The array beneath Victor’s boots flared into blinding life, its inverted runes twisting like crimson serpents as they reached for his soul. High above the altar, Klaus stood alongside Yehan and three senior elders, their faces bathed in the bloody glow of the three suns. Below them, thousands of Heavenly Demons roared in unison, eager to witness the subjugation of a human who had dared to grasp a power beyond his station.

"Activate the array!" Klaus commanded, his voice echoing across the domain. "Rip the beast from his essence!"

A suffocating pressure surged from the altar, attempting to force its way into Victor’s shadow domain to sever his soul-bound thread. But the moment the demonic energy touched Victor’s consciousness, it did not find a fragile human soul. It struck a vast, infinite ocean of primordial energy.

Victor stood in the center of the raging storm, completely untouched.

"Is that all? Are you giving me a massage?", Victor said a mocking tone.

Yehan’s grin vanished, replaced by a flash of irritation as the array sputtered. "Arrogant blood-sack! Increase the power!"

The elders channeled their dark qi into the platform, but after several failed attempts to break Victor’s soul, the array merely flickered uselessly. Sweating profusely, the senior elders realized the human’s defense was completely beyond their capability.

Desperate, the leading elder fell to his knees and called upon the Supreme Ancestor, the ultimate master of the Heavenly Demons resting in the depths of the domain.

The old demon master opened his eyes and pointed his finger toward the array.

Instantly, the aura of the ritual array increased millions of times over as the godly Universal Supreme’s energy merged into the formation. The entire domain trembled under the divine weight, and every demon present felt a wave of profound relief. The thousands of Heavenly Demons lining the thoroughfares immediately knelt down in reverent worship toward the deepest part of the realm.

Victor, however, simply yawned.

"Really? I almost fell asleep. Didn’t you drink momma’s milk or something? God race, more like hair of the ass," Victor said with extreme disdain.

The faces of Klaus, Yehan, and the elders paled when they saw that even after the Supreme Ancestor personally lent his power, they still could not sever the contract. The human bastard was not even affected.

Panicking at the absolute failure of their grand array, the Supreme Ancestor’s spiritual voice echoed toward the distant sacred library in a deeply polite tone. "Master, please use your power. The potential of the beast seems far more terrifying than we initially imagined."

Inside the sacred library thousands of kilometers away, the old, ordinary-looking guard opened his eyes and shook his head.

"You can’t do anything without me. How pathetic," the old guard muttered softly.

A massive black dragon of curse energy gushed out from his body, traveled thousands of kilometers in a heartbeat, and plunged directly into the heart of the array.

BOOM!

The aura rose so vast that the three suns in the sky were completely shadowed by the rising darkness.

"That bastard took action?" Victor asked quietly within his mind. His plan of deliberately provoking them had worked perfectly.

"Yes, Master," Astrion nodded from within the shadow domain.

"Then finish him," Victor calmly ordered.

"As you wish."

The next moment, an immense force of absolute destruction surged directly back through the black dragon, tracing the strike straight to the root of the power. The old man in the library could not even comprehend what happened before the primordial destruction obliterated his soul. His lifeless body fell on the ground with a thud.

[Ding! You have killed a Semi-Immortal. 1 trillion evolution points gained.]

A bright glint flashed in Victor’s eyes.

"Oh? I can gain evolution points even if Astrion is the killer? That’s awesome."

With the curse matrix completely erased alongside its caster, Victor looked up at the trembling crowd of demons.

"Now, bring Diana here."

Astrion moved instantly.

Deep within the Heavenly Demon Domain, locked away inside the Sealing Tower, Diana stood in silent isolation. Without warning, a dark spatial portal rippled open beneath her feet, swallowing her whole before the surrounding guards could even react.

A millisecond later, she materialized directly beside Victor.

The moment her feet touched the ground, the last residual threads of the ancient curse began to crumble. Without the semi-immortal old guard’s spiritual force to sustain the matrix, the jagged black lines etched into her skin burst into harmless grey ash. The dark film covering her soul shattered into fine glimmers of light, scattering into the cold wind.

For weeks, her consciousness had been trapped in a boundless, pitch-black abyss, stripped of emotion, thought, and self. But now, the dam broke.

A soft gasp escaped her lips. Fresh color returned to her pale cheeks, and the blank, soulless void in her eyes vanished, replaced by the brilliant, living light of her true self. A violent wave of memories flooded back into her mind.

Most clearly of all, she remembered the moment her dull, cursed eyes had caught sight of Victor standing on the transport platform. She remembered the sickening impact of Yehan’s fist striking Victor’s chest, the sight of him coughing up blood, and the utterly unbothered, terrifying gaze he held while enduring everything simply to buy time for her safety.

Diana slowly turned her head.

Standing right beside her was Victor. His robes were still torn around the chest, and faint streaks of dried blood stained his jawline, but his posture remained as straight and unbroken as a mountain.

"Victor..." Her voice trembled, raspy from long silence, carrying a surge of raw disbelief and overwhelming relief.

"I am here," Victor said gently.

Diana did not hesitate for a single second. She threw her arms around his neck, burying her face into his chest with desperate intensity. Her body shuddered against him as the lingering horror of her captivity finally washed away, replaced by the warmth of his embrace.

Victor wrapped his arms securely around her waist, pulling her close against his chest. He rested his chin against her hair, holding her tightly to let her know without words that the nightmare was officially over.

For a brief moment, the oppressive and terrifying atmosphere hovering over the Heavenly Demon Domain seemed to pause. The grand thoroughfares, lined with thousands of shock-stricken demons, remained deathly quiet. High above, Klaus and Yehan stood frozen on their levitating platform, their faces drained of all color, too terrified to even draw a breath.

They had felt that aura just moments ago, an aura so suffocating that even their Ancestor had paled before it.

They still could not comprehend what had transpired, only that the terrifying darkness that had swallowed the sky had vanished, and Diana, who should have been locked deep within the Sealing Tower, had somehow been pulled directly to Victor’s side.

Far below, the Supreme Ancestor was shaken to his absolute core. He could no longer feel his master’s spiritual signature.

Something had gone wrong. Very, very wrong.

His gaze snapped toward Victor and Diana, before scanning frantically toward the sacred library thousands of kilometers away.

His eyes widened in sheer horror.

His master, the ancient Progenitor of the Heavenly Demons, was lying there lifelessly among the ruins. His soul had been utterly extinguished.

"No!"

The Ancestor roared toward the heavens. His unrestricted aura gushed out from his body like a tidal wave, forcing every Heavenly Demon across the thoroughfares onto their knees under the overwhelming pressure.

Only Victor and Diana remained standing, completely untouched within Astrion’s protective barrier.

In an instant, spatial energy fractured, and the Ancestor manifested directly in front of Victor, his face contorted in raw rage and disbelief. "What did you do?!"

Victor looked at him with an expression of absolute, unyielding coldness.

"Old bastard, only one of you has died so far," Victor said, his voice completely devoid of warmth. "Wait until your entire race ceases to exist today. Don’t break down this early."

Before the Ancestor could say or do anything, the shadow beneath Victor suddenly expanded, and something began emerging from it.

Astrion was still restraining his aura to the Semi-Immortal realm, but it was already far superior to the old man he had just killed.

Astrion’s enormous dark body emerged from the shadow, its two heads and crimson eyes radiating an oppressive presence.

It continued growing larger and larger until its body reached a terrifying height of 10 kilometers.

Astrion looked down at the countless demons who were now kneeling on the ground under its pressure.

Only the Ancestor could barely remain standing.

"Hahahaha! So that’s it. You were never a Galactic Overlord. You were just playing with us."

The Ancestor had almost gone insane.

"Fate is truly cruel. Why can a mongrel like him obtain someone as majestic as you? Why? I am far more worthy than him. Then why can’t I have you?"

Astrion looked down at him with its crimson eyes.

"Hmph! Pathetic worm. You think you are more worthy than my master?"

"You are nothing but dust before my master’s true self."

"Die."
