indoors?”

Wangcai checked with Lei Yaotian to set his schedule.

Lei Yaotian thought about it and said, “I’ll go report to the Academy first. Then we’ll visit the Satellite City. Since we’ve come to the Southern Star Region, we should experience its local ways.”

Lei Yaotian really wanted to look around. After all, living in the Great Cosmic Era, he was always filled with curiosity about its cities and everything else.

“Alright, Young Master. I’ll arrange protection right away.”

Since Lei Yaotian wanted to explore, Wangcai didn’t object. But arranging protection was something he absolutely needed to do first.

“What about you, Wangcai? Won’t you go to school?” Lei Yaotian asked.

“I’ll head back after making arrangements. Missing one class isn’t a problem.”

Lei Yaotian gave a nod and said nothing more.

Wangcai quickly assembled the Artificial Human guards. He chose forty-eight of them, got them ready, and told them they would later go with Lei Yaotian to see the Satellite City.

He also told them that, if he wasn’t around, their highest Commander would be Huang Quan, Lei Yaotian’s personal Maid.

Once everything was settled, Wangcai returned to Lei Yaotian to report. Then he took a few Artificial Humans and left for the Academy.

Lei Yaotian’s Manor now had six hundred Artificial Humans as guards. More could be added if needed.

After all, Lei Yaotian’s massive Space Carrier was parked at a Port orbiting the Twin Stars, carrying millions of standby Artificial Humans.

If it weren’t for fears of causing misunderstandings, Wangcai might even have brought a whole army’s worth of guards.

But six hundred fully equipped Artificial Humans were enough for guarding and patrolling the Manor.

After Wangcai departed, Huang Quan, having gotten his instructions, learned about Lei Yaotian’s schedule for the day.

Knock knock knock!

“Come in!” Lei Yaotian called out, having already put his clothes on and just opened the french window to his bedroom.

Huang Quan entered, carrying a metal tray with Lei Yaotian’s breakfast, moving quietly towards him.

“Young Master~, your breakfast is served,” Huang Quan softly said, setting the tray on the desk before stepping aside silently.

“Aren’t you eating any breakfast? This really isn’t bad.” Lei Yaotian picked up the cup of milk and waved it slightly towards Huang Quan.

Huang Quan smiled lightly in reply. “Young Master, have you forgotten? I am of the blood-sucking clan. I gave up on eating ordinary food long ago.”

Oh!

Lei Yaotian suddenly remembered that the girl beside him really didn’t eat breakfast.

He felt a bit awkward. As her Master, had forgetting his own Maid’s race failed to live up?

It was like Huang Quan could see Lei Yaotian’s discomfort. She walked over to him, picked up the bread, slipped a fried flying beast egg inside, smeared on some condensed milk and cream, and added some crunchy green leaves.

“Young Master, just remember that I no longer need to eat human food. That’s enough—don’t overthink it,” Huang Quan said gently.

Heh heh!

Lei Yaotian grinned stupidly and accepted the sandwich from her.

“But don’t you need to drink blood? If I’m not wrong, people of your race feed on blood?”

Huang Quan nodded. “True, we do need blood to survive and sustain our lives. But Lord Butler has solved that issue. He already set up a special blood bank for me. It holds abundant fresh blood containing rich energy—much more nourishing than any blood I’ve had in the past.”

She answered Lei Yaotian’s question with another quiet smile.

“Wangcai built a blood bank? Why didn’t I know?” Lei Yaotian was puzzled. But then he thought: such trivial things truly didn’t require his notice. Managing everything personally would only wear him out.

Thinking this over, Lei Yaotian took a bite of his sandwich and focused on enjoying his breakfast.

Huang Quan stayed close by his side, passing him whatever he needed from time to time.

In just a little while, Lei Yaotian had finished his meal.

“Huang Quan, go get things ready. I’m off to bathe and change. After that, we head to the Academy.”
