And so began the night of blood, at first, I told myself I was only going to deal with Cole, then those responsible for his crimes, that was the boundary which had been pushed, but now... after learning everything had i in the last hour of skulking around the Baron's estate.

The boundary had been pushed even further back than before, now i was only a hairs breath away from declaring a guilty verdict on every single person withint he estate walls, and performing a holy cleansing to save this world from the evil being allowed to grow behind these walls.

And now that i had invested into Instinct, i was prepared to go through with it, only still giving the truly innocent a chance however thin that chance was, but still a chance to survive what was going to happen here tonight.

Intuition was pretty simple it was like an enhancement on whatever i was thinking about, so if i focused on someone like i did when accessing their Stat boards, intuition would try to intuit weather or not the person i was seeing was related to my thoughts or not.

All i had to do was focus on people and think about every crime imaginable, and if intuition triggered, then they would die.

I moved through the estate like a wraith, Knight, guard, or servant it no longer mattered, if they trigger intuition when queried by my query about their crimes, they died.

Quick and quiet, one after another, the life signs aroudn the estate were snuff out as they fell into eternal darkness, their bodies dragged out of the common areas and hidden from plain sight.

There were no shouts, or screams, no one even got the chance to raise the alarm signalling there was an intruder.

Some were deserving of their fate more than others, one knight was leaving a bedroom wiping blood off his knuckles, his death was swift, and as i was dragging him to be hidden inside the room, i was greeted with the form of a servant girl laying unconious upon the bed her face bloodied and bruised as if she had only just recently received a bare knuckle scuffle with the knight i had just slain.

Dozens had already fallen to my blade, and then, then I found the Baron, he was just leaving a room, dressed in a very fine looking silk robe that hung loosely on his fat body, just seeing him dressed so casual such that the robe was hardly even closed over, made my want to kill the man for staining my eyes and memory with the sight.

But what i managed to catch through the door that was closing behind him, quickly upgraded the reason he needed to die.

In the mans world of my dreams, what this noble lord had just been up to was one of the most grevious sins and reprehensible crimes one could perform, and was outright shunned pretty much the entire world over.

His death would be one that would be be swift, it would not be painless, and it wouldnt be even remotely honorable.

My dagger was already flying before i had finished drawing my sword.

The blade slicing through the soft tissue of his throat.

But it was not a deep cut, but it was enough.

Even as his eyes were bulging out of his head, blood began to pour from the wound, his hands rising up to clutch at his throat, a gurgling strangling sound was coming from his mouth.

Swing

The next second my imperceptibility was broken as my sword was swung through the air and after performing a tight cresent strike the lords fifth limb fell with a tiny thud to the polished wood floor between his legs.

If his eyes capable they would have popped from his head as the pain overtook his reason, but i wasnt finished just yet.

Slice Swing Slice Swang.

Cut after cut appeared on his body, piece after piece of him fell to the ground at his feet.

Fingers, toes, ears, nose.

It was a wonder how he was even still standing rather than crumpling into a ball on the floor, but it wouldnt matter his fate was already sealed.

Even if someone decided to resurrect this piece of shit, i would extend my stay or come back here with all haste just to put the bastard into the ground once more myself.

One this execution had been completed i simply wiped my blades off on what little of his robe wasnt already dripping in blood before moving on, leaving him there like the pile of refuse he was.

By midnight, the estate had become unnaturally quiet as hundreds of corpses now riddled the buildings and grounds.

Checking my status my level had increased by a total of seven since i had begun my slaughter, several points had also accumulated, and a few of those i had invested as soon as i earned them increaseing the accuracy and power of my intuition, which only fueled my rampage even more, once Intuition reached 5, when i asked the question about crimes i could almost see the crimes the men and even women had commited like a ghost floating above their heads.

After i had reached this point all further points did not need to be spent on increasing it further, i was already able to see more than i wanted to.

But something was bothering me, i had already been at it for hours now, and had searched a good portion of the estate, and yet... Cole, I hadn't found him, almost like he wasnt even here.

That bothered me, made me worried that i wasnt even in the right place to send that bastard on his way, not that i regreted my actions here tonight, as i had indeed made the world a better place already, but if cole had moved on i needed to know where he was spreading his ilk.

But instinct at least provided me a simple comfort, it was telling me he was still in the town, but i couldnt get any clearer of a location than that, of course i could invest more into it, but that felt like a waste, it didnt matter where cole went, he would get what was coming to him soon enough.

I had carved my bloody path, through the barracks, servants quarters, warehouses, grounds, even the main house itself, all that remained was a final door one which led down stairs below the mainsion.

And it became clear as i descended that his was the dungeon, or jail.

Only the cells i passed were empty, or they were except for the last one farthest down, and that was when i saw it.

Something that stopped me in my tracks, caused my mind to go completely blank.

Inside was a girl laying on the stone floor, curled up against the two walls as far as possible from the bars that acted as the doorway.

Her hair was disheveled, and parts of her clothes were torn and poorly arranged; bruises were visible on her arms, and face.

I wanted to ask the question lingering in my mind, but she was out cold, and to wake her now felt more like sending her back into that torture, so i instead opted to just collected her up as is.

Stopping on the way to get some blankets i could use to wrap her up with and cover her body, before leaving the estate behind.

When she finally woke up, i would decide what to do next, if she couldnt deal with what had been done to her... i would do what was needed and end her suffering,

~

At the same time as Carter was off heading back to his inn carrying the girl bundled up in blankets, Cole the target of his night raid was just stepping onto the estate grounds once more, a smile plastered on his face, as he cockily walked into his new home, his armor clanking with each step he took.

Not caring that something seemed off, as he hadnt seen a single person, or even a single light on within the estate.

No... he was to proud of himself, to focused on staring at the fresh blood still coating his gauntlets, his fingers tracing patterns on his own palms.
