I Will Conquer and rule the World as trash prince
Chapter 60 – is that dragon? Nah, wait is that DRAGONThe orange afternoon light pierced through the wooden window lattices in the clan leaders' meeting room. The rays illuminated the fine dust floating slowly in the air. The distinct smell of old parchment paper and mountain tea merged filling the room. The view outside the window displayed an expanse of green valleys blanketed in thin mist with traditional wooden buildings with curved roofs standing firmly blending along the high cliffs.
A woman with long black hair and a pair of white horns stood looking down in front of a giant wooden table. Her face looked calm. Her pair of red eyes stared sharply at the table. She wore a deep purple traditional silk dress with intricate silver embroidery. Her slender fingers held a wooden piece carved with a dragon. She moved the black piece backward away from the border line drawn on the expanse of the parchment map.
"They are not doing anything," the woman muttered quietly. "There is absolutely no movement whatsoever."
"Anything."
"Anything."
She stared at the troop formation in silence. The mountain atmosphere outside was very quiet. Only the sound of bamboo wind chimes clinking softly blown by the wind could be heard. At the corner of the table a clay teapot released hot steam into the air.
"The latest information, the emperor killed spies from a different kingdom," she said quietly. The woman narrowed her eyes. "But he did not mention which kingdom they were from."
"Is it to prevent us from cooperating with that kingdom?"
The woman pressed her cheek against her palm. "I am annoyed."
She walked backward and sat leaning on her wooden chair. She lifted the cup then drank her tea slowly. Her eyes stared straight toward the window looking at the sunset view.
She daydreamed. She merely daydreamed staring at the sky.
"We must move soon."
"We might." The woman closed her eyes then fell asleep in her chair.
A slow vibration suddenly spread across the surface of the wooden floor. The sound of giant wings flapping splitting the air was heard clearly from the direction of the courtyard outside the meeting room.
The woman slowly opened her eyes.
A giant black dragon's shadow passed by covering the orange light at the window for a moment.
"That looks like a dragon," the woman muttered. She closed her eyes again.
One second later she opened them again. "Oh that is a dragon."
She stood up from her seat then walked out toward the balcony. She folded both of her hands behind her back.
The dragon flew closer until it was a few meters away from the woman. The flap of those giant wings created a strong wind that made the strands of the woman's hair blow backward.
On top of the dragon's back stood a messy black haired man with glowing red eyes. He wore thick pitch black battle armor. A pair of dark horns protruded from his head.
The man stared straight at the woman then bowed his head.
The woman moved her right hand gently toward the giant creature.
Instantly the black dragon's form disappeared from the air.
The armored man was now already crouching down on the balcony's wooden floor.
"The imperial ship is heading to Your Majesty's kingdom," the man said. "Just as we suspected, the ship contains Crown Prince Villavia Ragnazikir and several of his subordinates."
The woman did not say anything. She only nodded once.
The man continued his report. "From our intel, the ship originated from the human kingdom, to conduct a trade agreement."
The woman narrowed her eyes sharply. "Humans? Kingdom? Possibly Elfier."
The woman nodded again. "Did you see any humans inside there?"
The man shook his head. "When I was about to observe closer, someone noticed my presence."
The woman nodded understandingly.
"Have you found out the spies from which kingdom were executed?" the woman asked.
The man shook his head again. "I am sorry."
The woman exhaled softly. She then bent her knees and crouched in front of the man. Her right hand raised then gently stroked the man's head. "Good job."
"Lefa."
"Now rest, and prepare for the meeting tonight," the woman ordered.
"Yes!" Lefa answered with a firm tone.
The woman stroked Lefa's head one more time. Instantly the armored man's body disappeared from sight leaving a thin gust of wind on the balcony.
