I Only Summon Amazon Giantesses
Chapter 43: Competition: The Amazon’s RevelationThe crowd’s noise dipped slightly. Even students who had been cheering wildly only moments earlier now leaned forward, watching closely.
Mark lingered for a moment, his eyes tracing over the hardened shell and ready stance of the summon across from him. From what he’d observed so far, he could only guess at one thing about it, and that was...
Mark never got the chance to finish that thought before Max acted.
No verbal command passed between them. Instead, some kind of silent, mental link seemed to connect summoner and summon directly, letting them coordinate without a single word spoken aloud.
As though responding to an unheard signal, the Bowling ArmoredDillo launched itself more than three meters into the air. Its segmented carapace curled instantly into a dense, hardened ball mid flight before slamming back down with a thunderous impact that rippled visibly across the entire platform.
A sizable crater marked the exact point of landing, clear evidence of just how precisely the summon had controlled its own descent. Watching students immediately understood this wasn’t simply brute force at work. Real, calculated intelligence sat behind that movement.
Had it not held back, a quarter of the platform, maybe more, could easily have been reduced to rubble, as though struck directly by a falling meteor.
The referee stumbled backward several steps, careful to avoid getting caught anywhere near the unfolding display of raw power. Everyone had already expected this particular match to run brutal and dangerous, given the obvious tension simmering between both competitors.
The crowd held its collective breath, murmurs, whispers, and sharp gasps spreading rapidly through the stands. People had already started forming their own private predictions about how this would end.
It was becoming clear this wasn’t shaping up to be just another routine match. This was a genuine clash between two students who had each staked out real positions near the top of the sophomore class. One stood firmly in Kai’s circle, while the other had rapidly grown stronger and was now regularly seen walking beside a potential heir of the Great Phoenix family.
Several students leaned in, trading quiet whispers among themselves.
"Max’s summon is already showing that level of control? Seriously?"
"Then what’s Mark even going to do against something like that?" one sophomore muttered, half to himself, voice tight with genuine nerves.
"He’s a new summoner, though. Maybe that works in his favor here. New blood sometimes throws out summons nobody’s ever seen the like of," a boy a few rows back offered, leaning forward on his knees.
A girl beside him snorted, unconvinced. "Looking impressive on paper doesn’t automatically translate to real combat experience. Plenty of flashy summoners fold the second things get serious."
"Sure, normally I’d agree with you," the freshman boy sitting just behind her cut in, arms crossed. "But after what happened during his actual awakening ceremony, I wouldn’t be so quick to write him off. I was there. Trust me, you don’t forget something like that."
"Wait, you were actually there?" the girl asked, twisting around in her seat, sudden interest replacing her earlier skepticism.
"Front row seat to the whole disaster," he said grimly. "Still get chills thinking about it."
Further down the row, an older sophomore girl chewed absently on the end of her pen, eyes narrowed thoughtfully at the platform below. "Honestly, I just want to see something worth remembering. Half these matches end before I even finish my snack."
That earned a scattered laugh from those close enough to hear her.
The mixture of genuine excitement and lingering uncertainty only made the arena grow more restless by the second.
Mark studied his opponent’s summon once more before finally closing his eyes, drawing in one slow, steady breath. His thoughts drifted back toward what he had once witnessed deep within his own soul space, exploring the world tied to Cassandra.
Along those distant walls, ancient engraved writing and artistic murals had stretched endlessly, carrying messages and stories he once couldn’t fully decipher. Most of the symbols remained unreadable to him, likely incoherent to his mind for then, pieces of a puzzle he couldn’t earned the full picture of yet before.
His thoughts settled particularly on one strange, recurring image, a towering, ancient island populated entirely by feminine figures, caught mid celebration in the middle of some wild, sprawling festival.
He could feel that same primal, ancient force connecting him to it, a deep current of authority flowing steadily through his veins.
And now, it was finally time to call his summon forward.
His eyes snapped open, bright and sharp as a lit torch, as he released a firm, focused mental command.
’Cassandra, come forth. It’s your time to shine.’
Glowing mana energy swirled beside him like a slowly blossoming flower before converging together into a tall, unmistakably feminine figure. The sharp, deliberate click of heels rang out clearly against the hard surface of the platform.
Over where Mia sat with her usual circle of subordinates, her expression shifted sharply, eyes widening in genuine disbelief at the sight unfolding before her.
Victor leaned forward for a closer look, while Jack, seated several rows away from Mia following their earlier falling out, blinked rapidly, clearly caught off guard.
What had once looked like a fairly ordinary female warrior now stood transformed into something closer to legend, a towering, elegant Amazon standing a full seven feet tall, her body shaped with the unmistakable strength of a seasoned combatant, yet carrying an enchanting, almost regal allure alongside it, her youthful features somehow balancing both qualities at once.
Her slender, powerful frame looked even more striking given her height, emphasized further by long, muscular legs that towered well above Mark, her own summoner. Her broad hips strained against the base of her short battle skirt, lending her presence an added, undeniable quality of being tantalizing.
But the most eye catching addition by far was the large bronze pauldron now resting over her right shoulder, etched with intricate, flowing filigree work. It looked equally suited as protective armor or as a weapon in its own right, more than capable of delivering a devastating shoulder driven strike.
Her evolved bracers remained just as formidable as ever, reinforced metallic bands wrapped securely along the length of her lean, powerful arms.
Most striking of all, though, was the elegant totemic mark etched deep into her right thick thigh. The symbol combined a circle with a small cross extending downward from its base, instantly recognizable as the common representation of the female gender.
To the Amazons themselves, however, it carried far deeper meaning. It stood as the righteous, honored emblem of the Legendary Amazon Order.
For a moment, the entire arena fell completely silent. Then the reactions hit all at once. Gasps rippled outward through the stands.
"What in the world?"
"That’s seriously what his summon actually looks like?"
"That’s an Amazon! A real one!"
"Wait, wasn’t his summon supposed to be just some ordinary female warrior type?"
"She’s got to be seven, maybe eight feet tall, easy! That’s genuinely terrifying!"
Even a handful of upperclassmen leaned forward with renewed interest at the sight. The sheer scale of the transformation was dramatic enough that several students who had previously written Mark’s summon off as unremarkable now sat fully engaged, watching closely.
"Female Warrior of the Amazon Order, 4.4 Mid Level Elite Tier!" the referee suddenly called out, his handheld gauging device flashing the result clearly for the crowd.
He already knew the names and classifications tied to each summon in advance, since students were required to submit accurate registration details ahead of time for the school’s official records.
The unusual name barely registered with most of the crowd for more than a passing moment. Their attention had already shifted entirely toward something far more significant.
Her tier had climbed dramatically in just a matter of weeks.
That kind of rapid growth remained genuinely unusual, even accounting for the fact that summons naturally strengthened over time through training, real combat experience, and absorbed dungeon cores.
Mark himself wasn’t particularly shaken by how different his summon now appeared compared to before. He had already glimpsed the deeper, hidden mystery surrounding Cassandra firsthand, deep within his own soul space.
To him, she was never simply some powerful tool for battle.
She was something entirely her own, a living, breathing connection to a legendary bloodline he was still only beginning to understand.
And despite every eye now fixed on her, Mark’s expression softened slightly as his gaze settled on Cassandra.
There was something genuinely admirable about watching her stand there with that much quiet dignity. She wasn’t merely a weapon summoned for the sake of combat. She was Cassandra, a companion who had already shown him real kindness, discipline, and a personality entirely her own.
The sight filled him with a quiet, steady sense of pride.
From the rooftop office overlooking the arena, Williams drew in a slow breath as he watched the unfolding event through the towering glass window before him. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully, one hand resting beneath his chin as he glanced toward Mary, standing beside him with a large, tablet like gauging device held in both hands.
"Mary, what’s the reading show? Still the same numbers, or are we already behind? Report."
Williams raised an eyebrow the moment he caught the expression forming across his personal secretary’s face.
Mary very nearly dropped the device outright, catching herself just in time against the shock still registering on her features.
"You’re seriously not hearing this already? He’s just jumped from a mere 3.4 High Level Basic Tier straight to 4.4 Mid Level Elite Tier! That’s a full point increase in barely a couple weeks, and that summon of his has already pushed well past anything resembling normal evolutionary expectations!"
Mary let out a small shudder before finally handing the gauging device over to the headmaster.
"This isn’t normal, not even for a humanoid summon, which typically grows at a painfully slow, gradual pace. Something like this should realistically take months to achieve, if not longer."
Williams studied the readout carefully.
"Even accounting for the fact that he’s clearly been using dungeon cores, it should still have taken considerably longer for the summon to fully assimilate that kind of power, let alone advance at this pace."
His expression grew noticeably more serious.
"This falls completely outside any ordinary growth pattern I’m familiar with. Occurrences like this are rare enough that they’re usually tied directly to powerful clans, elite guilds, or the deliberate influence of major authorities pulling strings somewhere behind the scenes."
He paused, considering the thought further.
"Still, there’s always the matter of raw luck and individual variation to account for. Sometimes the established rules simply don’t explain everything we see."
Tucked away in a secluded corner of the stands, appearing to most as nothing more than a spectator and part time bleacher cleaner, Carlo cleared his throat quietly as fresh results flickered across his own remarkably advanced handheld device.
His eyes remained just as calm and assured as ever.
With that, he rose to his feet and gathered his cleaning equipment, heading back toward the staff room, every bit the unassuming, dutiful member of the school’s support staff he appeared to be on the surface.
Meanwhile, Max broke into a wide, delighted grin at the sight of Mark’s newly revealed summon.
"Well, look at that. Under another lady’s skirt again, huh? Works out fine by me, honestly. I’ll teach the both of you exactly where you belong. Once I’m done with that summon of yours, I’m coming straight for you next."
He glanced toward his own summon, already curled tightly into its massive, armored bowling ball formation, radiating raw destructive potential.
An unbearable, self satisfied smirk spread across his lips as he gave the final command.
In that instant, the Bowling ArmoredDillo surged forward like a launched cannonball, leaving a deep, rumbling echo trailing behind it, loud and bombastic as a small detonation tearing across the platform.
