I Can Replicate Martial Arts
Chapter 551 - 282: Arriving at the DestinationThe Five Immortals left Zhao Rui’s room and immediately assigned tasks. Some went to talk to the captain, while others casually strolled around the ship.
What kind of people were the Five Immortals? They were cunning old masters who had been cultivating for millennia. After a bit of investigation, they had a solid grasp of the entire ship.
There was a problem with this ship.
The problem wasn’t with the ship itself, but with its destination. The place called the Brookfan Star Realm was far from peaceful.
Although the region was remote, it was precisely because of its remoteness that the local powers were in chaos. It was a corner of the galaxy that the Bright God Clan paid little attention to, a place where planets were often at war and interstellar pirates roamed free.
’We act according to the Lord’s orders!’
The First Immortal gave a meaningful look, and everyone quickly moved to their positions. Using their superb Body Techniques, they seized control of the main compartments.
The snake-headed alien watched in astonishment as the Third Immortal barged into his cabin. The heavy electronic pressure door had been kicked off its hinges, flying past and nearly crushing him into a paste.
"B-Big brother! Let’s talk this out! Did I do something wrong? Was my service not up to par?"
"No."
"Then... what is it? What do you need? Just say the word, and I guarantee I’ll arrange it for you."
The Third Immortal shook his head. "We’re hijacking the ship."
Hearing this, the snake-headed alien’s yellow pupils widened in disbelief. "But why? This is just a beat-up old ship."
"Because you talk too much."
The Third Immortal knocked him unconscious with a single palm strike and dragged him out of the cabin.
Meanwhile, the other passengers were rounded up and thrown into the ship’s main hall.
"Who are you people? Aren’t you afraid of retribution from the Bright God Clan?"
The passengers shouted angrily.
"The Bright God Clan? Are you talking about me?"
Zhao Rui strode out from a passageway. With every step, the sacred aura around him grew stronger. By the time he reached the main hall, his entire body was wreathed in exceptionally pure Bright Divine Power.
"Th-this... Greetings, Divine Envoy!"
"Greetings, Divine Envoy!"
The snake-headed alien was the first to drop to his knees, kowtowing repeatedly.
Seeing this, the others grew even more terrified. They hardly dared to breathe, prostrating themselves on the floor and trembling.
"This ship is being commandeered. You will be given an escape pod. Leave on your own."
Zhao Rui said casually.
"Yes, yes! Please, my lord, use it as you wish."
The snake-headed alien scrambled to his feet. With a fawning look in his eyes, he proactively guided the other passengers toward the escape pod.
The Third Immortal stood by, supervising them.
Once everyone was aboard the escape pod, the alien’s bizarre snake-head split open into a wide mouth. "If I’d known it was you, my lord, who needed the ship," he hissed, "I wouldn’t have taken on any other passengers."
"This has nothing to do with you. Now scram. If you leak a single word about the Lord, you’ll have us to answer to."
"I understand, I understand."
The snake-headed alien shook his head and ducked into the escape pod’s cockpit. He ignited the plasma energy core, and with a brilliant flash of two light beams, the pod shot away from the ship.
Once the escape pod was gone, Zhao Rui ordered his followers to start the ship, engage the FTL drive, and leave the area.
The starry sky stretched on, endless.
Outside the ship, streaks of light flashed past against the backdrop of the vast, boundless void.
Zhao Rui sat cross-legged in a lounge, meditating and cultivating his Energy.
Time seemed to stand still, and he lost all track of its passing.
When the ship began to decelerate, the illusion of spacetime shattered like a sheet of ice, revealing the flowing stream of reality beneath.
Zhao Rui’s eyes snapped open, and the flow of time seemed to rush back to him.
"My lord, we’ve arrived in the Brookfan region. There are three hundred sixty-two life-bearing planets and over fifteen hundred stars in this vicinity..."
The First Immortal bowed, relaying information from the ship’s database about the Brookfan Star Realm.
"Head to the nearest life-bearing planet, Manghuang..."
"Yes, my lord!"
The First Immortal turned and left the cabin. The ship accelerated toward the nearest planet, Manghuang, at one-tenth the speed of light.
In just a few moments, the ship pierced through the thick atmosphere, descending toward the surface of Manghuang like a meteor.
The creatures on the ground, startled by the sudden disturbance, scattered in all directions, raising a clamor.
The ship landed gently in a forest. The trees here were unlike those on Blue Star, bearing a closer resemblance to the flora of the Returning Ruins Secret Realm.
Each tree was impossibly tall, and together they formed a vast, sprawling primeval forest.
Strange and bizarre trees were everywhere, each with its own unique traits and methods of survival.
The trees here were not simple plants like those on Blue Star; they were more like mobile, wood-based animals.
Some of these plants had even grown limbs, allowing them to move about like animals.
Yet their bodies were unmistakably made of wood.
As the group stepped off the ship, they were hit by a suffocatingly high concentration of oxygen that began to invade their bodies.
It took them a few breaths to adapt to the startlingly different air.
"From now on, this place shall be my school. I will widely recruit students from the surrounding area to come and learn my arts!"
After speaking, Zhao Rui waved his hand. In an instant, a vast expanse of dense forest before them turned to ash and vanished, leaving an empty clearing.
All that remained was bare earth, as if nothing had ever grown there at all.
This act of Zhao Rui’s terrified the mobile plants nearby.
Like they had been fitted with motors, the plants scattered and fled in all directions.
Only the stationary, primeval plants rooted to the ground were left, their bodies quivering in fear.
Seeing this, the Five Immortals hurried to gather wood and began constructing a house in the clearing Zhao Rui had made.
What was the caliber of these five? While they might not have possessed the divine ability to turn stone into gold or create things from nothing, they could still move mountains, fill seas, and command the wind and rain.
With such power, how could building a mere house be difficult?
In just one afternoon, a respectable, purely wooden residence stood in the clearing before Zhao Rui.
Zhao Rui moved right in and nodded with satisfaction.
And so, for the period that followed, Zhao Rui settled down and made this place his home.
Though the Five Immortals didn’t know what Zhao Rui’s plan was, they obeyed his decision without question. They took on the roles of woodcutters and fishermen, working the surrounding land while also practicing the extraordinary Martial Arts that Zhao Rui had taught them.
Life was peaceful, until the day the First Immortal brought a humanoid girl before him.
"I implore you, my lord, to accept me as your disciple."
The girl prostrated on the ground, making her respectful plea.
"Very well. But first, I need to test your aptitude and bone structure."
Zhao Rui said nonchalantly.
After a moment’s hesitation, the girl nodded in agreement and obediently extended her arm.
Zhao Rui placed one hand on the crown of her head and his other on her arm. A stream of pure Dark Energy instantly coursed through her body.
Zhao Rui’s Divine Soul search also allowed him to clearly see her past.
"You’re a refugee?"
Zhao Rui stated calmly.
"Yes. I was once royalty from a nearby kingdom..."
The girl tilted her head up slightly, revealing a beautiful face she was clearly proud of.
"There are no spare rooms here. If you want one, build it yourself."
With that, Zhao Rui closed the door to his residence.
