In Naruto With Gacha Template

Chapter 263 - 267: Tsunade Is Pregnant (Finale)

The moon hung high.

Nonou and Kushina had drifted off, both worn out.

Natsuki got out of bed, pulled on a robe, and opened a doorway.

He stepped through into Tsunade’s room.

She was lying on her side, apparently sound asleep.

Natsuki slid in behind her and put his arms around her, and found himself smiling.

"You’re interrupting my sleep again," Tsunade grunted, frowning.

"You were clearly waiting up for me, Tsunade-sensei." Natsuki rested a hand against her heart. "Your pulse doesn’t lie."

Tsunade had no counterargument available, so she elbowed him instead.

Natsuki winced.

"Nawaki’s moving next door tomorrow," she said, once she’d caught her breath.

"Thank you for handling it, Tsunade-sensei." Natsuki pulled her in tighter.

"It’s your fault he knows about us now." She rolled her eyes.

Natsuki paused. He hadn’t expected that.

But it was good news. It meant she wasn’t nearly as immovable on the subject as she’d been. If she could tell Nawaki, she could tell anyone.

He was delighted about it, and Tsunade paid the price.

The next morning.

Natsuki ran into Nawaki on the way to the kitchen, coming out of his room.

They both stopped.

Nawaki opened his mouth, thought better of it, and settled for a thumbs-up.

In fairness, managing his sister was a genuine accomplishment. Nawaki had assumed more than once that Tsunade would stay single until the end of time.

Natsuki blinked, then laughed.

At breakfast, Nawaki announced he was moving out that day.

"Why all of a sudden?" Kushina asked.

"He’s grown up. He should have his own place," Tsunade said for him.

"Wait — does Nawaki have a girlfriend he’s been hiding?" Kushina’s eyes lit up.

Nawaki started coughing violently.

Tsunade went very still.

"Did I get it?" Kushina asked, genuinely surprised.

Nonou looked over as well. She couldn’t recall Nawaki spending time with anyone.

"No." Nawaki shook his head. "If I had a girlfriend I wouldn’t hide it. I’d tell you."

He finished the sentence and got a look from Tsunade for it.

He picked up his chopsticks, face perfectly neutral. "Let me eat."

"We’ll help you move after breakfast," Natsuki offered.

"No need, go to work." Nawaki waved it off. "I’ve barely got anything. I’ll manage."

Nobody pushed.

Night fell.

With Nawaki gone, Natsuki became noticeably less restrained about where he conducted himself, which did not please Tsunade at all — though her displeasure never lasted very long.

The year ran out.

The training ground near the Hokage’s building.

Natsuki wove seals and raised the Six Red Yang Formation, and a barrier sealed off the entire ground.

Konan, Pakura, and Mikoto formed seals in unison.

The Yin Seals on their foreheads released, and chakra came pouring out without any apparent end.

In an instant, white chakra cloaks enveloped all three of them — not the partial Tailed Beast cloak, with its tails, but something that fit like clothing.

Six Paths Sage Mode.

In the original story, this was what Naruto had unlocked after receiving all nine Tailed Beasts and a portion of the Sage of Six Paths’ chakra.

Natsuki had reverse-engineered it and supplied the three of them with the corresponding chakra himself.

If the Sage of Six Paths could do it, so could he. His strength had passed the Sage’s some time ago.

And Tailed Beast power was hardly a bottleneck — he held two God Trees, which amounted to two Ten-Tails, or two complete sets of beasts.

[Congratulations! Host has unlocked Yhwach’s Template Ability 3: The Almighty.]

The line hit him like a jolt.

Finally.

So resisting the Otsutsuki had required nine Six Paths-level individuals.

Or — not nine, exactly. It had required him, plus a demonstrated capacity to manufacture more of them.

The Almighty wasn’t true omniscience. It could be interfered with.

For Natsuki’s purposes it was more than enough. He could look at whatever future he wanted to look at.

He thought for a moment and started immediately.

First: Momoshiki, Urashiki, and Kinshiki.

In Boruto, there had been a plotline where Urashiki traveled into the past using Karasuki. It hadn’t happened here. Natsuki suspected his own butterfly effect had removed both the means and the opening.

If so, Urashiki would die alongside the other two.

A moment later, images formed.

Natsuki smiled.

They showed him killing all three when they descended.

He’d expected as much. Seeing it settled the last of the question.

Once those three were gone, the world would get another long stretch of peace.

The threat wouldn’t be gone entirely — the clan was still out there. But by then he’d have the Majin Buu template fully unlocked, which made the clan a manageable problem.

He dismissed the images.

Using The Almighty occasionally was fine. Overusing it would strip the future of any anticipation at all.

Still, after a moment’s thought, he looked once more.

This time: whether he and Tsunade would marry.

The images came quickly, and Natsuki let out a breath.

They married. Kushina, Mikoto, and Nonou all attended.

The life he’d wanted was going to happen.

He shut The Almighty off. He’d learned the two things he actually wanted to know. Everything else could stay a surprise.

"How does it feel?" Natsuki came back to the present and looked at the three of them.

"Stronger than I’ve ever been." Pakura was radiant.

She valued raw power more than Konan or Mikoto did — as Kazekage, she needed enough of it to hold authority over the Sand. Her strength had been good before, but never overwhelming. Against Chiyo, or Ryaku, or Sasori, there had been real risk.

Not anymore. Pakura suspected that all of them together couldn’t take her now.

Konan and Mikoto weren’t thinking along those lines at all. Their reasoning was simpler: stronger meant they could carry more of Natsuki’s workload.

Their strength had come from him in the first place, after all.

"If anything feels wrong, come find me immediately," Natsuki said.

He had considerable confidence in the Six Paths Sage Mode he’d built. But it was being used by the three of them, so caution was warranted.

They nodded and let the mode drop.

"Pakura, it’s rare for you to be in Konoha. The four of us should go review some paperwork in my office."

The three of them went briefly rigid.

Pakura glared at him. Konan and Mikoto colored slightly.

None of them said no.

A doorway opened, and Natsuki held out his arms. All three stepped into them — Pakura stepping deliberately on his foot on the way — and the four of them went through.

Five years went by.

It was the start of another Academy term, and compared to five years ago the scale was several times what it had been.

The reason was simple. School-age children from every corner of the shinobi world came to Konoha’s Academy now.

The Academy had been expanded repeatedly, growing dozens of times over into something closer to a city within a city.

Natsuki understood what education was worth. Especially with the world developing this fast, and starved for trained people.

"Uncle Natsuki!"

He turned and found Minato with his son.

Namikaze Naruto had gotten his father’s temperament and come out cheerful — not unlike the Naruto of the original story, in fact.

"Minato. Bringing him to register?"

"Mm." Minato nodded. "First day. I was worried he’d get lost."

"Dad, I told you, you didn’t have to come!" Naruto complained. "How would I get lost?"

"Right, right. You won’t get lost." Minato produced his trademark smile.

"Go get him registered," Natsuki said.

"Mm." Minato nodded, then remembered something. "Natsuki. You need to get moving on that, you know."

"Soon. Soon."

Minato said nothing further and towed Naruto off toward Class 1-A.

Natsuki stroked his chin.

He hadn’t been taking any precautions lately, so barring accidents, news was due shortly.

Mostly because the Konoha Twelve were already five and six years old. There was no sense in putting it off any longer.

"Lord Hokage." Hyuga Hiashi came over.

Natsuki’s eyes went to the small girl behind him. Hyuga Hinata.

"Hinata. Say hello," Hiashi prompted.

"H-hello, Lord Hokage." She said it to the ground.

"Good girl." Natsuki patted her head.

Hiashi relaxed visibly. He’d been quietly worried that Hinata’s temperament might not sit well with Natsuki. Apparently not.

By the end of the pleasantries, he’d even started hoping Hinata might one day become Natsuki’s student.

Given Natsuki’s strength and standing, that would be a rocket to the top. One only had to look at Might Guy, Kurenai, Shizune, and Shisui — all four already the standouts of Konoha’s new generation, and all four certain to end up at the top of the village.

At nine, the opening ceremony began.

Natsuki walked out onto the stage, and the crowd erupted.

He hadn’t taken the field once in five years, and his standing had only climbed — because the world had gone so well.

It was approaching the standard of his previous life now, with new and useful things appearing faster than anyone could track them. The older generation of shinobi felt as though an entire era had passed and left them behind in an unfamiliar world.

The new generation, meanwhile, was flourishing.

Everyone believed the future would be better still.

Provided Natsuki didn’t die.

There were shinobi who hoped he would. They came from other villages, and they had no idea he was already beyond dying. In time they’d work it out, and there would be nothing to do with the knowledge but accept it.

A century on, their descendants would have forgotten about revenge entirely, and would want nothing more than to belong to Konoha.

Natsuki swept the crowd, and his gaze settled on Class 1-A.

This year’s Class 1-A was a remarkable collection of talent.

Konoha had Namikaze Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, Hyuga Hinata, Yamanaka Ino, and most of the Konoha Twelve. The Stone had Kurotsuchi. The Mist had Hozuki Suigetsu.

Only the Sand had no famous names among the new intake. By rights Gaara should have been there — but thanks to Natsuki’s interference, he’d never had the chance to be born.

Temari had enrolled two years earlier.

Natsuki raised a hand, and the Academy went quiet.

He smiled and delivered the standard remarks. It didn’t take long, and he left the rest of the morning to the school.

He returned to the Hokage’s office and found Tsunade sitting in his chair, looking thunderous.

Slightly thrown, he came over.

"Tsunade-sensei. Who’s upset you?" Natsuki pulled her toward him.

"You," she said, glancing up.

"I haven’t done anything!" Natsuki protested his innocence immediately.

"Nothing, he says." Tsunade got an elbow into his ribs. "Then explain why I’m pregnant."

"You’re pregnant?"

Natsuki froze — and then joy hit him all at once.

"I knew it was deliberate." One look at his face was all the confirmation Tsunade needed about his recent conduct.

"Look, Minato’s kid is five years old. If I still don’t have one, people will start talking." Natsuki sounded entirely sincere. "Thank you, Tsunade-sensei."

"I really am too soft on you." She rolled her eyes.

"Well, since you’re pregnant, let’s get married next month." Seeing she wasn’t actually angry, Natsuki pressed straight ahead.

"You planned this from the start." Tsunade said it through her teeth.

Once the child arrived, the child would need a name and a standing. Marrying Natsuki was, when she thought it through, simply the correct solution. It wasn’t as though she could avoid telling her own child who its parents were.

Natsuki didn’t say anything. He just leaned in and kissed her.

Tsunade let herself lean into it, and everything neither of them had said was understood anyway.
