I'm Not Your Husband, You Evil Dragon!
Chapter 245: The Memories They StoleThen the ocean exploded.
An enormous pillar of seawater erupted hundreds of feet into the sky as something unimaginably massive forced its way out from the depths of the Pacific Ocean.
The violent eruption sent walls of seawater crashing against the warship with enough force to make the one-hundred-thousand-ton vessel groan beneath the impact.
Waves surged in every direction while the calm evening sea transformed into a raging battlefield. It no longer looked as though something had merely surfaced.
It felt as though the ocean itself had been torn apart to allow an ancient existence to awaken.
Captain Hayes stared through the bridge windows, his breathing stopping completely as the silhouette continued rising higher and higher.
At first he could only make out darkness, but then two enormous eyes slowly opened within that darkness. They burned with blazing golden light, their pupils narrowing as they silently locked onto the warship.
They were the largest eyes Captain Hayes had ever seen in his entire life.
Each one alone dwarfed helicopters resting upon the carrier deck, and the moment those eyes settled upon the ship, every sailor instinctively felt like prey standing before an apex predator.
The creature continued emerging without hurry.
Gigantic dark-blue scales reflected the dying sunlight like polished steel, each scale alone larger than armored vehicles.
Long horns resembling a royal crown curved backward from its skull, giving the beast an appearance more fitting for an emperor than a monster.
Every slow breath escaping its nostrils produced visible torrents of air that rolled across the ocean like hurricanes, pushing enormous waves away from its body.
Its mere presence changed the surrounding atmosphere.
The sky darkened, the winds became violent, and the once peaceful Pacific began roaring beneath its overwhelming existence.
Only then did everyone truly understand its size.
The warship...
The pride of the United States Navy...
The floating fortress carrying thousands of soldiers...
Looked no larger than a wooden fishing boat drifting before an island.
Captain Hayes felt his entire body turn cold. His years of military experience, his countless missions, and every logical explanation his mind searched for simply collapsed before the impossible reality standing before him.
"It... can’t be..."
His voice barely escaped his lips.
Beside him, the vice captain raised a trembling hand toward the gigantic creature, his finger shaking so violently that he could barely keep it pointed forward. His face had completely lost its color, and his breathing became uneven as disbelief consumed him.
"C-Captain..."
"What..."
"What is that...?"
"This has to be a dream..."
"...right?"
Neither of them received an answer.
Behind them, two armed guards who had witnessed the creature’s full appearance collapsed onto the steel floor. Their rifles slipped from their hands as their legs refused to support their bodies any longer. One continuously shook his head while the other whispered incoherent prayers, unable to accept what his own eyes were seeing.
Captain Hayes slowly lowered his binoculars.
His lips trembled.
His heart pounded so violently that he could hear nothing else.
Then, with a voice filled more with fear than certainty, he whispered the only name that matched the legend standing before him.
"...Leviathan."
The ancient name echoed across the silent bridge.
As though responding to being recognized...
The Leviathan moved.
Its colossal neck slowly rose higher before its head tilted toward the heavens.
Then...
It roared.
The sound was beyond anything human ears had been meant to hear. It wasn’t merely loud—it was overwhelming.
The roar ripped across the Pacific Ocean like an invisible tsunami, shaking the sea itself while monstrous waves rose in every direction.
Windows across the warship shattered instantly, radar systems flickered violently, and hundreds of soldiers screamed as the shockwave hurled them across the deck. Even fighter jets secured upon the carrier shook violently under the pressure.
"P-OPEN FIRE!"
Captain Hayes screamed with every ounce of strength remaining inside him.
"FIRE EVERYTHING!!"
The order snapped the soldiers from their terror.
Missiles launched.
Heavy cannons erupted.
Machine guns unleashed endless streams of bullets.
Rocket launchers fired one after another.
Everything the warship possessed was thrown toward the ancient beast in a desperate attempt to survive.
The Pacific Ocean became a storm of explosions.
Yet...
The Leviathan never moved.
The countless missiles and shells struck its scales only to explode into brilliant fireballs that disappeared moments later, leaving behind nothing.
Not a crack.
Not a scratch.
Not even a single damaged scale.
It simply watched.
Then the ancient creature slowly lowered its head.
Its enormous jaws began opening.
Rows upon rows of gigantic fangs emerged from the darkness of its mouth, each one larger than entire buildings. Behind them were countless smaller teeth stretching endlessly into a throat so vast that it resembled a bottomless abyss rather than the mouth of a living creature. The opening continued expanding until every soldier aboard the carrier realized the horrifying truth.
Its mouth...
Was larger than the warship itself.
For one final moment...
Time itself seemed to stop.
Then the Leviathan lunged forward.
The entire aircraft carrier vanished into its mouth in a single bite.
Steel.
Jets.
Missiles.
Thousands of soldiers.
One of humanity’s greatest naval warships...
Disappeared as effortlessly as a human swallowing a piece of bread. There was no struggle, no prolonged battle, and no chance to escape.
The Pacific Ocean fell silent once more.
The only sound remaining was the slow rhythm of waves crashing against the impossibly enormous body of the Leviathan as it floated upon the water like the ruler of the sea itself.
The destruction of one of humanity’s greatest naval forces meant absolutely nothing to the ancient beast. It neither celebrated nor looked back.
To it, swallowing the aircraft carrier had been no more difficult than a human swallowing a single mouthful of food.
Standing atop the Leviathan’s massive head were two tiny figures.
Compared to the colossal dragon beneath them, they looked no larger than insects riding a mountain.
Yet the unbelievable truth was that the Leviathan remained perfectly obedient to them. It neither questioned their presence nor their commands.
The ancient sea monster simply continued gliding across the Pacific Ocean while carrying the two demons upon its crowned head.
One of them suddenly burst into laughter before excitedly pointing toward the spot where the warship had disappeared beneath the waves.
"General!"
"Did you see that?"
"Terry swallowed the entire human ship!"
"That was fucking awesome!"
His crimson eyes sparkled with excitement as though he had just witnessed the greatest show of his life. There wasn’t the slightest trace of sympathy inside his voice despite thousands of soldiers having perished only moments ago.
Instead, he clapped his hands together with childlike excitement, grinning from ear to ear while looking down at the Leviathan beneath his feet.
General Malakar never even turned his head.
His expression remained as cold and emotionless as ever while the wind continued blowing through his dark armor.
"Control yourself."
"We have a mission."
"Remember why the Demon King sent us here."
The cheerful demon immediately sighed in disappointment before dramatically throwing both hands behind his head.
"Ah..."
"You’re always so boring, General."
"I still don’t understand why His Majesty even gave us this mission."
"He even let me borrow Terry just to capture one human."
He scratched the back of his head before looking toward the horizon with genuine confusion.
"I seriously don’t know what the Demon King was thinking."
Malakar’s eyes narrowed.
"Do not question the Demon King."
His heavy voice immediately erased the playful atmosphere. Slowly lifting his gaze toward the distant coastline of the Libeus Republic, he silently observed the land for several long seconds. His expression gradually became more serious as an uneasy feeling settled deep inside his chest.
"...Something is wrong."
"I can feel powerful beings dwelling inside that country."
The younger demon instantly leaned forward with excitement.
"Really?"
"Where?"
"Where are they?"
He repeatedly jumped on top of the Leviathan’s head while searching everywhere with exaggerated curiosity.
Without warning...
SMACK!
General Malakar struck the back of his head.
"Can you remain quiet..."
"...for one second?"
His voice carried clear irritation.
"I don’t like this feeling."
The younger demon rubbed the back of his head before laughing carelessly.
"You’re overthinking again."
"Whatever’s waiting over there..."
"I’ll kill them."
"They’re only humans."
Malakar remained silent for a moment before finally nodding.
"Do whatever you want after the mission begins."
"But remember this."
"Our highest priority..."
"...is to capture the human named Yuuta Kounari alive."
The younger demon lazily waved his hand.
"Yeah, yeah."
"I know."
Then a wicked grin slowly spread across his face as he looked toward the endless ocean surrounding the Leviathan.
"I’m right..."
"...aren’t I?"
The Pacific Ocean suddenly exploded with movement.
One after another, gigantic demonic sea creatures burst through the waves. Some resembled monstrous dolphins covered in black scales, while others looked like horrifying serpents and armored sea beasts never before witnessed by humanity.
Thousands of demons stood proudly upon their backs as though riding cavalry across the ocean itself.
Countless banners bearing the crest of the Demon Kingdom fluttered violently in the sea wind while black armor reflected the fading evening sunlight.
An overwhelming army stretched across the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye could see.
The younger demon raised both hands high into the air.
"Hail the Demon King!"
His voice echoed across the ocean.
Instantly...
Thousands of demons answered together.
"HAIL THE DEMON KING!"
"HAIL THE DEMON KING!"
"HAIL THE DEMON KING!"
The ocean itself seemed to tremble beneath the unified roar of the demonic legion.
The younger demon laughed loudly before pointing straight toward the distant continent.
"Let’s go!"
The Leviathan released a thunderous roar before surging forward with terrifying speed, its colossal body cutting through the Pacific Ocean like a living island.
Behind it, thousands upon thousands of demons charged together upon their sea beasts, transforming the calm ocean into an unstoppable black tide racing toward humanity.
The invasion had begun.

Location:- Yuuta Apartment
Place:- Apartment Yard
Elena continued clinging tightly to Yuuta, her tiny fingers refusing to loosen their grip around the back of his shirt as though she feared that the moment she let go, he would disappear again.
Her small body still trembled against his chest, and every few seconds another hiccup escaped her lips before a quiet sniffle followed.
The fear she had experienced refused to leave her so easily.
Yuuta silently continued running his fingers through her silver hair, each gentle stroke meant to reassure her that he was truly here.
Feeling her tiny body shaking because of him filled his heart with guilt, and the cheerful little dragon who was always smiling now looked so frightened that it hurt far more than any wound he had suffered inside the nightmare.
"I’m sorry, Elena," Yuuta whispered softly, his voice carrying nothing but regret.
"Papa scared you... didn’t he?"
Elena remained buried against his chest for several more moments before finally lifting her little head. Tears still clung to her crimson eyes, while her cheeks remained damp from crying. She sniffled once, trying her best to stop herself from crying again before speaking in a tiny, trembling voice.
"Papa scared Elena... Elena didn’t like it."
Yuuta’s heart tightened painfully as he lowered his forehead until it gently rested against hers. He closed his eyes for a brief moment before smiling with guilt still written across his face.
"I’m really sorry," he whispered.
"But aren’t you Papa’s strongest dragon?"
The sadness inside Elena’s little face immediately weakened.
She hurriedly wiped away the remaining tears with the back of her tiny hand before proudly puffing out her chest exactly the way Yuuta had taught her whenever she wanted to be brave.
"Yes!" she answered with a determined nod.
"Elena is Papa’s strongest dragon!"
A genuine smile finally returned to her little face, making Yuuta smile as well.
"That’s right," he said while gently rubbing the top of her head once more.
"You’re the strongest dragon I’ve ever seen."
"Hehe..." Elena giggled proudly. "Elena is happy because Papa came back again."
Yuuta instinctively nodded, still smiling.
"Yeah... Papa came ba...."
The words suddenly stopped halfway through his sentence.
His smile slowly disappeared as confusion replaced it. His brows knitted together while he replayed Elena’s words inside his head. Something about them didn’t make sense.
"...Wait."
He slowly looked down at her.
"What do you mean... Papa came back again?"
Elena sniffled once before pointing toward the two crystal-like stones lying nearby on the grass.
"Papa wasn’t waking up," she explained while rubbing her eyes again. "Papa had scary aura... Papa was shaking... Elena was scared."
Fresh tears threatened to appear again, but she stubbornly blinked them away before continuing.
"So Elena went home... Elena brought these stones..." she said proudly while pointing toward the Aesthor Stones. "Then Papa came back just like before."
Yuuta’s eyes widened.
Slowly, almost cautiously, he reached toward the nearest crystal and lifted it from the grass. The moment it settled inside his palm, his brows furrowed.
Despite its small size, the crystal possessed an unbelievable weight. What had once been completely transparent no longer remained clear.
Deep inside the crystal floated strands of pure black aura, slowly swirling like smoke imprisoned within glass.
Yuuta silently stared at the strange stone for several long seconds. His expression gradually became more serious as countless questions filled his mind. He could clearly recognize that black aura.
It was his.
"...What exactly..." he murmured while continuing to study the crystal. "...is this stone?"
Elena immediately pointed at the crystal with her tiny finger. "Human aunty brought this stone," she answered innocently. "Papa was sleeping and shaking like this Yesterday..." She imitated his trembling body with her little shoulders before continuing.
"Mama and Human aunty helped Papa, then Papa came back."
Yuuta frowned deeply.
"Human aunty?" he repeated, trying to remember who she could possibly be, but no face appeared inside his mind. Then he remembered Fiona.
Elena simply nodded as though it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"Yes. Mama and Human aunty helped Papa. They made Papa wake up again."
Yuuta completely froze.
His fingers unconsciously tightened around the crystal while he desperately searched through his memories. Nothing appeared.
There was no memory of collapsing, no memory of anyone treating him, no memory of waking up after whatever Elena was describing.
His mind remained completely blank, yet that was exactly what terrified him the most. Elena had never lied to him. Not once since they had met.
If she said it happened... then it had happened.
Slowly lowering himself to Elena’s eye level, Yuuta forced a gentle smile onto his face despite the uneasiness growing inside him.
"Elena..." he asked softly,
"are you really sure that happened? Papa doesn’t remember any of it."
Elena looked at him as though he had asked the silliest question imaginable. She puffed out her cheeks before placing both tiny hands on her waist, copying the same little pose Yuuta often made whenever he teased her.
"Papa is silly," she declared confidently. "How will Papa know? Mama removed Papa’s memory."
Those innocent words struck Yuuta harder than any blade ever could.
His eyes slowly widened.
"...Removed..."
"...my memory?"
The words barely escaped his lips before countless fragmented thoughts exploded inside his head. No... that couldn’t be right.
He had suffered from nightmares ever since he was a child. Every doctor had told him they were caused by stress, trauma, or psychological scars.
That explanation had always sounded reasonable. Yet now, after hearing Elena’s words, those years of certainty began crumbling before him.
Then another memory surfaced.
Doctor Jenny.
Every single time his nightmares became unbearable, she would bring out one of these same strange crystals.
She would place it against his forehead, and after that... everything would become peaceful. The nightmares would disappear, his head would feel lighter, and somehow he always accepted it without asking questions. At the time he had believed it was simply medicine.
But now...
Yuuta’s breathing gradually became heavier.
"...No..."
His pupils trembled.
Everyone knew.
That horrifying realization slowly settled inside his heart.
Doctor Jenny knew.
Fiona knew.
Erza knew.
Even Grandpa...
Suddenly another voice echoed clearly inside his mind.
"Because you are weak... you lost control over your own life."
Those words, spoken by Grandpa not long ago, struck him with a completely different meaning now.
Yuuta stood there without moving, the crystal still resting inside his palm while countless emotions clashed inside him.
This... this can’t be true... he thought desperately.
Erza wouldn’t hide something like this from me... would she?
He wanted to reject the possibility immediately, but every piece of evidence continued fitting together one after another.
His nightmares, Doctor Jenny’s mysterious treatment, the Aesthor Stones, the missing memories... everything pointed toward a single truth he didn’t want to accept.
Until now, Yuuta had believed his nightmares were nothing more than stress or some strange medical condition.
Now he realized they had never been ordinary dreams at all.
They were real, and the people closest to him had known about them all along while he remained completely ignorant. The possibility that his own memories had been erased over and over again sent a chill down his spine.
His expression slowly hardened.
Without saying another word, Yuuta gently lifted Elena into his arms.
She instinctively wrapped both little arms around his neck before resting her head against his shoulder, completely trusting him.
As Yuuta walked back toward the apartment, his gaze briefly swept across the shattered Aesthor Stones scattered throughout the yard.
Most of them had already turned black after absorbing his aura, and seeing them only strengthened the suspicion growing inside his heart.
One thing had become painfully clear.
Fiona knew.
Doctor Jenny knew.
Even Erza seemed to know more than she had ever told him.
Had everyone been protecting him...
Or had everyone simply decided he didn’t deserve the truth?
Yuuta had no idea how many times his memories had been erased just to keep that truth away from him, but he no longer intended to remain in the dark. Whatever this Nightmare Trial truly was, whatever secret everyone had been protecting, he would uncover it himself.
And once again...
Fate quietly began moving its next piece.
