Chapter 487 -487-Entering the Forbidden LandChapter 487: Chapter487-Entering the Forbidden Land
The Law of Causality, the Law of Destruction, the Law of Fate, elemental laws, and numerous other Great Dao powers intertwined to form Oracle Shamir’s protective barrier.
Shamir entered the chaotic law currents first, and Daniel followed closely behind.
Violent waves struck the shield from every direction. Each impact possessed enough power to tear apart an ordinary Oracle-grade treasure, yet the barrier woven by Shamir remained stable.
The two advanced without suffering any meaningful obstruction and eventually reached the entrance of the forbidden land.
Daniel focused his gaze.
"What is that?"
He extended his Divine Sense, but the power of the forbidden land greatly restricted its range. Even so, he managed to perceive the rough outline of the entrance.
It resembled the enormous open mouth of a primordial beast.
Daniel looked surprised.
"How could the entrance possess such a form?"
Shamir did not enter immediately. Instead, the Oracle patiently explained the origin of the region.
"The Sacred Origin Forbidden Land evolved from the remains of a T8 Oracle-grade expert. This location was already a peak-grade innate spiritual land. After an immeasurably long period of nurturing, the corpse, the terrain, and the surrounding laws merged into this unique forbidden region."
Shamir shattered an approaching law current and continued.
"The entrance contains many evolving law manifestations. The beast mouth before us is only one of the forms created by those transformations."
"The Sacred Origin Forbidden Land covers an enormous area, extending across billions of kilometers. Its most valuable locations are the inheritance grounds. According to legend, the complete inheritance of the fallen T8 Oracle-grade expert remains hidden somewhere inside."
Daniel listened carefully.
"The next most valuable locations are the treasuries. There are many of them, and their positions are not fixed. Some move continuously as the internal terrain changes."
"Certain treasuries are protected by profound restrictions and are almost impossible to open. Others possess no barrier at all. Their treasures may drift freely through the surrounding region or even fly out of the treasury by themselves."
Shamir’s expression became serious.
"The most valuable treasury mentioned in the ancient records has never been located with certainty."
"An inheritance and countless treasuries," Daniel thought. "This truly is an exceptional land of opportunity."
Shamir added another warning.
"The forbidden land also contains formations and restrictions arranged by the T8 Oracle-grade expert before death. Those artificial formations overlap with naturally generated law arrays. More importantly, the entire geography of the forbidden land is periodically reconstructed. Mountains, valleys, ruins, and treasure vaults can all change position."
"The scenery I saw during my last visit was completely different from what stands before us now."
Daniel could not help expressing his admiration.
"A forbidden land that rebuilds itself? The Endless Starfield truly contains wonders beyond imagination."
At that moment, several powerful figures forced their way through the outer law turbulence. They did not spare Daniel or Shamir a glance and rushed directly into the depths of the forbidden land.
Shamir looked at them briefly and then turned back to Daniel.
"Remember one more thing. No law or official order exists inside this forbidden land. There are no rules capable of restraining the people who enter. Be careful of other cultivators."
Daniel nodded.
"Without rules, everything is decided by Strength."
"Exactly," Shamir replied. "Even if you obtain a great treasure, another high-stage Oracle may ambush you on the way out. Battles and robberies occur constantly."
The lack of order had become part of the forbidden land’s cycle.
Countless powerful experts died within it. Their bodies, Divine Souls, treasures, and law foundations were absorbed by the land and became nourishment. New treasures, laws, and formations were born from those remains.
Everyone capable of entering possessed an extremely strong foundation. Most were Oracle-grade experts or exceptional geniuses whose bodies contained energy comparable to complete life worlds. To the forbidden land, each death was valuable fuel.
"Let us enter," Shamir said.
The two flew through the beast-shaped entrance.
Most visitors were Oracle-grade experts below T8. Divine-grade cultivators barely possessed the qualifications to enter and gamble upon an opportunity.
Inside, Daniel discovered an entirely different world.
He flew into the air and immediately extended his Divine Sense, yet he could not detect the boundary of the region.
The forbidden land was every bit as vast as Shamir had described.
"The Endless Starfield is truly infinite," Daniel thought. "My Divine Sense can cover a large life world with ease, even one twice the ordinary size, yet it cannot explore this entire forbidden land."
He compared life worlds to ponds scattered across a limitless ocean. Large worlds were merely larger ponds. The boundless starry region beyond them was the true sea.
Ordinary lives resembled tiny creatures floating within that ocean. Powerful Oracle-grade experts were like sharks in the deep, while weaker beings were little more than plankton.
As Daniel considered the scale of existence, a faint sensation touched his mind.
His eyes narrowed.
"Did the Treasure Seeking Ability activate?"
The perception became clearer almost immediately.
Numerous ownerless treasures appeared within his awareness. They were scattered across multiple regions, and their number was astonishing.
Daniel had only recently obtained the talent and had not yet fully adapted to it. Now he understood how extraordinary it truly was.
Ordinary Divine Sense could detect living beings, spatial disturbances, and fluctuations of law. It could not directly identify every hidden artifact. The Treasure Seeking Ability, however, allowed Daniel to sense treasures that even his Divine Sense could not discover.
He turned toward Shamir.
"Senior Shamir, I have sensed the fluctuations of several treasures nearby. They may have some connection with me. I would like to investigate alone."
Shamir looked at Daniel in surprise.
They had only just entered, yet he had already located an opportunity. Daniel’s foundations were indeed astonishing. It was almost as though he carried a supreme treasure detector within his body.
Shamir attempted to observe Daniel’s causal lines, but they resembled a fog that could not be organized or traced.
"He truly is an unusual person," Shamir thought. "Remaining near him may allow me to benefit from some of his extraordinary fortune."
Shamir did not attempt to stop him. Experts who entered the forbidden land understood that opportunities could not always be shared, and forcing oneself into another cultivator’s discovery often created unnecessary hostility. The Oracle merely gave Daniel a final warning through Divine Sense and then chose a different direction.
Daniel watched Shamir depart before turning toward the strongest treasure signal. It pulsed intermittently, sometimes clear and sometimes hidden beneath the changing laws of the forbidden land. The uncertainty only increased his interest. A treasure capable of concealing itself from ordinary Divine Sense while still triggering the Racial Talent was unlikely to be common. With the Divine Spear ready beside him and Absolute Spacetime prepared for activation, Daniel began his first independent exploration of the Sacred Origin Forbidden Land.
