Infinite Rebate System: Beautiful Women And Endless Returns
Chapter 20: Loose EndsXavier’s phone buzzed at 11AM.
Unknown number.
He answered.
"Yo."
The voice was easygoing in the way people got when they were trying a little too hard to sound relaxed.
"You the guy who paid off Amira’s debt?"
"Depends who’s asking," Xavier replied.
"It’s Femi."
He let the name hang for a beat.
"I think you and I need to talk."
"I don’t think we do," Xavier said pleasantly. "The debt is cleared. Whatever arrangement you had with her is done. There’s nothing to talk about."
Silence stretched between them.
"You don’t know who you’re dealing with," Femi said. The casual tone had shifted slightly. Not gone just showing something underneath it.
"I know exactly who I’m dealing with,"
Xavier said. "A man who lent money to his ex-girlfriend and used it as a leash for eight months because it was the only leverage he had." He paused. "That leverage is gone now. Have a good day Femi."
He hung up.
That won’t be the end of it, he thought. Men like Femi don’t let go quietly.
He was right.
He was in the middle of his first Tier 2 spending cycle when he decided to handle something practical.
He pulled up a premium clothing delivery app and placed an order — two full outfit sets, his sizing, nothing excessive, just some casual wear.
Something to replenish what last night had taken out of rotation.

The order was confirmed within a two hour delivery window.
He pocketed his phone and kept moving through the commercial district when his Uber app notified him of a message from his earlier driver.
Not the driver. Someone using the account.
We know where you are.We know where you are.
Xavier looked at the message for exactly three seconds.
Then opened his contacts and made a call.
The line picked up on the second ring.
"I need someone who handles security situations discreetly," Xavier said. "Referral basis. Someone professional."
The contact ;A businessman he’d quietly cultivated during his city exploration days who operated in the grey areas of Kenvale’s commercial district gave him a name and number without asking questions.
Xavier dialed immediately.
"I was given your contact," he said when he answered. "I have a situation that needs managing. Nothing violent — just presence and information. I need to know everything about a man named Femi operating out of Riverside district. His group, his finances, his actual reach."
"How well are you paying," the voice said.
Xavier named a figure.
"Give me just Forty eight hours," the voice said.

Information first, he thought. Then action.
Never the other way around.
He went back to his spending cycle without breaking rhythm.
By mid afternoon he was done with the commercial district and had the city to himself.
Something surfaced from his memory.
The coffee place on Ardmore Street.
He remembered it clearly. Sarah used to go there regularly. Small independent café two blocks from the Arts side of Kenvale. She mentioned it once when they were together like it was her private spot. The kind of place people claim without announcing it.
If the habit started this early she’s probably already going there.
He checked the time. 3PM.
Worth a shot.
Worth a detour.
_ _
The café was exactly as he remembered small, warm, the kind of place that had decided on its aesthetic years ago and never felt the need to update it. Counter along the left wall, four tables inside, two outside on the pavement.
Sarah was at the outside table on the left.
Alone this time. No friends, no performance. Just her, an iced drink and her phone, legs crossed, sunglasses pushed up on her head.
Xavier ordered at the counter inside.

He came out and took the other outside of the table without acknowledging her.
Sat. Opened his phone. Minded his business.
Thirty seconds passed.
"Wait."
He looked up.
Sarah was looking at him with the expression of someone whose brain had just completed a connection.
She looked at him properly. "You’re the guy from the concert right. VIP section."
"Maybe yes," Xavier said.
"You come here often?"
"First time," he said.
She studied him for a second. "I remember you. You were the only person in that section who wasn’t reacting."
"Your spoken word was good," Xavier said.
"The song needed work."
Sarah blinked. "Excuse me?"
"The spoken word you wrote for yourself. The song you wrote for an audience. You can hear the difference."
She stared at him for a moment.
"Most people don’t say that to my face," she said.
"Most people are lying to you then," he said and picked up his coffee.
The silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable. Just loaded.
She pulled her sunglasses off her head and set them on the table.
"You have some nerve saying that to my face so bluntly," she said. Then a small smile. "But now I’m curious about you. Most people either lie to me or worship me." She leaned back in her chair. "As they should."
There it is, Xavier thought. The sheep wool finally coming off.
That last part she said like it was the most natural thing in the world. No embarrassment, no self awareness about how it sounded. Just fact as she saw it.
In my previous life I would have laughed it off and told her she deserved it, he thought. Pathetic.
"Most people haven’t heard you on a bad night," Xavier said simply and picked up his coffee.
Sarah’s smile stayed but her eyes shifted slightly. Not offended. Just recalibrating.
Good, he thought. Every time she expects validation and gets honesty instead it moves something in her. Not the favorability gauge. Something else. Something that’ll matter later.
He checked her favorability gauge anyway.
Sarah Torres — 20%
Still low, he noted. Curiosity isn’t affection. But she’s paying attention now.
A short silence settled between them.
"You said you’d drop your Instagram next time we spoke," Xavier said.
Sarah looked at him. Then let out a small laugh.
