"Resource Tower? What is that?" Victor asked with interest.

"It is a competition among the young generation. As you might already know, countless inhabitants from different cosmoses and rogue universes come here. The true overlords of the Chaos Seas, such as the Chaos Clan, Chaos Temple, and Primordial Race, organize these competitions."

"Normally, it is a betting system. They bet on competitors, and the winner receives resources from the losing factions. To attract powerful and talented cultivators, they promise luxurious resources found in dangerous places throughout the Chaos Seas," Dublin explained.

"Astrion, do you know about these supreme powerhouses?" Victor asked.

"Master, the Astral Realm was created by a Chaos God, and the ancestors of these factions are all Chaos Gods. I do not know which Chaos God created the Astral Realm or me, but I know they are the ultimate pinnacle of power. They are the laws themselves."

"I do not know much about them beyond that," Astrion replied calmly.

"Damn! Even you were created by a Chaos God?" Victor asked, unable to hide his surprise.

"That is correct, Master," Astrion replied with a small nod.

Victor was about to ask another question when Dublin suddenly looked back at him. "Hey, why are you silent? Are you going with me or not?"

"Let’s go. Meanwhile, give me some details about the tower."

"The tower is a place for fighting. That is all there is to it. You fight, you win, and you proceed to the next floor."

"But the higher you climb, the stronger your opponent becomes. Starting from the tenth floor, your opponent will even be from a higher realm than you," Dublin explained as he walked beside Victor.

"Opponent? We fight other competitors?" Victor asked.

"No. You will fight predetermined opponents waiting on each floor."

"Your first opponent will be a normal cultivator at your current realm. After that, the difficulty will steadily increase. By the ninth floor, you will fight someone standing at the absolute peak of your realm."

"To defeat him, you will naturally need combat prowess beyond your current realm. If you can overcome that opponent, the next one will belong to the next realm."

"There is no upper limit. If you are capable enough, you can keep climbing. You might even get the chance to fight a Chaos God if you keep climbing higher. Hahahaha!"

Dublin burst into laughter, though even he knew that statement sounded utterly ridiculous.

Victor did not laugh. Instead, his eyes shone with interest. A tower that continuously provided stronger opponents was exactly the kind of place he wanted to experience.

"Then, what are the requirements for registration?" Victor asked.

"You must be under two hundred years old, and your cultivation realm must be at least the Sovereign Realm," Dublin replied without hesitation.

Victor glanced at the little goblin beside him and smiled. "You know, for such a little man, you sure know a lot, Dublin."

"Hmph! What do you know? I am from the Nexus Cosmos. I have already toured countless universes there. I am basically a walking encyclopedia," Dublin declared proudly.

"Then you must be very powerful," Victor praised.

"I am a Domain Master, just like you. However, this daddy has a badass spaceship!" Dublin said with a mischievous grin.

Victor became speechless.

Dublin somehow reminded him of those crooked information dealers who appeared everywhere, knew everything, and somehow managed to survive every disaster.

Victor looked at him suspiciously. "So why did you tell me all that information?"

He was certain that obtaining such detailed information elsewhere would cost a considerable amount of money.

"This is the instinct of the great Dublin," the goblin replied, suddenly adopting a sage-like expression. "I can feel that you will accomplish great things in the future. I am simply making friends with people like you. That is all."

Victor stared at him for a moment.

He had to admit that this goblin possessed an incredibly unique personality. Dublin was shameless, boastful, suspiciously well-informed, and somehow strangely likable at the same time.

After walking for a while, they finally entered the busiest area of the metropolis.

The streets were filled with cultivators from countless races. Humans, beastmen, strange humanoid creatures, and beings Victor could not even identify moved through the enormous streets.

At the center of the area stood a gigantic glowing portal.

A long line of young men and women waited before it. Several soldiers stood beside the portal, checking each participant before allowing them to enter.

"Is this the place?" Victor asked.

"Yeah," Dublin replied with a confident nod.

Victor looked at the enormous line and frowned. "There is a huge line."

"You are a friend of Dublin. There is no need for you to wait in the line. Come with me," Dublin said proudly.

Victor raised an eyebrow.

After everything he had seen so far, he was beginning to suspect that this little goblin might actually be a hidden big shot.

He silently followed Dublin toward the front.

Soon, they reached the soldiers guarding the portal.

Dublin immediately smiled and waved at one of them. "Brother Garou, how have you been?"

The soldier turned around and recognized him.

"Oh, Dublin. You want to enter the competition as well? You never even surpassed the third floor, you know that, right? Why waste your time?"

"Heh heh. This time, I brought a friend of mine. I am certain he will achieve great things. Now, let him inside," Dublin replied confidently.

Garou looked at Victor.

Then his gaze shifted toward Astrion, who was sitting casually on Victor’s shoulder.

The moment Garou saw Astrion, his expression changed.

Surprise flashed across his face, and his eyes remained fixed on the strange creature for several seconds.

"But rules are rules," Garou said eventually. "If it were only you, I could let you pass. But he is a stranger. He need to wait in the line."

Dublin rubbed his palms together and revealed a mischievous smile.

"How about I tell you some information about Miss Natasha later?"

"Uhm."

Garou immediately coughed and looked away.

"I suppose bending the rules slightly for a friend of yours is not a problem," he said with a serious expression. "However, he must still fulfill the basic requirements. You understand that, right?"

"Of course," Dublin replied confidently.

Victor was speechless.

Where exactly was this goblin getting his confidence from?

Garou gestured toward a crystal standing beside the portal. "Young man, come here and place your hands on the crystal. We need to verify your information."

He paused and glanced at Astrion.

"Your pet cannot participate in the competition."

Astrion immediately jumped from Victor’s shoulder.

"Master, go have fun. I will tour around this place and see whether I can find anything important," Astrion said.

Before Victor could respond, Astrion’s figure vanished.

Victor looked as Astrion vanished. It was good too. Astrion will find resourses what he might not even recognise. Letting him go right now was indeed a good way to not waste time.

So, he did not stop him.

There was no need to worry about Astrion. If something truly dangerous appeared, Victor was certain Astrion could handle it as he was an immortal, far more stronger than him.

Victor stepped toward the crystal and placed both hands against its cold surface.

The crystal immediately lit up.

A series of information appeared above it, visible to everyone nearby.

[Race: Human]

[Affiliation: None]

[Realm: Domain Master]

[Age: 17 years old]

Garou stared at the information for several seconds.

His expression gradually became complicated.

"Seventeen years old... Domain Master?"

Even Dublin looked surprised.

He had known Victor was powerful, but seeing his actual age displayed so openly was still shocking.

Around them, several young competitors noticed the commotion and turned their attention toward Victor.

Whispers quickly spread through the surrounding crowd.

"A seventeen-year-old Domain Master?"

"Impossible. Is the crystal malfunctioning?"

"He looks human. How could someone that young reach the Domain Master Realm?"

Victor ignored the surrounding voices.

His expression remained calm as he looked toward Garou.

"Well?" he asked.

Garou slowly recovered from his surprise.

The rules were simple. Anyone below two hundred years old who had reached at least the Sovereign Realm could participate.

Victor was not merely qualified.

He was overwhelmingly qualified.

Garou looked toward Dublin, then back at Victor.

"You meet the requirements."

Dublin immediately grinned.

"I told you. This time, Dublin brought someone extraordinary."

Victor glanced at the smug goblin and shook his head.

For once, however, he did not mind Dublin’s boasting.

The Resource Tower sounded interesting.

If the opponents really became stronger floor by floor, then it would provide him with something he rarely encountered anymore.

A proper challenge.

Because right now, either his opponent too strong for him to fight or to weak to pose any challenge at all.

"I wonder, if I go all out, how far can I go?", Victor smiled before walking toward the portal.

His eyes turned serous as he set his foot in the portal and vanished inside it.
