I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 281: Delusional And Weird

Those two God Accession realm cultivators froze in their spot, their hearts pounding so fast that Logan could clearly hear it from behind. Sweat trickled down their foreheads. They suddenly felt like a hollow was growing inside them. The ground they were standing on was collapsing, and they would fall any moment now.

"Who... Who are you?" The one with the sword whispered. His voice came so low that even he couldn’t hear it properly.

But Logan did. "Someone you shouldn’t have messed with."

"If you kill us, this whole Empire will be destroyed. People backing us won’t take even a day to come here. A demon like you will have no chance but to die pathetically. But if you just give us that sword, we can let all of it slide." The other one’s legs were trembling, but he still tried to intimidate Logan with his background. People from Ninth Heaven were no joke. Everyone living in that Heaven was a fighter. So he didn’t believe that Logan wouldn’t be affected by his background.

Logan said nothing. But the next moment...

"Aaaahhhhhhhhhhh." Both of them screamed in agony as Logan’s grip tightened around their shoulders. Without warning, Logan picked both of them up before hurling them into the distance.

Next, Logan raised his hand.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Lightning danced along his arm as a sphere of white-blue energy materialized before him. The sphere wasn’t too big, but not too small either. The energy that was radiating from it was on a whole different level, though.

"That barrier..." Logan spoke. "You shouldn’t have placed it. That way, you would still have a few days left to survive." Right after that, the lightning sphere shot forward.

In midair, it was split into two spheres of lightning, each one shooting toward one God Accession realm cultivator.

Booooooooom!

Booooooooooom!

The deafening sounds rocked the whole area. Thunder roared in the sky as both their bodies were blasted into nothingness. Only sparks of lightning flashed above them.

Veneric, who had fallen in the distance after the last attack, had stood up by now. The last blow had almost crippled him. A casual blow, yet it was so devastating that he felt several of his internal organs had ruptured. But what he saw just now was more dangerous and unbelievable.

Logan just killed two God Accession realm cultivators in one attack. In just one attack. He looked totally bewildered at the moment.

He immediately brought out another talisman. But before he could even use his, his heart suddenly skipped a beat. A strong gust of wind struck him, almost throwing him off balance.

Veneric slowly raised his eyes, and he immediately felt like his soul almost left his body.

"Don’t... If you ki...." He started but didn’t get the chance to complete it.

Logan’s hand shot forward, fist slamming into Veneric’s chest.

Puchi!

Like a sharp blade, his fist pierced through Veneric’s body, blood spraying. He then yanked his hand free.

Veneric staggered back, his face totally devoid of any vitality. He looked like he had already died more than ten times.

"W-who... Who are you actually? That level of power, it’s way beyond the God Accession realm."

"You still can’t realize who he is?" Yami chuckled in the distance. "Who made you the clan master? They surely might have been blind." He chuckled.

If it were any other time, Veneric would have torn the person’s tongue apart for saying such words. But at the moment, he didn’t even dare to flinch.

"Yes, he is a demon," Yami said. "But a demon whom even other demons are afraid of. A demon who can wield the Demon Sword. A demon who can take full human form. Who do you think he is?"

Veneric fell into deep thought, blood still gushing out from his chest wound uncontrollably. But he focused on finding out who Logan was. Then suddenly...

Something clicked in his mind.

"A demon..." Veneric whispered while clutching his chest. "Demon Sword... Human form... Strength way above God Accession realm..." His face paled. Every ounce of color drained from his body. "The Demon Monarch." He finished.

Yami grinned. "Took you long enough."

Veneric froze before collapsing on his back, kicking up dust. His eyes were still open, widened. Realizing Logan’s identity was more devastating for him than a direct attack. Until he died, he couldn’t believe how stupid a mistake he had made.

A deathly silence fell as Logan slowly walked toward the King. He stopped two steps away from him. "What now?"

The King opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He dropped to his knees. But no gravity magic made it happen this time. His whole body was shaking. "I... I was wrong."

"I am in no mood to forgive a pathetic person like you. But your daughter took a deadly blow for me. Consider yourself lucky. But if you dare to hurt her again, even by mistake..."

Logan knelt on one knee before the King, looking at him coldly. "Then, I will make death a luxury for you."

The King collapsed on the ground. "Take him inside," Logan said while standing up. He was no king. But everyone reacted so swiftly at his words that it was a scene to behold.

Knights rushed toward the king. They carried him inside. Others also hurried inside. The gates were slid open.

Logan finally walked toward Lilith. "Are you stupid? Why the hell did you throw yourself before me?" His voice wasn’t comforting. He sounded genuinely angry. More angry than when he was talking to the king.

"I didn’t want to let someone like you die," Lilith said, staring directly at Logan.

Noticing the tension, Mercer left with Spade. Yami went inside as well. Renata had no intention of leaving, as she was shooting daggers at Lilith through her eyes, but Lamia pulled her inside.

Only Logan and Princess Lilith remained. "Someone like me? You barely even know me. And even if you knew me, was it really worth throwing your life away for?"

"I know enough."

"Like what? I can wield multiple legendary weapons? I can defeat strong opponents? So you decided to invest your trust, thinking I might help you in the future? I already promised to help you. It was unnecessary to show you are committed to your words."

"I didn’t do it because I wanted you to help me in the future."

"What?" Logan’s eyes narrowed.

"I did it because at that time, my body moved on its own. I didn’t think about whether you could protect yourself. I just saw that a poisonous needle was closing in toward you. And..."

"And?"

"Even if I decided to invest in you, it was never because you were strong."

Logan didn’t say anything and waited for her to finish.

"I would do that because I know that only seven treasures aren’t enough to revive someone. You have to sacrifice your life to make that happen. So you are a person who is ready to die just so you can revive your loved ones."

Logan froze. Lilith continued.

"And I wanted to invest so that... maybe..." She couldn’t finish.

Logan stared at her for a few seconds before shaking his head. "You are both delusional and weird."
