Two hours later, the group’s decision to quietly pass by Crystaline, which had only taken a few minutes, had turned into a stop at the central palace of the city.

From the moment it became clear that the man in front of them was one of Lian’s brothers, Rindo could no longer see him as just an unknown Human, and besides, that Vorhelm himself no longer let them leave.

They learned that his name was Darian, and that he was one of the seven children of the Vorhelm Patriarch.

On the way into the city, something else had caught their attention.

Wherever Darian passed, the natives moved aside, their heads lowered, their eyes on the ground, and some of them did not even dare to breathe normally until he had passed.

Of course, they also saw some Awakened, but instead of fear, they showed them respect.

"What did you do to them that they are this afraid of you?" Rindo finally could not stop himself from asking.

Of course, this also made him curious about whether Siran’s hatred and the hatred of the other Glass skins could be related to this same fear.

"They attacked us first, so we took their city, and now I am their king." Darian answered very naturally.

For a few seconds, Rindo was not sure whether he was joking or not, but there was no sign of a joke on his face.

"Is this whole family not normal?" Liana muttered.

No one answered, but it was not a bad question, taking control of an entire intelligent race in a foreign world was not a small thing.

And apart from not being a small thing, it was crazy, how had he even managed to do something like this?

The Crystaline Palace was also made of huge crystals, just like the city itself, the walls were semi-transparent, and light flowed inside them.

Even the floor of the main hall changed its color depending on the angle from which it was viewed.

When everyone sat down, Darian finally gave them a short explanation about the situation in the forest.

"When we entered this area, around seventy or eighty Awakened were scattered throughout Glassthorn."

"Did all of them survive?" Rindo listened more seriously, from his conversation with Tavern, he had learned that the Cindari had captured dozens of Humans around their cities.

And if he counted them, then the Awakened inside Vhalaris, and then these seventy or eighty people, the total number of Awakened should add up correctly.

"No, many died before reaching the city, some were killed by the natives, some by monsters, and of course, there are definitely some we never found."

"After I organized them, we decided to find a place that could tell us more about this world, but the people here attacked us, and we took the city, we have been here for a while, and yesterday some of them suddenly started going crazy."

"At first, we thought it was some kind of mental illness, people became angry for no reason, they started suspecting each other, then they started attacking." His eyes moved toward the crystal windows for a moment.

"We called them the Forsaken."

"Only the Awakened? Or did the Glass skins also suffer from it?" Rindo asked.

"The natives were affected too, then the monsters, weaker people went crazy faster, for now, most of the high-level people are still healthy." Darian added.

Rindo’s face became darker, his and Seris’s analysis was being confirmed again, the lower the level, the faster the corruption affected them.

"Now tell me where my brother is." Then, after giving them some time to understand this information, he moved to the main subject.

A short silence appeared, Rindo looked at Seris, and Seris only stared back, showing no sign of whether she wanted him to tell everything or not.

Rindo made the decision himself, he knew nothing about the relationship between Lian and Darian.

He did not know what was happening inside the Vorhelm family, he did not know whether this brother might be Lian’s ally or his rival, so he did not tell him the whole truth.

Then he gave a short summary, but the summary had many parts censored and hid many things.

But at least it gave him information about the Calamity, Lian’s current condition, the Main Quest, the Titan, and the corruption.

Darian’s gaze became deeper, it was not clear what he was thinking, whether he was surprised by the information or not.

"We are currently going to the Giant Graveyard, we think the Calamity’s next target is there." Rindo paused for a moment.

Darian looked away for a moment and opened his own Main Quest panel.

[Main Quest: Prevent the complete awakening of the Corrupted Titan.]

"So this is what this Main Quest was for." He stared at it for a few seconds and then added.

"So you don’t know exactly where Lian is right now?"

"We don’t know, that’s why we are going to the graveyard, maybe we can find him there." Rindo said.

At least this part was not a lie, they really did not know Lian’s exact location, and they really did not know whether they would find him in the graveyard.

"I am coming too." Darian stayed silent for a few seconds and then said very simply.

"No." Seris answered immediately.

Everyone looked at her.

"No?"

"I don’t trust you." Seris looked straight at him.

"I don’t trust you either, Miss Pendragon, but apparently you are one of the last people who saw my brother, and this is about my brother, so we will have to tolerate each other for a while." Darian stared at her for a moment and then a very small smile returned to his face.

Seris did not like his answer, but she said nothing, though she really preferred that another Vorhelm did not come with them, Lian was an exception, but the other Vorhelms could not be trusted.

"It will take me half an hour to get ready, rest for a while during that time." Darian stood up and then left the hall.

As soon as the door closed, a short silence appeared.

Seris kept her gaze on the door, the Vorhelm family had seven known children for the Patriarch.

Two of them officially had five-star classes, Diana Vorhelm, and the eldest son of the family.

Diana had only recently awakened, and a large ceremony had even been held for her awakening.

The eldest son had also been known for a long time as one of the family’s main talents, but he was not ambitious and had shown no interest in becoming the successor or competing for the inheritance.

But there were also two other children among these seven whose story was different, they had been sent outside the country for years.

Each of them was in a different country for training and gaining experience, or on missions that no one knew much about.

Their identities were not secret, but almost all important information about them was.

Class.

Talent.

Level.

Ability.

Activities.

All of them were either hidden or intentionally not made public.

These were all the pieces of information Aurelia Pendragon had once told Seris.

(To avoid confusion, there are two Aurelias, one who is Seris’s family member, and the other is a native of this world.)

The Pendragons had always guessed that the two of them were probably four-star, the reason was simple.

Having four five-stars in one generation was almost ridiculous.

The Vorhelms already had two known five-stars.

Then there was Lian, an anomaly that no one still fully understood, and every day he became more confusing and unknown.

If those two hidden children were also five-stars, then it would no longer be called luck, it would prove that the Vorhelms were a family favored by the gods.

No matter how lucky, powerful, or great a family is, there has never been a case where four Awakened with five-star classes appeared in the same generation.

It had never happened in history, and even now, the Vorhelms were already extremely lucky to have two geniuses with five-star classes, along with Lian.

Even the Pendragons and the other major powers of the world never thought that the reason all the information about those two children was hidden was because of their classes.

Instead, they probably thought it was some kind of mission, at least according to their guess.

’Then he must be one of those two.’ Seris came to this conclusion after thinking about Adrian.
