I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 208: The Sixth Phase

Hazel, Wren, and the elder from the Demon Slayer clan were also hiding behind a large boulder on a mountaintop, observing everyone who had arrived after them. The moment the car stopped and the muscular man stepped out, the elder’s eyes narrowed slightly. "What a pain. Sylus is also here."

"Sylus?" Wren was taken aback slightly. "You mean Sylus Moure, the strongest Disaster Class hunter of the world? He’s also after the pill!" He exclaimed.

The elder slightly nodded.

Wren felt his heart bubble with ecstasy. ’I can’t wait to see what happens when that arrogant brat emerges from the volcano, if he’s alive, that is.’

Right after that, a group of three people arrived. A young woman was leading, while two males followed her like obedient servants. The young woman looked elegant, her tight combat attire outlining every curve properly. Her eyes held an aloof beauty, but her facial expression exuded arrogance.

"Senior sister, this is the place." One of the males said.

The young woman stopped before a particular mountain and looked up. "Looks like we weren’t late, or else it would have already been a battlefield. Let’s go up." She said before walking up the mountain trail. She was two hundred metres behind Sylus Moure.

"That’s Sylus Moure, senior sister." The male walking right behind the young girl said.

"Yeah, I know. So he’s also after the pill. But it doesn’t matter. Since I am here, the pill can already be considered mine. Who can stop me? So what if he’s a Disaster Class hunter? Will he dare to go against me? Go against the Purple Hermit clan? He may be strong, but not the strongest." The girl said confidently while climbing the mountain.

Sylus, who was walking on the steep inclined path, could hear what the young girl just said. His veins bulged slightly, but no aura leaked out. It was as though he had more pressing matters to handle.

The more time passed, the more the mountain region got crowded, yet none were in the open except a few. A few like Sylus Moure and the young girl from just now.

Meanwhile, Leon focused entirely on sensing the astral energy from the astral river. But while understanding the difference between astral energy and spiritual energy was quite easy, sensing astral energy was a totally different thing.

Only if Leon knew... What he was attempting, it would take centuries of cultivation or training for others before they even dared to try it. Many would die even after being talented without even sensing the astral energy, much less forming an Avatar.

Seconds passed.

Then minutes.

Leon sat on the ground with his eyes closed, legs crossed. He didn’t move, he didn’t twitch. He desperately continued to try. Because, now...

Leon genuinely wanted to grow stronger. Not because he wanted to savor the moment of being strong, but because he didn’t want to feel helpless.

Hours passed, yet Leon still sat on the ground. Finally, once the deadline for the rest time was over, the demon walked over to Leon.

"Master. It’s time." The crimson figure said.

Leon slowly opened his eyes. "Alright." He then slowly stood up and grabbed the Demon Sword.

As the demon moved in the distance, several figures emerged from the ground. There were total ten of them.

"You can’t swing your sword in this phase, master, as you already know what this phase is for. It’s to test your comprehension of Sixth Form of Sword Art Breathing."

Leon nodded and didn’t raise the sword. He only held it tightly as the tip faced the earth.

"Graaahhhhh." One of the ten figures was a wolf with human-like limbs. Saliva dripped from the fangs as the wolf took the first initiative.

Whoooosh!

It was fast. Very fast. In just a blink of an eye, the wolf appeared before Leon, brandishing its claws. The sharp and crude edges of the claws cut through the air dangerously.

Yet...

Leon still didn’t make his move. But just as the claws were about to rake their marks on Leon’s skin...

"Sixth Form. Sword Song." Leon whispered.

Zzzzzzzz!

Something moved in the air. It couldn’t be seen and felt more like a ripple in the air.

But the next moment...

"Aggggghhhhhhhh." The wolf howled in pain as it found that all the claws on its right arm were gone. They weren’t just injured. They were gone.

The next moment...

Schlk!

Schlk!

Schlk!

The wolf’s both arms were sliced apart. Then the legs. And finally the head as it rolled down.

The other nine monsters who were also planning to attack froze at the moment. They couldn’t understand what just happened. They saw the wolf beast charging toward Leon. The target hadn’t moved. Not even an inch. But suddenly... The monster was sliced apart into pieces.

A few exchanged uneasy glances. Some turned to flee, but the very next moment, something whistled in the air again. Something invisible yet purely destructive.

The two monsters who had tried to escape were slain in seconds.

A shark monster directly rushed toward Leon. If it couldn’t leave, then it at least wanted to take Leon down.

Zzzzzz!

Zzzzzzzz!

Zzzzzzzz!

But the shark monster’s body was mercilessly cleaved into pieces. The remaining monsters didn’t dare to attack Leon or flee. They stood rooted to their spot.

But how would Leon have time for this when he had to sense the astral energy yet?

Leon moved, leaving behind a blur. He appeared just before the remaining monsters.

He still didn’t move the sword. But the moment he appeared, the destructive energy hummed in the air as all their bodies were sliced.

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

Leon didn’t even wait for a reply or announcement that he had passed this phase. He turned and walked toward a clear location. Then... He sat down into a cross-legged position again.

From a distance, the demon’s lips curved into a smile. "It’s so good to see you again like this, master." He whispered in a low voice. "This time... We can finally avenge the closest ones you lost."
