Immortal World : MILF Dual Cultivation

Chapter 41: The Underground Death Pits

The roar of the Death Pits wasn’t just sound. It pressed against the chest like physical weight.

Buried at the core of District 59, the arena sat in a massive crater cut straight into bedrock. The air carried blood, cheap alcohol, and the ozone tang of spent Qi.

Lin Tian stood at the registration cage, his scarred face lost in the shadow of his hood.

"Sign in blood, fresh meat." The bookie’s mechanical eye whirred, zooming in on him. "Rules of the Well of Death are simple. There are none. No forbidden techniques. No mercy. Fight ends when someone stops breathing, or breaks too badly to beg. Winner takes the purse. Loser goes to the incinerator. Name?"

"The Vulture." His voice came out rough under the mask. He bit his thumb and pressed a drop of blood onto the glowing parchment.

"Alright, Vulture. Pit B, three minutes. Hope you brought a coffin." The bookie tossed a rusted token stamped ’88’ across the counter.

He took it and walked down the moss-slicked tunnel toward the arena. The crowd’s roar shook the stone under his boots.

He stepped out into blood-red spotlights.

The arena floor stretched wide, dark sand stained permanent brown from decades of slaughter. Steel walls ringed the pit, built to keep chaotic Qi from tearing through the stands above.

"Entering Pit B!" The announcer’s voice shook the cavern. "A newcomer to the sands — The Vulture! But he’ll need more than wings to survive his first flight, because tonight he faces the meat-grinder of the lower brackets — The Slaughtering Mountain!"

The crowd screamed as the far portcullis screeched open.

What stepped out barely counted as human. Nearly eight feet tall, shirtless, skin stretched over a grotesque, swollen frame. Black veins crawled across gray skin like something feeding underneath.

Someone had been pumping this man full of knock-off strengthening drugs for a long time.

The giant cracked his knuckles, iron gauntlets crusted with old blood. No weapon needed.

Lin Tian stood still, hands loose at his sides. No aura display. No posturing. Just a predator taking measurements.

System. Activate [Insight Eye]. Full biomechanical scan.

The overlay bloomed into view, mapping the giant’s skin transparent, revealing bone and spiritual circuitry beneath.

[Target: ’The Slaughtering Mountain’]

[Cultivation: Qi Gathering Level 6 (Highly Unstable)]

[Physiological Analysis: Target has heavily abused low-grade biochemical stimulants to artificially inflate muscle mass by 300%.]

[Fatal Flaw Detected: Square-Cube Law violation. The target’s sheer upper-body mass is completely disproportionate to his skeletal foundation.]

[System Recommendation: Avoid direct kinetic confrontation. Exploit the compromised structural integrity of the target’s lower fulcrum points.]

A meathead who traded his foundation for a scary silhouette. His knees were counting down already.

"I’M GOING TO CRUSH YOUR SKULL, LITTLE BIRD!" The giant’s roar shook sand loose from the walls.

He charged, no technique behind it, just mass. The ground shuddered with every step. Iron fists gathered a swirl of filthy yellow Qi, winding up for a strike meant to end this in one hit.

The crowd screamed for the finish.

Lin Tian didn’t move. He didn’t gather Qi to meet the blow.

Only when the fists were inches away did he act.

Not magic. Physics.

Leverage. Momentum. Redirection.

He dropped his center of gravity and slid under the arc. The giant’s own momentum carried the fists through empty air, gouging a crater into the sand where he’d stood a heartbeat earlier.

The giant couldn’t stop that fast. His weight forced his right leg down hard, planting to brake his own forward crash.

That planted leg carried a thousand pounds of moving mass. Rigid. Overloaded.

Exactly the variable he’d been waiting for.

He pivoted on his heel, driving the force of his [Primordial Yang-Tyrant Body] into a horizontal kick aimed straight at the side of that planted knee.

Hit a load-bearing pillar sideways while it’s under maximum compression, and it doesn’t bend. It fails completely.

CRACK.

The knee inverted. Ligaments and cartilage, already pushed past their limit by the drugs, gave out under the sideways force.

"GAAAAAAAH!"

The giant’s scream tore through the cavern. His leg folded backward like something broken clean in half. His whole upper body pitched forward, falling.

The crowd’s cheering died into a collective gasp.

Lin Tian didn’t stop. He stepped into the fall, grabbing the giant’s flailing arm at the wrist and the tricep.

He used the momentum against him, twisting his hips and throwing the giant clean over his shoulder.

Eight feet, a thousand pounds — airborne, then slamming spine-first into the sand hard enough to rattle the stands.

Before the giant’s nervous system caught up with what had happened, Lin Tian was already airborne himself, boot driving down like a dropped weight.

SNAP.

The other kneecap went, pulverized on impact.

The giant spasmed, mouth open in a silent scream, body no longer taking orders from a brain overloaded with pain.

Lin Tian stood over him, breathing even. He grabbed a fistful of hair, lifted the giant’s face, and threw one clean punch to the temple.

THUMP.

The giant’s eyes rolled back. His body went slack in the sand.

Unconscious. Alive. Exactly the amount of force needed for one, not the other — he wasn’t here to draw the kind of attention a corpse would bring.

Silence swallowed the arena. Thousands of hardened gamblers stared down at Pit B, unable to process what they’d just watched.

Four seconds. No spiritual clash, no flashy technique. Just calculated brutality that had dismantled a Level 6 fighter without spending a drop of Qi.

Then the silence broke.

The crowd erupted, stomping, screaming, hurling betting slips into the air.

"THE VULTURE! THE VULTURE! THE VULTURE!"

The chant spread through the cavern fast, rhythmic, hungry.

Lin Tian wiped blood off his gauntlet and walked back toward the tunnel, unmoved by the noise behind him.

High above the crowd, sealed behind one-way spiritual glass, the private boxes of District 59’s true power brokers looked down on the arena.

In the grandest of them, a woman reclined on a velvet chaise, watching the tunnel where the newcomer had just disappeared. She was breathtakingly beautiful, possessing a dangerous, mature allure that was entirely different from the strict, icy authority of Madam Shen

Lady Yun was forty-five years old, yet she possessed the flawless, porcelain skin of a woman half her age. She was dressed in a dark purple silk cheongsam that hugged her voluptuous, hourglass curves with suffocating tightness. The dress featured a daringly high slit that proudly displayed a pair of long, flawless, jade-like legs, and a plunging neckline that struggled to contain her heavy, generous cleavage.

She held a long, thin pipe carved from dark spirit-bone, taking a slow, elegant drag of glowing violet incense. She exhaled a thin stream of fragrant, intoxicating smoke, her eyes narrowing as she watched the figure in the tattered black cloak walk back into the tunnels.

Her eyes, lined with dark, smoky makeup, held the sharp, predatory gleam of a seasoned huntress who had just spotted a truly unique, exotic prize.

"Fascinating," Lady Yun purred, her voice a rich, velvety hum that vibrated with dark amusement. "No wasted movement. No flashy spiritual arts to stroke his own ego. Just pure, mechanical efficiency and an absolute understanding of anatomical weaknesses. He didn’t just beat The Slaughtering Mountain; he dismantled him like an old clockwork toy."

She shifted her position, her long, bare leg crossing over the other, the silk of her cheongsam parting to offer a tantalizing glimpse of her smooth, porcelain thigh.

A hulking, armored guard standing motionless by the door bowed his head respectfully. "My Lady. Shall I have the bookies investigate his background? He registered under the alias ’The Vulture’. He has no prior record in the fighting pits."

"Do not bother with the bookies," Lady Yun murmured, bringing the bone pipe to her ruby-red lips once more. A strange, unfamiliar heat began to stir deep within her chest. It had been years since any man had managed to genuinely pique her interest. The men of the ghost market were brutal, crude thugs, but this ’Vulture’ possessed a cold, terrifying intellect that resonated with her own dark nature.

"I want to see him up close. I want to look into those dead, cynical eyes myself," Lady Yun commanded, a dark, thirsty smile curving her beautiful lips. "When he collects his purse, send my personal guards to escort him. Bring The Vulture to my private lounge."
