infinite Rebate System: 10x Rewards for Conquering And Taming Heroines
Chapter 53: One Point Away"Ding!"
A soft electronic chime echoed inside Jason’s mind.
A blue, translucent screen appeared before his eyes, hovering in the air as naturally as if it had always belonged there.
No one else in the gym reacted.
They couldn’t see it.
Jason had long since become accustomed to the strange system’s ability to reveal information that ordinary people could never access. Still, the moment he saw what was displayed, his expression changed.
[Female Information Panel Unlocked.]
Below the notification was Sabrina’s profile.
Name: Sabrina Cole
Gender: Female
Age: 31
Marital Status: Divorced
Physical Condition: Healthy
Current Mood: Excited
Affection toward Host: 67
Jason’s eyes narrowed slightly.
There it was.
The information he had been waiting for.
The Female Information Panel was finally available.
And it was far more useful than he had imagined.
The basic information was helpful, but the real value was the Affection statistic.
It gave Jason something he had never been able to measure before.
A person’s feelings toward him were no longer completely hidden behind smiles, words, or expressions.
Numbers gave him certainty.
And right now, Sabrina’s Affection was sitting at 67.
Only three points away from the mission requirement.
Seventy.
Once she reached that number, the mission would be completed.
Jason glanced at Sabrina.
She was standing a few feet away, completely unaware that a glowing blue panel was floating beside her.
She looked energetic and confident, her professional demeanor back in place.
Jason couldn’t help smiling.
Three points.
It sounded simple.
But he knew better than to force it.
The system might measure Affection with numbers, but people weren’t machines. He couldn’t simply press a button and make someone’s feelings increase.
He had to let things happen naturally.
"Jason?"
Sabrina’s voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
She tilted her head.
"Where did your mind go?"
Jason blinked and quickly dismissed the panel.
"Nowhere."
Sabrina raised an eyebrow.
"Uh-huh. Sure."
She gave him a suspicious look before turning toward the training area.
"Come on. You’re here to work out, not daydream."
Jason laughed quietly.
"Yes, Coach."
"That’s better."
She motioned for him to follow.
Jason walked behind her toward the main training area.
The gym was considerably quieter than it had been earlier.
A few members were scattered around the weight machines, while others were stretching near the mirrors. Music played softly through the speakers, barely loud enough to cover the rhythmic sounds of weights being lifted and lowered.
The floor smelled faintly of rubber mats and disinfectant.
Sabrina led him toward a quieter corner.
Several clean yoga mats had been arranged along the wall, with resistance bands, foam rollers, and other basic equipment neatly stored nearby.
She picked up two fresh mats.
"These are mine."
She handed one to Jason.
"I don’t like using mats that have been lying around after half the gym has stepped on them."
Jason looked at the mat.
"Good to know."
Sabrina spread hers across the floor.
Then her expression changed.
The teasing disappeared.
Her posture straightened, and suddenly she looked less like the woman who had been joking with him a moment ago and more like a serious professional.
"Listen carefully, rookie."
Jason immediately became attentive.
"The first rule of training is simple."
She raised one finger.
"Warm up."
Jason nodded.
Sabrina continued.
"People always think warming up is a waste of time because they want to get straight to the hard stuff. That’s exactly how people get hurt."
She pointed toward his legs.
"Your muscles need time to loosen up. Your joints need to move through their range of motion. Your body needs to be prepared before you start putting serious stress on it."
She paused.
"And if you skip that step repeatedly, sooner or later your body will remind you that you’re not invincible."
Jason smiled.
"Understood."
"Good."
Sabrina’s serious expression softened.
"Then watch carefully."
She lowered herself onto the mat.
Jason followed her movements with his eyes.
Sabrina began demonstrating a deep frog stretch.
Her movements were controlled from beginning to end.
She didn’t rush into the position. She eased into it gradually, maintaining control and breathing steadily as she held the stretch.
Then she transitioned smoothly into another movement.
Jason watched closely.
From a purely technical standpoint, Sabrina was good.
Very good.
She understood body positioning, balance, flexibility, and controlled movement.
There was nothing careless about the way she trained.
Every movement had a purpose.
Jason had spent plenty of time in gyms in his previous life, and fitness knowledge had become far more advanced over the years. If anything, he probably understood more about training than Sabrina expected.
But he didn’t interrupt her.
She was doing her job.
And he was perfectly willing to let her teach.
Besides...
There was another reason his attention occasionally wandered.
Sabrina was attractive.
It would have been strange to pretend otherwise.
She carried herself with confidence, and there was something naturally appealing about the way she combined professionalism with a playful personality.
Jason had to admit that watching an attractive woman demonstrate stretches directly in front of him wasn’t exactly the easiest way to maintain perfect concentration.
After finishing the demonstration, Sabrina looked toward him.
"Did you get it?"
Jason nodded.
"Yeah."
Sabrina studied his expression.
Then she caught his eyes lingering on her.
For a moment, neither of them said anything.
Their eyes met.
A small smile appeared at the corner of Sabrina’s mouth.
She seemed pleased.
Being admired was never unpleasant.
Especially when the person doing the admiring was younger, confident, and surprisingly easy on the eyes.
She put one hand on her hip.
"Rookie."
Jason raised an eyebrow.
"What?"
"What exactly are you looking at?"
Her voice was teasing rather than angry.
Jason gave her his most innocent expression.
"I was watching the exercise."
"Were you?"
"Absolutely."
Sabrina narrowed her eyes.
"I don’t believe you."
Jason laughed.
Then—
Ding!
[Sabrina Cole’s Affection toward the Host has increased by 1.]
[Current Affection: 68]
Jason’s smile became slightly wider.
Interesting.
Her words said one thing.
The system said another.
Apparently, Sabrina wasn’t nearly as annoyed by his attention as she pretended to be.
Jason rubbed the back of his neck.
"Sabrina, you can’t really blame me."
"Oh?"
"Could you demonstrate it one more time?"
Sabrina stared at him.
For two seconds.
Three.
Then she burst out laughing.
"You’re shameless."
Jason shrugged.
"I just want to make sure I learned it correctly."
"Nice try."
She shook her head.
"Even if I demonstrate it again, you’re probably going to spend the entire time watching me instead of watching the exercise."
Jason chuckled.
He didn’t answer.
Because she wasn’t entirely wrong.
But there was something else he had been paying attention to.
Her reaction.
If Sabrina genuinely disliked him staring at her, she would have pulled away.
She might have become uncomfortable.
She might have become cold.
Instead, she had teased him.
There was no hostility in her expression.
Only amusement.
That told Jason something.
There was already a subtle spark between them.
It wasn’t anything serious.
Not yet.
But it existed.
Jason wasn’t going to rush it.
He understood something important about relationships: forcing a moment often destroyed the very thing that made it special.
Chemistry needed room to breathe.
A little teasing.
A little curiosity.
A little uncertainty.
Those things could create tension naturally.
And right now, Sabrina seemed comfortable around him.
That was enough.
She shook her head and pointed toward the mat.
"Enough talking."
Jason obediently lay down.
Sabrina moved closer.
"Relax your shoulders."
Jason adjusted his posture.
"Like this?"
"A little more."
She carefully corrected his position.
"Your back is too tense."
Jason relaxed.
"Better?"
"Much better."
She guided him through the movement, making sure he didn’t push himself too far.
"Don’t force the stretch."
"I won’t."
"Good. Flexibility isn’t about seeing how much pain you can tolerate."
Jason nodded.
Sabrina continued explaining the movement as she worked.
Her hands briefly adjusted his posture before she stepped back.
"Try again."
Jason followed her instructions.
His movements were surprisingly smooth.
Sabrina noticed.
She frowned slightly.
"Wait."
Jason looked at her.
"What?"
"You’ve done this before."
Jason smiled.
"I told you. I’m a quick learner."
Sabrina folded her arms.
"No beginner learns body control that quickly."
Jason shrugged.
"Maybe I’m a talented beginner."
"Don’t get cocky."
She couldn’t stop herself from smiling.
Jason continued the exercise.
His enhanced physique made the movements considerably easier than they would have been for an ordinary beginner.
His muscles responded quickly.
His balance was excellent.
Even his breathing remained steady.
Sabrina’s expression slowly changed from amusement to genuine surprise.
She had trained hundreds of people.
She knew what beginners looked like.
Most struggled with basic coordination.
Some couldn’t even maintain proper posture for more than a few seconds.
Jason was different.
He adapted almost immediately.
"You’re better than I expected."
There was genuine approval in her voice.
Jason looked back at her.
"That’s a compliment, right?"
"Don’t push your luck."
Jason laughed.
Sabrina shook her head.
But the smile remained.
They continued training.
One movement became two.
Two became several.
The atmosphere gradually changed.
The earlier awkwardness disappeared, replaced by an easy rhythm of instruction and teasing.
Sabrina corrected him.
Jason joked.
She rolled her eyes.
He laughed.
Then she laughed too.
Neither of them noticed how naturally they had fallen into the rhythm.
Jason did, however, notice something else.
The blue screen had not disappeared from his mind.
He could almost feel that number sitting there.
68.
One point away.
He didn’t need to do anything dramatic.
Just one more genuine moment.
One more reason for Sabrina to feel closer to him.
Then—
Ding!
The familiar notification suddenly rang inside his head.
Jason froze.
His eyes sharpened.
The translucent blue panel appeared again.
[Sabrina Cole’s Affection toward the Host has increased by 1.]
[Current Affection: 69]
Jason stared at the number.
69.
His heartbeat quickened.
Only one point remained.
One.
The mission was almost complete.
He had come to the gym expecting to complete his first training session.
Instead, he had unlocked the Female Information Panel, discovered Sabrina’s feelings toward him, and pushed her Affection all the way to the edge of the required threshold.
But the real prize wasn’t the number.
Jason’s gaze became serious.
The reward was waiting behind that final point.
Perfect-Level Muay Thai Skill.
That was what mattered.
His enhanced physique had already given him strength, speed, endurance, and reaction ability far beyond an ordinary person.
But physical attributes were only one part of combat.
Technique mattered.
Timing mattered.
Experience mattered.
A fighter with overwhelming strength but poor technique could still be defeated by someone who knew exactly how to use their body.
Perfect-level combat skill was different.
If the system description was accurate, it meant Jason would instantly possess an extraordinary level of technical mastery.
His movements.
His timing.
His strikes.
His defense.
His footwork.
Everything would be elevated.
Jason slowly clenched his hand.
Outside the gym, there were people waiting for him.
The gang members who had been sent after him.
They thought they had found an ordinary young man they could intimidate.
They had no idea what was about to happen.
Jason looked toward the gym entrance.
For the first time since hearing about the gang, he wasn’t nervous.
He was curious.
Just one more point.
He turned his attention back to Sabrina.
She was still talking, completely unaware of the thoughts running through his mind.
Jason smiled.
He wouldn’t force it.
He didn’t need to.
The distance between them was already shrinking naturally.
All he had to do was take the final step.
Then the system would reveal exactly what Perfect-Level Muay Thai Skill could do.
And Jason had a feeling...
Once that reward was activated, the people waiting for him outside were going to regret choosing him as their target.
