Soft metal in his hand turned into the shape of a pig’s head, casually pressed onto a metal railing by the roadside. Within the next half minute, centering on the railing, nearby visible metal items—unusable street lamps, cityscape decorations, building signs, and other objects—rapidly morphed, their surfaces bearing pig head shapes one after another.
"Quite unique." The old man sighed and said, "You want to use this method to distinguish between spaces?"
Xu Huo nodded slightly, "I suspect the restricted area space is divided into several layers, not yet reaching the level of hundred-meter, or kilometer-wide spaces. The spatial gates appear for too short a time and differ greatly from the props and Evolvers players encounter daily, making them easy to confuse."
"These spatial gates appear scattered and in different directions, confirming this point."
"That’s still troublesome," said the old man. "Even if there are only five layers of space here, the Night Tour Team can completely avoid players. If the exit portals are not fixed, we probably won’t be able to leave before the instance ends."
"Whether the portals are fixed, we’ll have to find out," Xu Huo looked at the Metal Token Player, "Have any of your people encountered the Night Tour Team?"
(Modify later)
Wandering blindly.
As a rescue team member, of course the question was directed at him, but unfortunately, he didn’t know either. Even though he learned of the positions of his teammates from beneath the dimension, they couldn’t meet up. Given the current situation, it’s very difficult for them to leave the restricted area before the instance ends. The only option now is to go to safer places, like the ghost headgear area, and wait for these seven days to pass.
Directionally correct, Xu Huo led the way without concern, as previous experiences showed that despite not being a Space-oriented Super Evolver, he was rather sensitive to Space-Time Power. Separating once they entered the ghost headgear area wouldn’t be too late.
Walking along the street and alley, Xu Huo soon started choosing the rooftops to walk on again. This time, he walked in a straight line, though following players seemed to understand his intentions.
"Is he trying to test if there’s a difference between ground and high altitude?" Someone found it unbelievable; given the danger level of this instance, how could there be such obvious loopholes in the restricted area? Moreover, even if there is a difference, it’s the same to them - can they really break through space?
Actually, they could travel faster by other means.
Just as the crowd’s patience was wearing thin, Xu Huo stopped for a rest, not even glancing at the people behind him, merely saying, "I didn’t ask anyone to follow me."
His previous actions had partly aimed at exploring spatial rules, but also because he found the spatial layout interesting.
Meanwhile, the Metal Token Player had already communicated with companions in other spaces. So far, the rescue team’s players could confirm that at least five layers of space exist at the same city position—they had just passed the city library when four other groups of players were nearby.
However, even if the Block Space hypothesis is correct, it indicates that during that time, five layers of space overlapped at the library location, not representing a complete five-layer city space.
Of course, this is a more complex idea.
This state somewhat resembles Xu Huo’s Spiritual Book Tower: a hundred-story tower, each circular floor filled with countless rooms and doors positioned on every side, freely exchanging places, making it nearly impossible to return to an original room once a door is crossed.
But this is a fantasy in the Spiritual World, not needing real terrain and absolute spatial limitations, while the Night Tour Sub-venue is a truly existing space.
The spatial isolation is still quite mysterious, because if spaces in this instance truly are independent, resembling a restricted area space, floating like bubbles, easily changing places—they haven’t been achieved even by the space-type Super Dungeons seen in the previous District 001.
If not independent, it implies a use of Spatial Power.
Even such an imperceptibly weak power can directly fracture space, segmenting regions to largely remain unimpacted by others—distinguished from how players control Spatial Power, not a combination of spatial rays forming Spatial Barriers recognizable by Xu Huo, at least unable to be dismantled and assembled as easily as Kaleidoscope Space’s multifaceted spatial bodies.
Its state, more akin to the Water Rubik’s Cube releasing Spatial Barriers.
Of course, Kaleidoscope World is merely a state of Spatial Power usage Xu Huo witnessed, not an absolute condition or final form—perhaps on the road of Spatial Evolution, countless divergences exist, each choice determining different resultant states.
The ability to segment space, tentatively regarding it as a true rival to space, granted this degree of force lacks the naturally formed condition real spaces possess...
As this thought flashed or teetered through his mind, he suddenly paused.
As division, spaces accommodating billions, tens of billions of humans, pervasive in every corner and amidst everything, its primitive Spatial Power is relaxed, indiscernible until Evolvers, mastering methods, agitated spatial rays, thus influencing Spatial Power.
If when these space portals appeared in the restricted area they inherently resembled the essential spatial state, naturally imperceivable powerful Spatial Power—akin to players rarely sensing power fluctuations aboard the Dimension Train as it traverses spaces, its presence so immense that when players realized they unintentionally crossed spaces, it felt inexplicable, yet inevitably conceived complexities—it parallels surrounding tracks connected spaces, just unnoticed by players.
Indiscernibility doesn’t denote weakness, merely restricted by game forces yielding little for players.
Like sensing car sways while unable to sense a planet’s starry ocean drift.
These sporadic space portals weren’t about partitioning space into countless blocks; it randomly transports people or objects between spaces. Presuming five layers in restricted areas, space transmission gates appearing in the city serve as entry points to each layer, only constrained by the limited range players can explore quickly, while substantial movement risks transmitting them to other spaces, generating strong bewilderment.
Xu Huo took out the "Metallic clay".
