I woke up from my sleep, the remnants of dreams still clinging to my consciousness like cobwebs, only to find Levy beside me crying with that insistent, piercing wail that only hungry infants can produce. But my body was so sore, every muscle aching in delicious protest, my thighs trembling with remembered exertion, that I could barely get myself up. Damn, I really need to work on my stamina if I am going to survive being mated to a tiger with endless energy with any of them if I’m honest. These beast men are endless with their stamina.
I pushed myself up, pressing my back against the cool stone wall for support, my limbs shaking with the effort. I looked at my daughter, her tiny furry body curled in a ball of gold, her little paws kneading at the furs beneath her, her tail lashing in irritation. Her small muzzle opened to release another piercing cry, ears pinned back against her head in displeasure. "Are you hungry, sweetie?" I croaked, my voice rough from sleep and screaming.
I tried to pick her up and realized with a sinking heart that I did not even have the strength to lift her. She was no bigger than a house cat, a tiny bundle of fur and need, but I really did not have any energy left after Aureon’s marathon attentions. So I removed my top, my breasts heavy and full, aching with milk, and exposed my breast to her, the nipple already leaking with anticipation. "Come, sweetie. You can latch on mommy’s nipple, right?"
Levy did not need any more encouragement. She latched onto my nipple with greedy enthusiasm, sucking like her life depended on it, her tiny mouth working furiously as she drew the milk from me. The sensation was overwhelming, a mixture of tenderness and relief as my body responded to her need.
Then Caelion entered, his broad shoulders filling the doorway, bringing the three newborns who were whimpering in his large hands, their tiny cries pitiful and demanding. They were hungry too, squirming against his palms, their little mouths opening and closing in search of sustenance.
"Bring one here," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I have two nipples, so one can latch on to the other one while Levy is eating. But Caelion... can you hold the cub there? I have no energy to support them both."
He happily obliged, his face softening with that gentle expression he reserved for me and our children. He carefully positioned one of the newborns at my free breast, supporting its tiny head with his calloused fingers, guiding it until it found purchase and began to suckle with contented little noises.
"Hey, I wanted to help Krys like that too," Leon said, entering with Niku and Sikai cradled in his muscular arms, his lower lip jutting out in a pout that would have looked ridiculous on a warrior if it were not so endearing.
"It is just feeding the cubs, Leon," I said, exhaustion making my words come out sharper than intended.
"But Caelion gets to help you intimately by bringing the cub to your breast and watching them suckle you. That is a bonding moment too. I want that as well," he insisted, his dark eyes flashing with competitive spirit.
Oh Leon... you can be childish sometimes... I thought, but I could not help the smile that tugged at my lips. "Alright. After Levy is finished, you can help the other cub to my nipple? Will that be fine?"
"Yes!" Leon beamed, his entire face lighting up with triumph as if he had won some great battle.
So the morning progressed as I lay there feeling like a feeding tube, my mates, which had only been Leon and Caelion initially, suddenly became Aureon, Ravin, and Veylan as well, each taking one cub and letting them feed at my breast. They crowded around me, a wall of muscle and devotion, each claiming their turn to hold a cub to my nipple, to watch the intimate act of nourishment, their eyes dark with emotion as they bonded with me through this simple act.
For the older cubs who were too old to latch, Ravin helped me squeeze my breast to give them milk, his large, warm hands gentle against my swollen flesh, his fingers applying just the right pressure to express the liquid into a clay bowl. Which made the other jealous as well, of course, because these men could not seem to help themselves when it came to competition.
So I told them they could take turns squeezing the milk when the time comes, which only made them more eager, each trying to outdo the other in gentleness and care. It was exhausting, this constant attention, this overwhelming presence of love and need.
After feeding all the cubs, I went back to bed, unable to keep my eyes open a moment longer. I could not move thanks to Aureon’s relentless stamina from the night before, and the chaos during feeding time drained me even more, leaving me a hollow shell of exhaustion.
It was near evening when I woke back up, the light outside having shifted to that golden hour that precedes sunset. Aureon brought in my dinner that Leon had prepared, a steaming bowl of crowhen soup, the rich aroma filling the room and making my stomach growl. Something that will give me energy, restore what had been depleted.
He fed me spoonful by spoonful, his eyes never leaving mine, murmuring apologies for wearing me out even as pride shone in his gaze. I ate slowly, savoring the warmth spreading through my body, the simple pleasure of being cared for.
It is days like this that make me genuinely happy. Where nothing bad happens, no threats loom on the horizon, no battles need to be fought. Just boring days like this exist, filled with the cries of children, the jealous bickering of mates, the warmth of soup and the safety of walls that keep us protected. This domestic chaos, this overwhelming love, this is what I fought for, what I would continue to fight for, even if it means building my stamina to match a certain insatiable tiger.

The next day I was able to move easier, my muscles no longer screaming in protest with every shift of my body. Not as sore as I was the day before, though I still carried the pleasant ache of well used muscles that reminded me of Aureon’s attentions. I decided to stretch my legs, enjoying the feeling of freedom as I took the newborn cubs into the village, swaddled carefully against my chest, their tiny hearts beating in rhythm with mine. My entourage of older cubs and one month cubs followed closely behind me, a parade of fuzzy bodies and curious eyes that drew smiles from the villagers we passed.
We were walking along the street, the sun warm on my face and the sounds of daily life filling my ears, the smell of baking bread and fresh herbs carried on the breeze, when a burly bear beast stepped in front of me, blocking our path with his massive frame. He towered over me, his shoulders broad as a doorway, his eyes intense with a hunger that made me instinctively clutch my cubs closer.
"Healer! I know what you could do. I have seen your miracle at the hawk tribe. Take me as a mate too," he declared, his voice booming and confident, as if his request was the most natural thing in the world.
He startled me, making me jump back and nearly trip over Niku who was weaving between my feet. "Oh! No. I am sorry. I do not want any other mates," I stammered, my heart hammering against my ribs as I tried to shield my children from his imposing presence.
"Please you must! I beg you," he said, dropping to his knees right there in the dirt street, his head bowed low in a gesture of plea that only made the situation more uncomfortable and public.
"Please, you are scaring my cubs," I said, noting how Levy had pressed herself against my leg, her fur body trembling, how the newborns had begun to whimper at the sudden tension in the air. "If you need healing I have no problem helping. But do not do this. I do not want another mate," I told him firmly, my voice gaining strength even as my hands shook.
"What is going on?" Ravin came up behind me, his presence like a wall of heat and barely contained fury. He must have just gotten back from his talk with his father, his expression still carrying the remnants of political weariness that instantly vanished when he saw the scene before him.
"Young prince, I am asking your mate if she could take me as a mate as well," the bear beastmen answered without a hint of shame, his eyes still fixed on me with desperate hope. Wow, this bear beastmen has no fear. Who just tells another man he wants to share his female?
"You must have a death wish," Ravin’s voice was dangerously low, a growl rumbling through his chest that made the hair on my arms stand up. His hand went to the blade at his hip, his body positioning itself between me and the interloper with lethal intent.
"I am only trying to receive her favor. It is not fair that you try to covet her. A female can have as many mates as she wants," the bear beastmen continued, either brave or foolish enough to press his case even as Ravin’s shadow fell over him.
"Well this female does not want more," I interrupted, turning to my children, my voice sharp with finality. "I feel like going home. Let us go home, Ravin. Kids? Let us go."
I gathered my cubs close, herding them away from the bear who remained kneeling in the street, his hopes crumbling as I walked away without a backward glance. My day was cut short by the bizarre incident; the pleasant mood shattered like glass. What the hell was that all about? Do not tell me I will be getting those types of attention now that they have seen my powers? The thought made my stomach churn with dread as we made our way back to the safety of our home, Ravin’s protective presence looming behind me like a promise of violence to anyone else who might try.
