Tianji Mountain might hold a leading position, but it could not represent the entire immortal path. This immortal path was vast, filled with countless cultivators.
Chen Changsheng did not know where to start borrowing from.
He simply amplified his voice.
And spoke.
"Fellow daoists."
This single phrase echoed in the ears of every cultivator across the Cultivation World.
"This Chen goes by the name Changsheng. I am but a nobody, yet the elders of Tianji Mountain honored me by appointing me as their mountain master. Though I have never made a name for myself, today I wish to reverse yin and yang, establish the Underworld, recreate Reincarnation, and pioneer the great dao. My strength falls short, however. Therefore, I ask the human dao, the demon path, the immortal path, the Ghost Dao, and the Buddhist dao for assistance. Lend me your qi destiny to suppress the Yellow Springs!"
"For what I ask today, This Chen will certainly offer generous recompense in the future. I hope you fellow daoists will lend me a helping hand."
"This Chen offers his deepest thanks."
Upon hearing this, the cultivators found it absolutely unbelievable.
What was this man trying to do?
Recreate Reincarnation?!
This was something they would never have dared to imagine.
Looking down at the sword in his hand, one cultivator couldn't help but murmur, "Is this the difference between myself and a senior..."
Lifting his head again, he declared, "The senior's fortune is extraordinary. I naturally ought to help!"
Within Xuanjiu Immortal Mountain.
When the Sect Master True Man heard this, he was dazed for a moment.
He raised his hand, and a wisp of qi destiny rose and shot into the distance.
"I hope Mister achieves the dao in a single stroke!"
Countless immortal mountains and Immortal Sects responded. Even Rogue Cultivators wandering the outside world were deeply shocked by this grand endeavor and willing to lend a hand. Losing a little qi destiny would not hurt them; they simply wanted to witness for themselves whether this man could truly reverse yin and yang and suppress the Yellow Springs.
Of course, there were also those unwilling to help. Qi destiny was precious; to them, there was no need to give it away to a complete stranger.
"Chen Changsheng?"
"Never heard of him."
Many responded, but there were also plenty of cultivators who simply glossed over it, not caring in the least.
But even so, the qi destiny he gathered was more than enough.
Seeing the starlight of qi destiny converging from all directions, Chen Changsheng took a deep breath. "Thank you, everyone," he said.
As the qi destiny gathered into his palm, Chen Changsheng's figure transformed into a streak of azure light and sped away.
...
At a Buddhist Immortal Mountain.
Beneath a snow-capped mountain that pierced the clouds, in a land blooming with mulberry flowers.
The pure realm was stark white, accompanied by the gentle murmur of Sanskrit chants.
An old monk draped in a kasaya, twirling a Prayer Bead in his fingers, gazed into the distance.
A vulture flew past, leaving a fleeting, breathtaking silhouette against the pure blue sky.
A Buddhist disciple beside him asked, "Honored Lord, is something wrong with the sky?"
The old monk exhaled softly and said, "For the time being, no."
"Does the Honored Lord mean the sky is about to change?"
"Amitabha."
The old monk pressed his palms together and said, "Our Buddhist Schools have stood within this pure realm of snowy mountains, keeping our doors closed for many years to bitterly cultivate the Dharma. Yet, we have not perfected the great dao, and so we never stepped outside. Today, a senior has made a request, seeking to borrow the qi destiny of our Buddhist Schools to pacify the Yellow Springs and recreate Reincarnation."
The disciple was stunned for a moment before asking, "What does the Honored Lord intend to do?"
The old monk replied, "This poor monk went through Reincarnation a hundred times. In my final lifetime, I retained my humanity, and thanks to the guidance of that senior, I was able to achieve this Supreme Buddhist Body. That senior was once this poor monk's teacher."
The disciple grew bewildered and asked, "Even the Honored Lord can harbor selfish desires?"
The old monk offered a warm smile. "Why wouldn't I? A Buddhist appearance and a Buddhist heart, much like the immortals, are always accompanied by the word 'human.' As long as one is human, there will be selfish desires. Amish, you are clinging too much to appearances."
The disciple froze, then hurriedly lowered his head and chanted, "Amitabha."
The old monk raised his hand, and the qi destiny of the Buddhist Schools flew far away.
This old monk once had many names. To him, across those hundred lifetimes in Reincarnation, the one that left the deepest impression was his final life, when he had been a murderous brute.
In that life, he was named...
Feng Feiyu.
He once had a master, surnamed Chen, named Chen Changsheng.
...
Where did the Ghost Dao come from?
The Ghost Dao was not merely the path of dark spirits; it was more accurately the path of ghosts and gods.
The various mountain gods, the city gods of various places, and the water gods of every river.
Chen Changsheng had initially wanted to borrow from them, but after thinking it over, he decided against it. The path of ghosts and gods inherently existed between yin and yang. If he failed to suppress the Yellow Springs, this path of ghosts and gods might perish as a result.
Therefore, he gave up on the idea.
Right at this moment, however, someone offered their help.
A wisp of qi destiny arrived from Qiuyue Fang, trailing alongside the rest of the gathered qi destiny.
In Qiuyue Fang.
Hong Sancai gazed at the City God Idol, having made his decision long ago.
This was the last thing he should be doing.
But he did it anyway—not just to repay past favors, but for the friendship they had shared chatting in that Daoist temple from the very beginning up until today.
That bond had always remained.
Incomparably pure.
Hong Sancai said, "May Mister Chen achieve all that his heart desires."
Situated in the Yellow Springs, Chen Changsheng sensed this.
He softly murmured, "Thank you."
The qi destiny of every path rested in his palm.
When Chen Changsheng opened his eyes again, the qi destiny wreathed his body.
His gaze fell upon the formless Yellow Springs.
Now, the situation would be reversed.
"The human dao in the front, the Ghost Dao in the back, the Buddhist dao to the left, the demon path to the right, the immortal path above, and my dao right here!"
"Boundless Yellow Springs, yin and yang follow in tandem!"
"Today, I suppress the Yellow Springs and transform it into freedom. This Chen shall draw the waters of the Yellow Springs to connect with the Mortal World, to deliver ghosts and deliver myself, and recreate Reincarnation!"
"There shall be an Underworld and a Netherworld to perfect the Reincarnation of the world. Ox-Head and Horse-Face shall guide souls into the earth. Meng Po shall guard the bridge to erase the memories of this life. The Judge shall wield the brush to reward good and punish evil. King Yama shall hold the seal to decide life and death..."
"Before the Stone of Three Lifetimes, through past and present lives, the boundless blur of yin and yang shall become clear!"
"Suppress!"
As Chen Changsheng's voice fell, aided by the qi destiny of all paths, the entirety of the Yellow Springs lost all room to resist in that very moment.
Chen Changsheng raised two fingers and took a deep breath.
"Draw!"
The laws of the Yellow Springs were completely absorbed into his palm.
He lifted his Immortal Sword, channeling the waters of the Yellow Springs.
"Open the Gate of the Yellow Springs, return to yang! Draw the waters!"
...
Within Shangjing City.
The roar of tempestuous, stormy waves suddenly rang out.
People looked up, only to see murky yellow water surging straight into the heavens.
"What is that..."
"The Heavenly River has burst its banks! The Heavenly River has burst!"
"Run!"
The commoners were terrified, fleeing in all directions.
Yet the murky yellow torrent never fell. Instead, as if guided by an unseen hand, it gradually drifted farther away. It left Shangjing City, crossing the lands of the Mortal World, and headed straight toward a land of nothingness.
The waters of the Yellow Springs diverted, cascading into various City God Temples.
Carving a new path through that realm of nothingness.
...
Within the Demon Domain.
Manyue said, "It's here..."
Then came a thunderous boom.
The waters of the Yellow Springs plummeted into the realm like a heavenly river cascading downward.
Before long, the Desolate Plains and hills were entirely submerged by the waters of the Yellow Springs, seemingly transformed into a vast ocean.
The Evil Phoenix looked over, lifting its head as it murmured, "I told you he could do it."
Manyue exhaled in relief but added, "What comes next is the real trouble."
The Evil Phoenix stood up and said, "Help him out. Hold the line for a while, and when the time comes, I'll finish it."
Manyue's expression was grave as she replied, "I will do my best."
