(Wait for changes) The Capital City of Yu Country is very large, but judging from the basic infrastructure and the popularity of vehicles, its level of development seems less advanced compared to Yunguan City in the Yongta Country. Many places in the city are a mix of new and old buildings, and the new buildings erected later are made of ordinary materials without much investment.
The city is bustling and lively, and ordinary residents live fairly comfortably. However, compared to players, they appear noticeably poor.
There are no low-cost flying vehicles available for ordinary people in public facilities, so the flying vehicles seen in the city, apart from those owned by the government, are all privately owned by players. Players also do not live among ordinary people; they gather in the southern part of the city, distinctly separated from the northern part.
Xu Huo didn’t rush to inquire about the person Dr. Gao Ming had mentioned. Instead, he tried to learn more about the basic situation of the Capital City and Yu Country.
Yu Country has been in turmoil because there’s a point of contention about a National Treasure. Previously, the conflict among various forces nearly wiped out the population, prompting the solution of segregating ordinary people.
Take the Capital City as an example: ordinary people live in the north of the city, while players live in the south. This doesn’t mean players cannot enter the northern city; it just means they are not allowed to fight in the areas where ordinary people live, otherwise, they would be held accountable.
As for resource conflicts between different player forces, to avoid depletion, the government has also set a rule for them to resolve their disputes through discussion.
The southern residential area is divided into levels, and living in different levels accords corresponding government benefits — a strategy employed by the Yu Country Government to appease players. After all, the area is limited, and resources are scarce. If players want more and better resources, they have to compete for them.
Apart from reducing player attrition, this is also a means for the government to relieve pressure, as anyone with idle time would question the current government’s legitimacy.
On the whole, the Capital City of Yu Country is relatively peaceful now, without the kind of residential division seen in Yongta Country.
Yet the poverty is evident, and several Player Organizations often gather people to venture into the mountainous regions overrun by mutated flora and fauna in search of resources. The trade conditions with foreign countries are very relaxed, with virtually no additional taxes or fees.
According to some local residents, the players in Yu Country are belligerent. Over the past few decades, they have not only fought among themselves but also clashed with Yongta and Moon Corner. In the end, both Yongta and Moon Corner found them too tough to handle and reluctantly excluded them.
In recent years, small-scale wars frequently break out in the areas where the Three Kingdoms meet, but it’s mostly Yongta and Moon Corner that are fighting. When Yu Country’s players try to intervene, the two countries tacitly move the battlefield elsewhere because for the players in Yu Country, harming others while also suffering losses themselves is commonplace, and they don’t seem to mind it at all.
Currently, the wars in Yu Country are mostly conflicts between different forces.
As for the National Treasure, there are many theories. The versions circulating among the public are updated almost daily. The Supreme God Court has now become a piece of history, with its original site flattened and turned into residential buildings.
The Supreme God’s legend in Yu Country is associated with the night. The deity of this religion doesn’t have a human form but is represented by dim stars, and the way it’s worshiped varies in different places.
It’s rare to see a majority of races within one country sharing the same belief, and what they believe in is quite unique. Generally, people turn to religion to gain power, whether positive or negative, from it. However, what the people of Yu Country believe is peculiar. They think the night draws power from them, and to continuously provide power, they maintain their faith in the Supreme God.
This is a very strange attitude; they don’t pray to the god for blessings but to keep the god alive.
From an outsider’s perspective, it actually lies on the boundary between belief and disbelief. They can believe, but if they don’t, it’s not that important either.
No wonder they beat each other’s brains out, wondering if, in the end, anyone will earn the privilege to sustain the god.
From the words of Capital City residents, it’s hard to deduce what the so-called "National Treasure" truly is. After all, the totems and tokens used for their worship are all different, and the Supreme God seems to have no other features, with no doctrines or rules passed down.

"Don’t pick up the props." The player who just greeted Xu Huo was leaning lazily on a slanted bed plank, a wine bottle in hand. "People in this district are poor. Forget about props, even a few pieces of ore are tracked down until the end. Once they’re done fighting, they’ll definitely come to ask you for them back, and you’ll have to return them eventually."
When the Girl in the painting picked up the props, no one cared, but the words from this person clearly angered the local players, and a few in the audience turned to glance at him.
Xu Huo looked at the Girl in the painting, who pretended not to see and looked up at the sky.
"It’s not even a good prop," Xu Huo said, finding it pointless to collect.
"It’s very fun," the Girl in the painting said as she took out a few props, one of which was shaped like a flower bud. When rotated, the petals opened up, looking very delicate.
Xu Huo knew she was just interested for a short while. "Then have fun."
The Girl in the painting nodded happily, still hoping the two battling would drop a few more items.
The fight between the Red-clothed woman and the Babyface gradually reached its climax. After withstanding Babyface’s continuous high-speed attacks, the Red-clothed woman finally seized the opportunity as the opponent’s characteristics wore out and spat out "Deaf Man and Silent Woman"!
This was a sonic attack, and Babyface, who was still manipulating props, had no time to take out any protective devices before he crashed to the ground, covering his ears in pain. He was then securely bound to the ground by the Red-clothed woman’s move "Happy Marriage."
"Time’s up," declared a Rank-A Player from the audience, stepping forward. "Storm Guild wins!"
With that, he took out a badge and handed it to the Red-clothed woman. "In three days, your guild can move to the Platinum District, and the Winning Players Organization will vacate the place in advance."
It turned out that this was a territorial contest.
The Red-clothed woman accepted the badge and looked proudly at the Babyface with drooping eyebrows. "Kid, don’t say I didn’t take care of you. If you join our guild, you can still stay in the Platinum District and enjoy its benefits."
The Babyface looked at her with a fierce gaze and only turned away after a while, saying to his companions, "I lost, sorry guys."
His companions walked over and patted him on the shoulder. "Winning and losing is normal; we’ll win it back next time."
The Winning Players Organization withdrew, and the exterior barrier was also lifted, allowing others to leave or stay as they wished. Xu Huo was still waiting for someone to come and ask for the props back, but unexpectedly, the Storm Guild people just left.
"Haha!" The Outer Zone player laughed loudly, "They still have some pride!"
Since no one came to claim the props back, Xu Huo certainly didn’t take the initiative to return them. He and the Girl in the painting left this specially sectioned-off ruin zone meant for player duels and finally entered the real Capital City.
