Chapter 532: Third Miss Tanner Was Also Disfigured

Chapter 532: Chapter 532: Third Miss Tanner Was Also Disfigured

Two hours later, Room 206 fell silent. The two bodyguards, their task complete, slipped away as if they had never been there.

At the same time, the sounds from Room 219 also ceased.

The room was dark, devoid of light, until a phone on the nightstand suddenly rang, casting a faint glow.

Ethan Kingsley climbed out of bed and picked up the phone.

He glanced at the caller ID: Claire Sinclair.

A slight smile touched Ethan Kingsley’s lips. Without so much as a glance at the woman "passed out" on the bed, he grabbed the bathrobe from the bedside, slipped it on, and walked out onto the balcony.

He answered the call. "Star Reporter Sinclair, what’s up?"

Claire Sinclair’s calm voice came from the other end. "When does your party end?"

"Not for a while. It ends at midnight."

"I’ll head over in a bit."

With that, she hung up.

Ethan Kingsley’s lips curled into a smirk. He gazed out at the quiet backyard, a feeling of delight washing over him.

Just then, a slight noise came from behind him—it sounded like a door closing.

Ethan Kingsley frowned slightly. ’Has the woman woken up?’

Remembering what had just happened, Ethan Kingsley’s mood soared. He turned and walked back into the room, flicked on the lights, and got dressed. He then glanced at the closed bathroom door and said, "I’ll be waiting for you downstairs. Come down soon."

With that, he turned and left.

Only when she could no longer hear any movement outside did Ivy Tanner dare to step out of the bathroom. She was already back in her own clothes. Not daring to linger for even a second, she rushed out.

When she reached the hallway, she saw a crowd of people gathered in front of a room in the distance, as if something had happened.

She wanted to go over and see, but then she spotted Ethan Kingsley standing among them. She didn’t dare approach, so she turned back.

As it happened, the hotel’s emergency exits were on opposite ends of the hall. Ivy Tanner hurried down the stairs and re-entered the first-floor lobby through the back entrance.

In the lobby, many people were craning their necks, all looking toward the top of the staircase to the second floor, likely having noticed the commotion in the hallway above.

’That’s strange. What happened?’

’No, this is no time to be thinking about that!’

Ivy Tanner went into the women’s restroom and locked herself in a stall. She needed a moment to calm down.

Just then, some people entered the restroom. Two women were gossiping. "I just asked around. Apparently, the Third Miss Tanner got drunk and ended up with that fat idiot from the Carson Family. The scene was a total mess. They say her face was ruined, and there was blood all over the room."

"No way, that’s horrible!"

"You know how it is. Fatty Carson isn’t just mentally disabled, he’s a violent one. But what can you do? The Carson Family couldn’t produce another son, so they have no choice but to dote on their foolish boy."

"But to slash the Third Miss Tanner’s face... that’s just too awful. She’s already considered a fool, and now she’s disfigured. What’s she going to do now?"

"The Third Miss Tanner is so pitiful. With such low intelligence, to be abused by an idiot like that... Do you think the Carson Family will make her marry into their family?"

"That would be terrifying! If the Third Miss Tanner is married into the Carson Family, her life will be ruined!"

...

Hearing this, Ivy Tanner’s face went pale. Her teeth chattered, her heart raced, and her body trembled uncontrollably as terror consumed her world.

Ethan Kingsley’s goal... was to throw her to that two-hundred-pound, mentally disabled fatty from the Carson Family!
