The token continued to glow between our hands, for a moment, nothing happened.

Then the metal grew hot, while Saras own hand shot out from beneath mine and returned to her side, i could feel the heat on my own palm, not enough to burn me, but enough that I could feel the heat spreading reaching through my hand all the way to the skin on the back of it.

The glow intensified, shortly after, i could feel my own hand being repelled as if touching her directly was not possible but at the same time could see that the token which lay flush against her flesh was now floating in the space between my outstretched palm and her exposed skin.

A feeling of connection was forming, it was as if an invisible thread was knitting my hand to her body, sealing the sacred covenant of willing slavery, of a master to a slave.

Then the token disappeared, after a few moments, if didnt just fall away, or crumble into dust.

The token in its entirely melted into the very air itself leaving a scene like i was reaching out to grope the girl before me, which would cause a misunderstanding if anyone was to come walking by and spotting us at this particular moment.

Having pulled my hand back to cradle the hand which had previously felt such heat, only there was no heat now, instead a black mark remained where it had been.

I stared at it.

It was unlike any mark i had seen before, and that even accounted for those which i had seen in my dreams of that man from the strange world.

It didnt seem to be a letter from any alphabet and instead probably was a symbol having a far greater meaning, one that was lost to me right now.

After i looked at my own hand my eyes were drawn to the place where the token had previously resided on Sara.

and just like with me a black mark had also appeared on her, the mark wasn't anything like the simple brands I'd expected from stories about slavery. It was elaborate.

Three black triangles were arranged together in the center, forming a shape of a larger triangle but with the center piece missing. But surrounding those triangles was something far more distinctive.

A dragon.

Its serpentine body curled around the three triangles, its tail wrapping around them, while its claws rose on either side as if the circle created by its tail was really an orb which could be grasped, Lastly Its head rested above the symbol, jaws slightly open, almost as if the great beast sought to devour the orb within its graps in more ways than one.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, instinct provided me the answer, this was my personal slave seal, created from my very soul and was a reflection of my soul.

Only looking once more at the slave brand, i couldnt help wanting to shake my head, this dragon was far to possessive looking, i wasnt like that at all... was it?

Unbenownst to me, i had been staring at Sara's partially exposed chest for quite some time now, which she didnt seem to mind, but eventually Sara broke the silence.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"So..." Her voice was quieter than before, almost as if she felt it wasnt her place to disrupt her new master in his newfound perversion.

I looked toward her.

She seemed embarrassed, her cheeks had turned slightly pink as she looked away, fingers nervously touching the edge of the shirt around her shoulders.

"I don't mean to interrupt and you can go back to staring at me if that is your wish... master, but i would like to see our contract fufilled."

I recoiled a bit in shock, "I wasn't staring!"

"You were!" She shot back.

And thinking on it, i mean okay i was staring but it was the brand i swear it was the brand i was staring at.

To end the awkwardness i simply consented to her with a nod of my head, before taking a look at her face for a few seconds then closing my eyes.

Her status board had appeared before me, and remained up even after i had closed my eyes.

"You currently are skilled in Life and Fire magic, but you can have access to more magic if you want something other than fire, while i can't currently grant you the powers of a Sage or the like, with training and more experience at killing Monsters and the like i can do more for you than what i can now."

Hearing me give an account of her status board, Sara was shocked she was away of her skill in life magic, as it was a pretty common thing for commoners to have but to also hear she had skill in something greater like Fire Magic, well that was like a dream to her.

"What other magic is there? I mean if I were to want something other than fire?"

There were so many possibilities, and not all of them were even known to me, Magic was a rare skill for one to pickup as a commoner, and only a few adventuers he'd seen had possessed magic, while the Baron's noble household only had those with life magic, or really low levels in it to expand his knowledge of the skill tree.

"To start with there are Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind... once you become skilled in any of these a more advanced will probably become available to you, though i don't know what that would be, or you could stay away from Elemental magic like these, and instead go the path of Spiritual magic, which is an option but one i know nothing about currently."

In total she had six free points remaining so we could make some significant changes right away and then develop her further from their since her level was still pretty low at only level 8, which would mean she could get a full 15 more points just to catch up to me while possesing five more points thanks to her slightly more advanced age.

Sara didnt respond to me at first she had closed her own eyes, i knew this cause i had opened my own to check why she hadn't answered my query.

Then eyes still closed she finally spoke.

"Fire, it can cleanse everything and purify this world, burn away the sin and renew the land that has rotted so new life can grow instead untained from the stains fo the past."

Her words were fairly poetic, but also a bit dark at the same time, but her point came across.

A fire in a forest was not seen as a bad thing, often it was a good thing as it would help clear old tree, and dead wood all while preparing the land for the next generation as seedings could take over where the origional tree had once reigned supreme.

Fire was also the great destroyer often times helping clinics and hospitals with preventing infection or sealing wounds to ensure rot would not set in.

Seeing her so resolved in her answer i chose not to disagree and rather than sinking all six points right into fire magic, i gave her a modest boost of three points while also putting the other three into further developing her mana pool.

No sense having access to an amazing fire spell if you can only cast it once, or worse die from attempting to cast it once.

With 8/30 Mana and 4/10 Fire she would surely be considering a Fire Mage now, and by the time i was finished with her and she was prepared to seek out her revenge, those within the kingdom might well call her the greatest Fire Magician they had ever seen before in their lives.
