Hearing what Wang Haoran said, Tantai Yaoyue felt both embarrassed and annoyed at the same time. That bedsheet with the fallen plum blossoms was still carefully kept by her to this day, solid proof that could not simply be denied, so how could it not count?

Still, her skin was not thick enough to seriously argue with him over something like that, and perhaps because she already experienced it once, she did not feel much resistance toward it anymore, but instead felt a faint sense of anticipation.

That thought, however, was far too shameful to ever say out loud.

“What you said isn’t impossible,” Tantai Yaoyue replied with a mix of reserve and pride in her tone. “It just depends on whether you’re capable enough.”

“Capable of what?” Wang Haoran asked, his thoughts briefly drifting in the wrong direction before he realized she was not talking about that.

“Make me fall for you,” Tantai Yaoyue said plainly.

Only then did Wang Haoran understand. She wanted him to flirt with her until she could not help herself, and once she was moved, he could do whatever he pleased. It was a clever idea, and a bold one at that, though it was clearly throwing a difficult challenge his way. Still, it was also an interesting challenge.

“Then just wait and see,” Wang Haoran replied.

“Alright,” Tantai Yaoyue said lightly, with a hint of provocation in her voice. “I’m just afraid you won’t be able to make it happen.”

After ending the call with Tantai Yaoyue, Wang Haoran considered several approaches but could not come up with anything suitable for the moment. It was already five in the afternoon, and he still had a dinner date later, so he temporarily set the matter aside and took out his phone to send Mu Nanzhi a message.

“What kind of food do you like? Any preferences?”

“I can’t handle food that’s too spicy, but I’m fine with everything else,” Mu Nanzhi replied instantly, as if she was holding her phone and waiting the whole time.

Seeing the reply, Wang Haoran immediately searched for restaurants and chose a luxurious one located far from the Jinhao Hotel. He called ahead and reserved a table, then sent the restaurant name and address to Mu Nanzhi.

The food at the Jinhao Hotel was actually quite good, but Qin Fan might show up there at any time, and Wang Haoran wanted to avoid him, which was why he chose somewhere else.

After seeing the location Wang Haoran sent, Mu Nanzhi quickly replied, “Yijiangnan Restaurant, right, okay, see you later.”

“Do you want me to pick you up?” Wang Haoran asked politely, though as he sent the message, he silently hoped she would refuse.

It was dinner time, and if he went to pick her up, there was a chance Qin Fan would see them, and there was also a chance they might run into Song Zhihui, who was staying at the Jinhao Hotel.

“No need, I’ll come over myself,” Mu Nanzhi replied. Since they had only just met, she did not want to trouble him.

“Alright then, see you later,” Wang Haoran replied happily, thinking to himself whether this smooth and comfortable feeling when interacting with Mu Nanzhi was the effect of the Fortuitous Encounter card.

At the same time, Qin Fan just ended his call with Wang Haoran. He scrolled through short videos on his phone and noticed that videos of his skills were still easy to come across. Compared to before, the popularity dropped somewhat, but the speed at which it was fading was far too slow.

How long would it take before things finally die down?

Feeling anxious, Qin Fan called Ma Hongsheng.

“Little Ma, what’s going on?” Qin Fan said with a slightly impatient tone. “Why hasn’t the issue with my videos been suppressed yet?”

Ma Hongsheng built his career through the internet and held shares in several major media companies, so handling something like this should not have been difficult. Yet the videos were still circulating widely, and Qin Fan could not help suspecting that his disciple did not handle things properly.

Ma Hongsheng disliked Qin Fan’s tone, but he held back his irritation and pretended to be surprised. “My company’s been dealing with a crisis lately, so most of my attention has been there. I already told people to handle what you asked for. Is it really not settled yet?”

“The popularity dropped a bit, but it’s still far from gone,” Qin Fan said grimly.

“I’ve been too busy and haven’t kept track of it,” Ma Hongsheng replied. “It must be the people I assigned not doing a good job. Don’t worry, Master, I’ll arrange someone else to handle it.”

“Are you at the Ma family villa?” Qin Fan asked. “I’ll come over to talk in person, and I can also help you clear out some remaining poison.”

Hearing this, Ma Hongsheng felt a surge of anger. He interpreted Qin Fan’s words as an excuse to come see Cheng Rui, or more accurately, to toy with her. How could he not be furious. He knew Qin Fan’s abilities well, and if Qin Fan really came over, the weight on his head would only grow heavier.

“I’m not at the Ma family villa, I’m out,” Ma Hongsheng said. He wanted treatment, but he absolutely did not want Cheng Rui to be touched, so this was the only answer he could give.

“Then tell me where’s convenient, let’s meet and talk face to face,” Qin Fan said.

Ma Hongsheng glanced at the clock in the living room and saw that it was almost dinner time. “Let’s go to Yijiangnan Restaurant. We can eat and talk at the same time.”

“Sure,” Qin Fan agreed. “I don’t know where that is. Send me the location.”

After ending the call, Qin Fan quickly received the location and immediately had his driver take him there.

Not long after, they arrived at the entrance of a luxurious restaurant. Qin Fan got out of the business car and walked toward the door, only to spot a familiar figure.

“Haoran, you’re eating here too,” Qin Fan said warmly as he walked up.

To hell with this. This place was so far from the Jinhao Hotel; how did you end up here too? Wang Haoran was deeply annoyed inside, but his face showed a pleasantly surprised expression. “Yeah, what a coincidence.”

“Oh right,” Qin Fan said as if he just remembered something. “You’re having dinner with that girl you ran into today, right?”

“Yeah,” Wang Haoran nodded. He already told Qin Fan earlier, so there was no point denying it now.

“I’m meeting my disciple Ma here,” Qin Fan said eagerly. “Once we finish talking, I’ll come over and find you.”

Why don’t you just say you want to see what the woman I’m dating looks like? Wang Haoran immediately saw through Qin Fan’s intentions and cursed him inwardly. He did not reply; instead, he was considering whether he should switch locations with Mu Nanzhi.

After thinking about it, he felt a bit unwilling.

Since Qin Fan was so curious, why not give him a surprise?

Mu Nanzhi was one of the female leads, and Qin Fan would definitely have ideas about her, even if those feelings were not as intense as what he had for Tantai Yaoyue. If Qin Fan found out that the woman Wang Haoran was having dinner with was Mu Nanzhi, what kind of expression would he make.

It would surely be a spectacular one.

After all, Qin Fan believed that this bit of romance Wang Haoran stumbled into was the result of his own guidance. What would he feel like if that guidance ended up helping Wang Haoran date a woman he himself desired?

The thought alone made it worth looking forward to.
