Thalia’s actions were concealed enough that even her trusted members did not know her plans. She had to be cautious. While she trusted the members not to betray her, but under the control of a higher being, it was a possibility she needed to avoid.

At first, she had not suspected Mitchel or the Blue Guild, but after regaining her memories, there was a long list of reasons to suspect Mitchel of Rise’s disappearance.

Not to mention Epsilon entering his guild, his feelings for Rise were also obvious. It was even more so when Kamille specifically targeted the Blue Guild, and Mitchel was nowhere to be found.

How could he not participate in finding Rise? There was no way. He had to be part of this.

She thought that since everything that was happening was not part of her memory, she needed less than a week or more to pinpoint where Rise was. To her surprise, she only needed a day!

"Are you sure you saw this Blue Guild member there?" Thalia asked through a private channel.

Hearing his confirmation, Thalia’s eyes gleamed, and she soon hung up. Her eyes looked at the sent document to her, with photos. While the informant did not see Mitchel or even Rise, they saw an important member of Blue Guild and her squad lingering around the area.

Thalia tapped on her table, becoming certain that Rise was confined there. Even if it was not, Thalia could gather some clues directly from them and the place.

Why was it so easy? She doubted at first if it was a trap. Yet, she soon realized the reason. Her eyes lit up at the realization.

Kamille...

Thalia smiled slightly. Her good teammate was doing his best to get all the attention of the world and the author. Her last update on his situation was always worse than the last time.

Calling Kamille on a rampage at this moment was an understatement. The Union even raised the danger alarm to the highest level and called for the guild leaders.

Thalia was one of them, but she delayed it.

There were even rumors that Kamille was a noble, but it had yet to be confirmed. Still, Thalia was seeing the same situation, but from a different person.

Instead of Rise, who was under the world’s crusade, it was Kamille.

Thalia took a deep breath. Her gentle expression turned solemn. This was a good opportunity. Without the higher being’s attention, Thalia could save Rise.

As for fighting Mitchel... heh, Thalia was no weaker than he was. And for sure, Rise would not let Mitchel in his prime. Thinking of this, Thalia’s lips twitched into a smile.

Let’s do this.

Thalia planned to set off on her own. She could not let anyone find it out, or she risked the plan getting awry. After all, this was not her first time dealing with a being that was beyond common sense.

Although Thalia had decided to save Rise, she did not immediately proceed with her plan. She let two days pass, preparing and making sure nothing was wrong or the information was not a trap.

Kamille gave her an opportunity. The other did not know what she was doing, but he had been a big help to her. Because of another big commotion of his, Thalia managed to sneak out of the Guild headquarters.

Thalia was not sure what Kamille did this time, but it was massive enough to forcibly conscript most of the nearby espers. Her guild headquarters was one of the nearest ones to the capital, and so most of the espers were dispatched to the capital.

As for her, some questioned her, but one word from her and everyone could only scratch their neck and leave.

"You’ll come later?"

"Yes. Don’t worry," Thalia answered as usual. She was lying, but her expression remained the same. Her vice leader eventually relented and left with the others.

Thalia watched them leave until she could no longer see them. Her expression soon turned serious, and she returned to the building.

She was ready to leave. From her updates, the group from Blue did not change location. She also dispersed the mercenaries; their missions were done. If not, they might become a variable.

Despite rushing, it still took a day to arrive. Thalia paused and looked at the small city. Her heartbeat raced, her instincts telling her she was in the right direction.

Rise...

It was the dead of the night when she infiltrated the villa. It was also fortunate that this city had a lot of trees around. The villa also had a garden, which helped conceal Thalia’s presence.

The two A-rank and one B-rank espers by the gate collapsed without them knowing; only slithering vines could be seen in the shadows. Two other patrolling espers were also taken down.

Thalia, having done this a lot of times, seemed to acquire an ability to pinpoint Rise’s location. She only trusted her instincts and, of course, the plants along the way.

That was when she met Rise. Their eyes met, the other’s eyes were filled with surprise, and Thalia’s eyes instantly moistened. She could not help but hug Rise, relieved that she managed to find him unharmed!

Rise blinked, returning the embrace in a daze. He could still not recover that Thalia was suddenly in front of him. Huh? Was he dreaming or what?

Thalia withdrew from the embrace and chuckled. "I’m real."

Rise stared at her. He then realized something. His eyes widened slightly, and he whispered. "You remembered?"

Thalia nodded. Rise sighed. He wanted Thalia not to be involved, but... since she already remembered, there was no point in doing so. He could also see her willingness to do so, and now even saving him.

"You... really." Rise heavily sighed, but there was a smile on his lips that met his eyes. Deep inside him, he was so relieved to see her.

But his expression turned serious again. He remembered their situation. There was no time to reminisce.

"Listen," Rise took her hand and looked her in the eye. "I can’t use mana. I haven’t recovered from the poison. Thalia, I’m going to be a burden to you. Will you still save me?"

Thalia did not even hesitate. Her eyes were resolute.

"You’re never a burden. Even if you are, I’ll still save you. No matter what."
