Immortal World : MILF Dual Cultivation

Chapter 37: The New Supervisor & The Remaining Flaw

The morning sun filtered through the floor of the Special Supervisor’s private office.

Lin Tian sat comfortably behind a massive, polished desk carved from a single slab of petrified spiritual cedar. In its place, he wore impeccably tailored, dark obsidian silk robes embroidered with faint silver runes.

He leaned back into the plush spirit-beast leather chair, his dark eyes calmly scanning the heavy, gold-bound ledgers stacked neatly on his desk.

A timid, trembling knock echoed from the heavy cedar doors, interrupting his thoughts.

"Enter," Lin Tian said, his voice a calm, resonant hum.

The heavy doors creaked open just enough to allow a senior Outer Disciple to squeeze through. The young man, who was a Qi Gathering Level 3 cultivator, was sweating profusely. His knees were visibly knocking together as he approached the desk, bowing at a steep, perfectly rigid ninety-degree angle.

"S-Supervisor Lin," the disciple stammered, his voice cracking with sheer terror. He held a jade slip high above his head with both trembling hands. "T-These are the monthly inventory reports from the low-grade pill treasury, as requested. Please review them at your convenience."

"Leave it on the desk," Lin Tian finally commanded, his tone completely devoid of emotion.

"Y-Yes, Supervisor! Right away, Supervisor!" The disciple hurriedly placed the jade slip on the edge of the cedar wood, bowed three more times, and practically sprinted backward out of the room, shutting the door tightly behind him.

Lin Tian chuckled softly in the empty room. Power was an intoxicating drug.

A few moments later, the heavy cedar doors opened once more.

This time, the entrant did not knock.

Madam Shen glided into the office, her presence immediately dropping the ambient temperature by a fraction of a degree. She was dressed in her official Head Manager attire—luxurious, deep crimson silk robes embroidered with golden phoenixes that hugged her mature, voluptuous hourglass figure perfectly.

However, the moment she closed the heavy doors behind her, her hand reached out and tapped a hidden rune on the wall. A faint, translucent blue barrier shimmered across the room, sealing the office with a high-tier soundproofing array.

The instant the array activated, the icy, authoritative mask on Madam Shen’s face completely shattered.

The cold Queen vanished, replaced instantly by a woman swimming in a heavy, intoxicating haze of absolute devotion. Her sharp eyes softened into puddles of desperate worship. She bypassed the guest chairs entirely, walking straight around the massive desk to stand beside Lin Tian.

Without a single word, the Head Manager of the Resource Hall gracefully sank to her knees on the plush carpet.

"Master," Madam Shen whispered, her voice a soft, sultry purr that dripped with submission. She rested her cheek gently against Lin Tian’s thigh, wrapping her pale, delicate arms around his waist. "The morning audits are complete. The disciples are terrified of you. No one dares to question your authority, and the Wang family is in complete chaos. My husband is currently in secluded cultivation.

"You handled the transition flawlessly, Shen," Lin Tian praised, his large, calloused hand reaching down to gently stroke her hair.

Madam Shen let out a soft, breathy moan at his touch, subconsciously nuzzling her face deeper into his palm like a starved addict receiving her fix. Her 95% Obsession Level wasn’t a mere suggestion; it was an absolute, spiritual tether that bound her very soul to his Yang energy.

"Everything I do is for you, Master," she murmured, gazing up at him with dilated, worshipful eyes.

Lin Tian smiled, feeling the terrifyingly dense, refined Qi coursing through his own newly expanded meridians. Thanks to their intense Yin-Yang Synergy in the subterranean cell, he was now sitting firmly at Qi Gathering Level 5, possessing the explosive force of the [Primordial Yang-Tyrant Body].

"System," Lin Tian commanded mentally. "Activate Insight Eye. Run a deep diagnostic on the target’s foundation."

Instantly, the opulent office faded into the background. A glowing digital mesh mapped itself over Madam Shen’s kneeling, voluptuous form, penetrating past her skin and muscle to reveal her glowing spiritual network.

[Target: Madam Shen]

[Age: 38 | Cultivation: Qi Gathering Level 9 (Peak)]

[Obsession Level: 95% (Extreme Devotion)]

Lin Tian’s eyes scanned the data smoothly, but a sudden, flashing yellow warning box materialized in the center of his vision.

[Warning: Diagnostic Incomplete. Remaining Structural Flaw Detected.]

[Flaw Analysis: Frost-Yin Blockage has been 100% eradicated. However, the target endured the corrosive ice for ten years. The prolonged exposure has caused a 40% structural degradation to the Dantian’s foundation. The ’Frost-Yin Root’ cavity remains.]

[Prognosis: If the core cavity is not permanently sealed with a high-tier Yang-attribute catalyst, the target’s cultivation will permanently stagnate, and she may suffer a fatal core collapse within the next two years due to the sudden vacuum of Yin energy.]

[Recommended Catalyst: Yang-Fire Crystal (High-Grade).]

Lin Tian’s predatory smile vanished, replaced by a cold,Even his Yang essence was unable to repair the damaged dantian. He immediately deactivated the visual overlay, returning his focus to the physical world.

He had successfully purged the corruption, but before it was destroyed, it had already damaged a portion of Madam Shen’s meridians. If he wanted Madam Shen to remain his powerful, flawless proxy—and eventually help her break through to the Foundation Establishment Realm to grant him even greater power—he needed to repair the damage to her meridians.

"Shen," Lin Tian said, his tone shifting into absolute seriousness.

"Yes, Master?" She looked up, sensing the shift in his aura immediately.

"The blockage is healed, but the damage it caused to your Dantian over the past decade has left a cavity in your foundation," Lin Tian explained, "Your core is fundamentally unstable. To permanently repair your foundation and prepare you for the Foundation Establishment realm, I need a specific catalyst."

He looked her directly in the eyes. "I need a ’Yang-Fire Crystal’."

Madam Shen’s beautiful eyes widened in surprise, and a slight tremor ran through her kneeling body.

"A Yang-Fire Crystal?" she repeated, her voice laced with sudden apprehension. "Master... that is an incredibly rare and highly restricted terrestrial treasure. The Crimson Nimbus Sect’s premium vaults do not carry such an item. It is a material strictly regulated by the Inner Sect Elders because of its volatile, explosive nature."

"If it’s not in the sect’s official vaults, then where can it be found?" Lin Tian asked, his voice calm but unyielding. He knew this world operated on black markets and shadow economies just as much as Earth did.

Madam Shen hesitated, biting her lower lip. "There is only one place in this entire region where such a restricted, high-tier contraband item might surface. But Master... it is an incredibly dangerous place. It exists completely outside the jurisdiction and laws of the orthodox sects."

"Tell me," Lin Tian commanded softly, his fingers tightening slightly in her hair.

"District 59," Madam Shen whispered, her eyes reflecting a genuine, deep-seated fear for his safety. "The Underground Ghost Market. It is a sprawling, subterranean black market built into the ruins of an ancient, collapsed mining colony far beneath the surface city. It is a lawless abyss."

She leaned her chest heavily against his legs, pleading with him. "Master, the Ghost Market is controlled by ruthless mercenary bands, rogue cultivators, demon-beast poachers, and even demonic practitioners who hide from the orthodox sects. There are no Disciplinary Guards down there. Murder, theft, and assassination are daily occurrences. Even as a Head Manager, my authority means absolutely nothing in the dark."

Lin Tian leaned back in his plush leather chair, digesting the information.

A lawless underground labyrinth. A black market where orthodox rules did not apply. A place where strength, cunning, and ruthlessness were the only currencies that mattered.

For a pampered, arrogant young master like Helian Lie or Wang, such a place would be a terrifying nightmare. They relied on their family names and sect badges to shield them from the true brutality of the world. But for Lin Tian?

Lin Tian had spent years digging through the toxic, cutthroat slums of the Artifact Graveyard. He had survived by hiding in the shadows, building crude traps, and fighting desperate scavengers over rusted scraps of metal.

He was not a greenhouse flower. He was a predator born in the dark.

A slow, chilling smile stretched across Lin Tian’s handsome face, revealing a glimmer of his white teeth. The Vulture inside him, awakened with a ravenous hunger.

"A lawless zone devoid of sect rules," Lin Tian murmured, his dark eyes gleaming with a dangerous, stellar light. "Where no one cares who lives, who dies, or what methods are used to achieve victory."

"Master, please," Madam Shen whimpered, her extreme devotion making her terrified of him taking such a risk. "Your cultivation has only just reached Level 5. The mercenaries down there are seasoned killers. If you are discovered seeking something as valuable as a Yang-Fire Crystal..."

"Hush, Shen," Lin Tian interrupted softly, placing a single, warm finger over her ruby lips.

"You forget where I come from," Lin Tian whispered, leaning down so his face was inches from hers. making her breath hitch. "The orthodox sect with its bright courtyards, strict rules, and public tribunals... that is the environment that feels unnatural to me."

He stood up,He walked toward the large jade-lattice window, looking out over the sprawling, sunlit pavilions of the Crimson Nimbus Sect, before casting his gaze toward the distant, hazy mountains where the entrances to the deep underground lay hidden.

"A lawless, dark abyss filled with desperate killers and hidden treasures?" Lin Tian chuckled, a low, resonant sound that vibrated with pure confidence and deadly intent.

He turned his head slightly, looking back at his kneeling, devoted servant.

"That isn’t a danger zone, Shen," Lin Tian said, his eyes turning cold and predatory. "That is my natural habitat."
