infinite Rebate System: 10x Rewards for Conquering And Taming Heroines
Chapter 48: One Man Against the Punks"Don’t worry. If reason doesn’t work, I also know a thing or two about fighting..."
Did these punks really think they were living in a gangster movie?
Jason wasn’t worried in the slightest. His physical condition was already far beyond that of an ordinary person, and he also had the beginner-level Sanda combat skill awarded by the system.
Dealing with a few street thugs would be easy.
The only thing that concerned him was that he might get carried away and injure them too seriously. If someone actually died, things would become troublesome.
Outside the shop, a group of young men with bleached hair approached aggressively, each carrying clubs, wooden sticks, or other makeshift weapons.
They shouted and cursed as they walked, their voices echoing through the otherwise quiet street.
The customers nearby immediately panicked.
Some hurried away while others stepped into nearby shops to avoid getting caught up in the trouble.
Within moments, the previously lively street had become almost deserted.
Linda, the owner of the Big Pinwheel Milk Tea shop next door, watched the scene from behind her counter.
A smug, vicious smile slowly appeared on her face.
"Heh. You dared to compete with me?"
"I’ll make sure you lose everything!"
She knew these men very well.
They were followers of her son, Michael.
When Jason’s shop had first opened next door, Linda hadn’t paid much attention.
After all, she had been running her business for years and had a large number of regular customers.
But she soon discovered that the new shop was cleaner, the drinks tasted better, and the ingredients were noticeably fresher.
Before long, many of her longtime customers had started buying their drinks from Jason’s shop instead.
Linda became furious.
She tried various underhanded tactics to drive away customers and eventually asked her son to send his men over to intimidate the competition.
That was how she had managed to keep her own business alive.
Inside Jason’s shop, Mia also noticed the commotion outside.
Her small face flushed with anger.
She grabbed a broom and was about to rush outside when Jason quickly caught her by the wrist.
"No need. I can handle this."
He wasn’t worried about Mia.
He simply needed to complete the system’s mission.
After all, the mission had a one-month deadline.
If Mia got herself seriously injured and ended up in the hospital, how was he supposed to complete his training mission with her?
His idea of "special training" was rather intense.
Using those methods on an injured person could very well send them to the emergency room.
Mia looked down at Jason’s hand around her wrist.
She could feel the warmth of his palm.
Her delicate body trembled slightly, and a strange feeling spread through her heart.
Her cheeks became warm.
He’s so handsome...
And he feels so dependable.
Could he have fallen for me at first sight?
What if he confesses to me?
The more she thought about it, the redder her face became.
She quickly nodded, her ponytails bouncing from side to side.
"Then... be careful."
Jason released her wrist and walked toward the entrance.
He stepped outside and faced the approaching group alone.
These people had repeatedly caused trouble outside his shop, making it difficult for him to conduct business.
Anyone who deliberately interfered with another person’s livelihood was crossing a serious line.
Jason had no intention of letting them off easily.
"You guys..."
Before he could finish speaking, the leader shouted:
"Brothers, go!"
"Beat this bastard down!"
"Afterward, the boss is treating everyone tonight!"
Jason blinked.
What?
The thugs immediately became excited.
"Boss is the best!"
"Let’s finish this quickly!"
"Move!"
A dozen men charged toward Jason like a pack of wild dogs.
They shouted as they swung their clubs and sticks, clearly intending to overwhelm him through sheer numbers.
Jason’s expression remained calm.
As the first attacker swung his club, Jason sidestepped effortlessly.
The weapon cut through empty air.
Jason immediately seized the man’s arm, twisted it sharply, and used his momentum to throw him aside.
The thug crashed into several of his companions, sending them stumbling backward.
Another man rushed forward.
Jason stepped in and delivered a clean punch.
The thug staggered backward, clutching his face.
"Ah!"
He collapsed to the ground, completely stunned by the force of the blow.
The other men froze for half a second.
"What the hell?"
"This guy can fight!"
"What are you afraid of?" another thug shouted, trying to encourage the others. "There are more than ten of us!"
"We can take him!"
The group charged again.
This time, Jason moved even faster.
He slipped between their attacks, avoiding clubs and sticks while striking whenever an opening appeared.
A kick sent one attacker sprawling.
A punch dropped another.
A shoulder check sent a third crashing into a table outside the shop.
Jason moved with precision rather than rage.
Within minutes, several of the attackers were lying on the pavement, groaning in pain.
The remaining men stared at him in disbelief.
What kind of monster was this?
Linda, watching from next door, was completely stunned.
"This kid is actually that strong?"
The gang leader’s face became increasingly ugly.
A dozen men had come to intimidate one person.
Yet now almost all of them were on the ground.
If he returned empty-handed, Michael would never forgive him.
"Useless!"
"You’re all useless!"
"There’s more than ten of you! How can you not beat one guy?"
Desperation overcame his fear.
He suddenly reached beneath his jacket and pulled out a knife.
Without hesitation, he charged at Jason.
"Jason, watch out!"
Mia screamed from inside the shop.
Jason’s eyes narrowed.
He stepped aside just as the blade swept past him.
Before the attacker could recover, Jason seized his wrist and twisted it sharply.
The man cried out.
The knife fell from his hand and clattered onto the pavement.
Jason kicked the weapon away before grabbing the man’s arm and forcing him to the ground.
"You even pulled a knife?"
Jason’s expression turned cold.
"That changes things."
"You’re going to prison."
The man struggled desperately.
"Wait! Wait!"
Jason ignored him.
He turned toward Emily.
"Emily, call the police."
Emily was still frozen in shock.
When she heard Jason’s voice, she immediately snapped back to reality.
"Right!"
She quickly pulled out her phone and called the authorities.
Meanwhile, Mia stood inside the shop with both hands covering her mouth.
Her eyes sparkled with admiration.
Compared with Jason, the boys she had known at school suddenly seemed completely unimpressive.
She couldn’t help whispering:
"Jason is so cool..."
Not long afterward, the authorities arrived.
Emily explained everything that had happened, including the repeated harassment from the group and the fact that one of them had pulled a knife.
The officers detained the attackers and took them away for further investigation.
Jason hadn’t held back during the fight.
Judging from their injuries, several of the men would probably spend quite some time recovering.
And that was before facing the legal consequences of their actions.
Jason watched the police vehicles disappear into the distance.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
This was only the beginning.
Today, he had crippled one of Michael’s most important assets.
Soon, he would deal with Michael himself.
