Infinite Rebate: I Get Richer Every Time I Spend
Chapter 265: I Know What You’re DoingGracie slid the glass of champagne across the table and waited for him to take it.
Lucas didn’t move.
He glanced at the glass once, then looked back at her with the same unreadable expression. "I don’t drink during business."
For a second, Gracie just stared at him.
The shift threw her off. This was the same man who had followed behind her with his eyes glued to her ass the entire walk in. Now he was sitting there cold, composed, and completely uninterested in the little gestures that usually softened men up. She couldn’t tell if he was playing a game or if he was genuinely difficult.
Her smile returned a moment later, thinner this time.
"Alright then," she said, pulling the glass back and taking a slow sip herself. "Straight to business. I like that."
She crossed her legs and leaned forward slightly, letting her posture do part of the work. The same instincts that had handled countless men before him settled into place. Soft voice. Controlled eye contact. Just enough warmth to keep the door open.
"So," she asked, "what exactly do you want to talk about?"
Lucas didn’t answer immediately.
He studied her in silence, eyes steady, as if he were peeling her apart piece by piece. Then, without any visible change in expression, he activated Mind Insight.

The shift was instant.
Her surface smile stayed in place, but her thoughts bled through clearly.
This one is not easy.
Why can’t he just be simple like Durnik?
That old fool used to send money nonstop. All I had to do was record myself bouncing my tits or shaking my ass and he would lose his mind. Transfer after transfer. No resistance. No questions.
If I play this carefully, maybe I can still pull the rest of that five hundred million out of this situation. I already budgeted part of it for another round of work on this ass.
Useless Durnik... he should’ve just paid. Now everything is messy.
Why is Lookas looking at me like that?
Lucas absorbed every line of it without reacting.
So that was the connection. Gracie and Durnik. Money. Private videos. Promises that had clearly fallen apart. The livestream attack on Switch suddenly sat in a much clearer frame.
He stopped staring so openly and leaned back a little, already filing the information away.
Across the table, Gracie misread the pause completely. In her mind, the silence looked like interest. Attraction, even. She assumed he was still caught on her face, her body, the usual things.
See? Still manageable, she told herself. Just play it well.
She tilted her head and spoke again, voice light.
"So... are we still doing business, or what?"
Lucas blinked once, as if returning from a brief thought.
"Yes," he said calmly. "I was just thinking about something."
Lucas’s tone shifted.
When he spoke again, the casual edge was gone. His voice was calmer, heavier, and far more deliberate.
He studied Gracie for a moment before continuing ~ not with hostility, but with the quiet focus of someone examining a puzzle he had already mostly solved and was only confirming the final piece.
"I know what you’re doing," he said.
Gracie’s smile stayed in place, but something behind her eyes tightened. "What I’m doing?"
"The livestreams. The soft voice. The crying. The way you never ask for money directly ~ you create the mood and let men offer first."
He said it plainly, without heat or mockery, the same way someone might comment on the weather. "You didn’t take Durnik’s deal because you liked him. You took it because you needed the money. And now that the payment is gone, you’re rebuilding it the same way you always do. Piece by piece. Stream by stream."
The lounge felt quieter than it had a second earlier.
Gracie set her glass down slowly. The polished performance in her expression cracked, just slightly ~ not enough for a stranger to notice, but enough for someone watching carefully.
"That’s a lot of assumptions for someone who just met me a few minutes ago," she said. The warmth in her voice had thinned.
"They’re not assumptions." Lucas leaned back against the couch, unhurried. "I watched the whole stream."
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Gracie’s fingers tightened around the stem of her glass. She was used to being misread. Men called her shallow, greedy, easy, dramatic ~ whatever suited their ego at the time.
What she was not used to was being read accurately, especially by a stranger who had sent her two hundred million without asking for a single favor in return.
"Okay," she said at last, quieter now. "So you figured me out. Congratulations. What do you want from me?"
"Durnik."
The name hit harder than she expected. Her jaw tensed.
For a second she just stared at him, mind racing.
How the hell does he know Durnik?
"What about him?" she asked carefully. Then, after a short pause, "Why do you care about Durnik? What did he do to you?"
"He’s in my way," Lucas said simply. "That’s all you need to know for now."
Gracie exhaled, unsatisfied and still unsettled. "I don’t get it. What exactly do you want me to do?"
Lucas didn’t rush the answer. He let the silence sit between them for a moment longer before he spoke again, slower this time, making sure every word landed.
"My name is Lucas. I’m the owner of Switch."
Gracie’s eyes widened.
The shock hit her face before she could hide it. The same platform she had attacked only hours earlier.
Lucas continued without giving her time to recover.
"The livestream you did today affected me directly. I also know Durnik was the one who told you to do it. And from the way you’ve been scrambling since then, it’s obvious he never paid you."
A faint smile pulled at the corner of his mouth.
"So I’ll make you an offer. You go after Durnik for me. And unlike him, I actually pay."
Gracie sat frozen for a second, still processing the weight of what she had just heard.
The owner of Switch...
I attacked his platform...
And now he’s sitting here offering me a deal?
Her voice came out less steady than before, the confident purr from earlier completely gone.
"What... what exactly do you want me to do?"
