I Can Reincarnate Infinitely
Chapter 189 - 185: He Is My Beloved Kith and KinWhat the Blood Slaughter Sword Spirit had meant to say was that it seemed to have sensed the aura of the Reincarnation Mirror just now.
Even if only for a fleeting moment.
However...
’Perhaps it was just an illusion.’
The auras within the Relics at that time had been far too numerous and chaotic.
It couldn’t be certain it hadn’t made a mistake.
It changed the subject. "The Spiritual Qi in this sanctuary grows thinner by the day. After unleashing that last strike, I must sleep for five hundred years to slowly recover. You and the Taihe Sect must remain calm and keep a low profile. Do not stir up trouble. If something truly dire happens, if the world descends into chaos, you may awaken me. But know this: within these five hundred years, if you need me to strike again, the blow will have at most one or two percent of the power of that last one. And it will require, at the very least, draining the entire Essence Blood of a Core Formation Cultivator, turning them into a Living Dead just clinging to life."
Shi Shentong bowed respectfully. "Yes, this junior will remember."
Even at just one or two percent of that strike’s power, it was still enough to slaughter every Core Formation Master in Momenan ten times over.
In the land of Momenan, it was invincible.
The Blood Slaughter Sword Spirit continued, "This scroll is a part of Fellow Daoist Jiang Shan’s true body. Take it and return it to him."
"This junior obeys," Shi Shentong replied.
The "Fellow Daoist Jiang Shan" the Blood Slaughter Sword Spirit spoke of was the Taihe Sect’s ultimate Treasure, the Rivers and Mountains Map—a Spiritual Treasure on the same level as the Blood Slaughter Sword itself.
The reason the Taihe Sect and the Holy Blood Sect had been able to suppress the Nine Countries of Momenan Desert for eight thousand years, maintaining their transcendent status, was not because of their number of Core Formation Masters.
Even if some accident were to wipe out all the Core Formation Masters of both sects in a single battle, or if the other seven sects produced a generation of geniuses, with a hundred new Core Formation Cultivators emerging...
It would be useless.
Hundreds of Core Formation Masters, along with dozens of Nascent Soul experts—or even those beyond—could not withstand a single strike from the Blood Slaughter Sword.
The other seven sects’ pitiful handful of Core Formation Masters... were hardly enough for the Blood Slaughter Sword to even bother cutting down.

At that moment, the terrifying aura that had frozen Du Youqian, Lin Sha, and the Thousand-Mile Shuttle vanished. The shuttle resumed its course, and the fear and alarm on Lin Sha’s face returned to their normal flow.
She glanced back at the tattered, falling corpse of the Green-haired Demon King and asked in a daze, "What did you do? What just happened? I felt a terrifying presence that seemed to freeze my very thoughts."
Du Youqian didn’t speak, merely handing her the pale green Demon Core.
Lin Sha accepted it dazedly, still unable to snap out of her stupor.
Watching the spatial rifts continue to expand and spread, Du Youqian released his Divine Sense.
The force that had been suppressing his Divine Sense was also gone, and it could once again extend over 900 zhang.
As the Thousand-Mile Shuttle sped onward, Du Youqian scanned the auras below. Whenever he encountered a Human Race Cultivator, regardless of their sect, he would casually rescue them onto the shuttle.
Suddenly, he sensed the residual aura of a Sunflower Water Yin Thunder explosion—it must have been the life-saving measure he had left for Gu Xiaofang.
He immediately steered the Thousand-Mile Shuttle in a curve. As it arced over Gu Xiaofang’s head, Du Youqian effortlessly pulled both Gu Xiaofang and a Qi Cultivation Kun Cultivator in the robes of a Taihe Sect disciple onto the shuttle.
"I knew you wouldn’t forget about me, Brother Fei! Ruozhen, this is my Brother Fei! Brother Fei, this is Yin Ruozhen from the Taihe Sect."
Du Youqian had no time for small talk and just gave them a nod.
"Fellow Daoist Yu, we can’t delay any longer," Lin Sha said urgently, glancing at the rapidly spreading spatial rifts. "This Blessed Land is about to collapse."
By now, dozens of Qi Cultivation Disciples had been rescued onto the Thousand-Mile Shuttle, along with Zeng Baoming of the Lingxiao Sword Pavilion and Cen Xiaoqin of the Destruction Sect.
There was still no trace of Li Daojia and the others.
Du Youqian had no intention of putting himself in further danger just to save more people.
After getting his bearings, he adjusted the Thousand-Mile Shuttle and flew toward the entrance of the Relics.
Suddenly, the aura of a Foundation Establishment Cultivator appeared up ahead. Du Youqian looked closely and saw it was Songyangzi from the Chongzhen Sect, waving at the Thousand-Mile Shuttle with a joyful expression.
There were, in fact, many things Du Youqian wanted to say to Songyangzi.
’Like, remember that time by Daming Lake... oh, slip of the tongue.’
’Back when I was fifty-two, at the Dharma Transmission Hall for the aptitude test, I was deemed Lowerest Grade and stood there like a worthless nobody.’
’I suppressed my anger then and swore that you would pay the price.’
’Not because you angered me.’
’But because you were disrespectful to Elder Tao.’
’An eternity of immortal destiny cannot compare to the thirty years that old Daoist treated me like a son.’
But none of this was suitable to be said aloud.
So, all Du Youqian could do was step on the gas...
He increased the input of Magical Power, and the Thousand-Mile Shuttle howled past.
The smile froze on Songyangzi’s face.
Zeng Baoming frowned. "Fellow Daoist Yu, why didn’t you pick up Fellow Daoist Songyangzi?"
Du Youqian’s face was impassive. "Fellow Daoist Songyangzi? Where? He is my dearest friend. I would have to rescue him even if it meant putting all of us in peril."
Zeng Baoming scratched his cheek. "Perhaps I saw wrong."
"Oh."
Lin Sha and Cen Xiaoqin both chimed in, "You must have seen wrong."
The Qi Cultivation Disciples could only remain silent.
The spatial rifts were expanding faster and faster. Du Youqian had to use the Treasure, the Boundary-Setting Pearl, to stabilize their path. Fortunately, they made it out without any real danger.
Just as the Thousand-Mile Shuttle shot out of the Blessed Land, a streak of light shot out from behind and entered Du Youqian’s body.
Startled, Du Youqian checked himself but found nothing abnormal. The streak of light seemed to have been a trick of his mind.
When the Thousand-Mile Shuttle stopped and they looked back, the empty patch of land had returned to normal. Not a single trace of the Relics could be found.
Everyone stared at the spot where the entrance had vanished, thinking of how over two hundred people had entered, but only a few dozen had come out.
Every one of them had martial brothers, martial sisters, or close friends who were now forever lost inside.
For a time, many of the Kun Cultivators began to weep softly.
A pall of gloom fell over the Thousand-Mile Shuttle.
Yin Ruozhen threw herself into Gu Xiaofang’s arms, crying her heart out, her tears soaking his Dharma Robe.
Only the few from the Heavenly Emotions and Oceanic Resentments Sect were still laughing and joking, showing no hint of sadness.
They truly lived up to their reputation as a sect of lunatics.
Du Youqian landed the Thousand-Mile Shuttle.
Now that they were out of danger, it was time for everyone to go their separate ways. He wasn’t about to waste time and energy chauffeuring these survivors back to their respective sects.
As was to be expected, all the rescued cultivators expressed their gratitude to Du Youqian.
Lin Sha’s inexplicably complex gaze made Du Youqian’s heart pound with a bit of fear.
When it was Zeng Baoming’s turn to express his thanks and bid farewell, he couldn’t help but look distressed.
Du Youqian asked him, "Your sect’s Master should be fine, right? Since he only attached his Divine Sense to a disciple, the most he would lose is a part of that Divine Sense."
Zeng Baoming sighed. "Perhaps. I just have a bad feeling. I hope things aren’t as bad as I fear."
Du Youqian asked again, "Why did your sect’s Master follow you in?"
At this point, there was nothing to hide.
Zeng Baoming replied, "Because there were rumors that the Cyan Yang Sect’s Relics contained the complete Inheritance for the Puppetry Art and Daoist Soldier Technique, from Tier One to Tier Four. The Master must have wanted to try his luck."
Du Youqian said, "Even if he found it, he wouldn’t be able to keep it."
Zeng Baoming smiled bitterly. "The Master was probably hoping for a stroke of luck."
A while later, when it was Cen Xiaoqin from the Destruction Sect’s turn, Du Youqian asked her the same question. She answered truthfully, her story matching Zeng Baoming’s.
Du Youqian guessed that the Holy Blood Sect and the Taihe Sect had joined forces to set a trap, deliberately luring the Core Formation Masters of other sects into the Relics.
As for why they would do such a thing, he couldn’t figure it out.
After the conversations were over, Du Youqian prepared to leave.
He was confident that Lin Sha would not mention his encounter with the Monkey Demon King in the Relics, or the gift of Essence Blood, to anyone else. There was no need for a special reminder.
Of the 30 Qi Cultivation Disciples from the Holy Blood Sect who had entered, only four remained, including Gu Xiaofang.
Du Youqian brought out his Flying Boat, preparing to take them back to the Sect.
As for why he wasn’t using the Thousand-Mile Shuttle... piloting that Treasure consumed too much power. He didn’t have the stamina for such a long journey.
"Fellow Daoist Yu, please wait."
Just as Du Youqian was about to board the Flying Boat, Lin Sha walked over, her bare feet moving quickly.
"Is something wrong, Fellow Daoist Lin?"
Lin Sha said with a blank expression, "I have yet to thank you for your help earlier."
Du Youqian wanted to brush it off, to say it was nothing, just a trivial matter.
But thinking of the risk Lin Sha had taken, he spoke seriously, "Fellow Daoist Lin, why take such a risk? Your path on the Dao is long and promising. There is no need to be so impatient."
Lin Sha blinked, her white hair stirring as if in a phantom wind.
’Impatient? Far from it.’
’I just want to reach Core Formation and increase my power as soon as possible.’
’If you are truly him... I must help you find a way to break the Mystery of the Womb.’
But at this moment, she couldn’t be sure of Du Youqian’s identity, so she could only remain silent.
Seeing her silence, Du Youqian felt a little awkward and said offhandedly, "What did you need that Demon Core for, Fellow Daoist Lin?"
Lin Sha replied calmly, "Naturally, to trade it for a Core Formation Spiritual Object and try to reach Core Formation sooner."
Du Youqian asked, puzzled, "With your status in the Heavenly Emotions and Oceanic Resentments Sect, shouldn’t you be supplied with a Core Formation Spiritual Object?"
Lin Sha sighed softly. "Several of my senior sisters and my Martial Uncle failed their Core Formation attempts recently, using up several Core Formation Spiritual Objects. The Sect did promise to allow me to redeem one on credit, even with insufficient contribution points. But there are no Core Formation Spiritual Objects left in the Sect right now... If I want to redeem one, I’ll probably have to wait a few years."
Hearing this, Du Youqian understood her feelings, but he still advised her, "There’s no need to take such risks. You are only a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, yet you dare to hunt a Core Formation Demon King alone? You’re truly gambling with your life."
Lin Sha said, "Thank you for your concern... and thank you for your help. I will repay you handsomely in the future."
With that, she opened her Storage Treasure Pouch, intending to take out the Demon Core.
But as she reached inside, her expression turned dazed. When she pulled her hand back out, it held only a small pile of pale green ash.
A gust of wind blew, and the ash scattered into the air.
"Was that the Demon Core?"
"It was." A flicker of confusion crossed Lin Sha’s eyes.
Du Youqian quickly opened his own Storage Treasure Pouch. Strangely enough, the pale blue Demon Core the Monkey Demon King had given him was still lying quietly inside, its luster flowing as if it had just been retrieved, with no leakage of power whatsoever.
The two of them looked at each other, completely baffled.
Du Youqian could only guess that the Wood Element Demon Core in Lin Sha’s possession had been affected by some mysterious power, making it impossible to preserve.
Meanwhile, the Monkey Demon King possessed a power of an extremely high level, which must have counteracted that mysterious force, allowing the Water Element Demon Core he had been given to remain perfectly intact.
After a moment’s thought, Du Youqian handed the pale blue Demon Core to Lin Sha. "Since you need this to trade for a Core Formation Spiritual Object, take it and use it for now."
Lin Sha looked at him with suspicion. "Fellow Daoist Yu?"
Du Youqian smiled. "This Demon Core is of the Water Element, so I have no use for it. When I reach Core Formation in the future, you can pay me back with two."
Lin Sha lowered her head, remaining silent for a long time before she finally took the Demon Core and said softly, "Aren’t you afraid, Fellow Daoist Yu..."
Du Youqian was curious. "Afraid of what?"
"Never mind. It’s nothing." Lin Sha pursed her lips.
Without another word of thanks, she turned and walked away, her bare feet padding softly into the distance...
