I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?
Chapter 455: A Blurred Figure!Federal Calendar 7709, January 7th, morning.
Radiant Flow Star Domain.
A vegetation-type resource planet with only modest Federation development.
On this resource planet, once occupied and mined by the Energy Department, there was an open gathering point for the Nature Sect.
As promoters and overseers of the Natural Environment Protection Act, the Nature Sect’s gathering points were usually located on remote resource-rich planets, not on densely populated, habitable worlds.
Druids who worshipped Moonlight and Nature practiced the Druidic tenets of “balance and vitality,” “wildness and destruction,” on these fragile planets that needed protection.
This unnamed resource planet on the outskirts of the Radiant Flow Star Domain had become nearly abandoned after the recent “Resistance incident.”
During that widespread turmoil, the Energy Department personnel who had been responsible for harvesting resources from this planet had long since vanished.
Although Radiant Flow Star Domain was dominated by chaos and ambition, it had not been taken openly under the Resistance’s banner. Yet when the Resistance first swept through the Federation, the domain’s true masters—various cult organizations and hidden conspirators beneath the surface—had opportunistically weakened the Federation’s hold here.
Though Radiant Flow was nominally still Federation territory, in reality it had become indistinguishable from the Beastkin Star Domain.
While other star domains inside the Federation were still restoring order, this place had already become a true “land of freedom.”
As a former member organization of the cults that had become a legitimate Federation organization, the Nature Sect suffered almost no negative impact from the recent “Resistance incident.”
After publicly declaring their support for the Federation, the Nature Sect barely had time to act before the Resistance oddly collapsed.
It unfolded like a ridiculous farce.
So much so that everyone began to suspect whether this was yet another obscure conspiracy orchestrated by the Federation Council.
After all, the old nobility class—the initial core of the Resistance—had been let off too easily by the Federation.
More than half of the old aristocratic houses still remained, openly taking their interstellar fleets and conspicuously leaving the Federation for the Endless Star Realm.
This situation made many recall the Federation’s final days of the old era.
Back then, the pioneering nobles left Federation space after losing a power struggle, forced into unknown star domains.
Those unknown star domains then became Federation territory.
A new era began.
Now, the fleeing of the old nobles gave many beings in the Star Realm an uncanny sense of déjà vu.
They felt like they had seen this script before...
People’s feelings were complicated.
They couldn’t understand why the Federation Council’s faction—fanatics who supposedly needed no faith—were the ones most eager to expand their borders.
At the same time, in the eyes of Federation opponents who imagined the Federation to be excessively powerful, even while the Federation faced severe internal and external crises, the Federation Council still dared to scheme aggressively outward.
These Federation fanatics’ desire to annex other star domains was no weaker than that of the Empire’s leader.
The Federation must have some unknown trump card!
Otherwise, the Federation Council fanatics would never dare to act like this!!
After arriving at this perfectly logical conclusion, the Federation grew stronger by one notch in their minds.
Wrong conclusions often breed wrong decisions.
Thus, these powerful enemies in the Endless Star Realm prudently decided to wait and observe a little longer.
After all, they had waited over seven thousand years; one more pause meant nothing.
...
While countless powerful entities in the Star Realm chose to wait and see whether the Federation hid some unknown trump card, two unfamiliar visitors who had never been here before arrived on this lightly developed vegetation-rich resource planet on Radiant Flow’s outskirts.
Outside the Nature Sect’s gathering point on the planet, a five-meter-diameter silver teleportation magic array lit up.
The ripples of spatial magic caused all the Druids participating in the meeting inside the gathering point to look up in the same direction.
Who could be causing a magic fluctuation of this magnitude...
The next moment, every Druid inside the gathering point unexpectedly turned to look behind them.
Solon Linton, the Legendary Grand Druid, rose from his seat. After smoothing his green robe and adjusting the animal fur scarf at his neck, his kind face broke into a smile as he said to the gathered Druids:
“Don’t be nervous. It’s the Goddess of Nature’s Chosen One.”
At that, a small figure sitting beside Solon Linton jumped down excitedly from her seat.
“Big Brother is here?!” Ayla Morningstar’s eyes lit up!
Then she shifted her gaze and activated her perception ability.
“Huh?! There’s another strange aura outside?”
“Doesn’t feel much like a human. Is it Big Brother’s new pet...?” Ayla Morningstar muttered softly.
Hearing his most adorable disciple’s whisper, Solon Linton shook his head and smiled, reaching up to lightly pat Ayla Morningstar’s small head.
“Don’t talk nonsense. That is a sage of the Dragon race. The Nature Sect should show some respect.”
“He should be Loren’s friend.”
With that, Solon Linton removed his hand from over Ayla Morningstar’s head and nodded to the Druids in the gathering point:
“Let’s go. Let us go out and welcome the Goddess of Nature’s Chosen One.”
Led by Solon Linton, the Druids quickly moved toward the gathering point’s exit.
The Moderates among them had long been curious about the “Big Brother” that Little Ayla often mentioned.
What kind of being could be favored by the Goddess of Nature, who had never favored anyone?
Was he really as the Federation news painted him?
A dangerous creature prowling the darkness like a beast, or was that merely the Federation’s slander?
Or was he merely a mad-looking man with a gentle heart...
...
Soon, Solon Linton led the Druids out through the gathering point’s gate.
What greeted the Moderates’ eyes exceeded their imagination—two figures far different from what they had pictured.
Under a towering oak at the gate, a graceful figure stood in silence, noble in bearing, exquisitely beautiful to an extent that would make most intelligent beings stare in astonishment.
A silver skirt fluttered in the breeze like a painting come to life.
At the same time, a faint draconic majesty emanating from her quietly reminded everyone present that she was a dragon of immense danger.
Standing to the left of this beautiful figure was a smiling young man.
Tall, handsome, dressed in a black coat, wearing an elegant hat.
His long hair fell behind his head and moved with the forest breeze, giving him a distinct and dangerous aura.
People could almost smell the involuntary scent of blood around him.
Cold, suffocating, oppressive, yet irresistibly drawing one closer.
“Good morning, everyone~”
The handsome young man under the oak tipped his hat with a raised hand and offered a gentle greeting to those present.
At the sound of that greeting, a small, blurry figure darted from the gathering point’s gate straight toward the oak tree.
“Jerk of a Big Brother! You finally came to see me!!!”
