Inside the cell, the first sound that hit Miriel was a wet, rhythmic schlick sounds punctuated by slurping noises and strangled groans. The atmosphere was thick with a musky, sweaty scent.
Lyssandra pushed the door wide open, revealing the within. Miriel froze, her heart plummeting into icy shock.
#######
She stuck out her tongue and licked her lips indecently. "Want some?" she purred, wiggling her eyebrows. "Plenty to go around! I've got enough spunk for all your holy holes!"
She laughed, a high-pitched, unhinged sound echoing off the cell walls.
Lyssandra watching impassively, finally moved. She reached out and slammed the cell door shut, cutting off Evelyn's maniacal laughter and Hanry's pitiful gasps.
The sudden silence in the corridor was deafening. Lyssandra turned to Miriel, her expression cold and unreadable. "Back to your cell, little mouse," she commanded.
Without waiting for a response, she began walking. Miriel followed numbly, her legs moving of their own volition. Her mind was a shattered kaleidoscope. The horrific sight of Emerick's willing degradation, the venomous greed of Nekari, the cowardice of Rolfe, and the soul-crushing finality of Hanry's utter defilement.
They reached her cell. Lyssandra pushed her inside and closed the door with a soft click. No taunt or mocking words. Just the heavy finality of imprisonment.
Miriel stood alone in the center of her cell. The flickering torchlight cast shadows on the walls. Slowly, she sank to her knees on the cold stone floor, her white robe pooling around her like a shroud.
Lyssandra emerged from the damp, oppressive atmosphere of the prison, stepping into a wider, torch-lit tunnel. The cooler air washed over her, carrying the fainter, earthier scent of the deeper caverns. As she strode down the tunnel, a familiar, lilting voice echoed directly in her mind.
'Oh, Master,' Luna's voice chimed. "How cruel you are! How utterly, delightfully wicked!"
Lyssandra's lips curved into a smirk, her pace unhurried. "How so?" she asked aloud, the question more rhetorical than anything.
'Using your power to mask your presence and hers, letting the poor little girl see exactly what you wanted her to see…'
Luna cooed, her mental voice dripping. 'The looks on her face! The utter devastation when she saw each of her precious 'friends' reveal their true colors… It was divine!'
Lyssandra's smirk deepened. She didn't need to answer but Luna understood her perfectly. The game was always about power, about manipulation, about breaking illusions. The Saintess's naive faith had been a fragile thing, and watching it shatter was immensely satisfying.
Lyssandra felt a distinct wiggling sensation deep within her groin, a warm, pleasurable pressure from the symbiote shifting comfortably within her. Luna was practically bouncing with excitement.
'Awesome!' Luna declared, her mental voice bubbling. 'I love it! I love seeing your brilliance at work!'
'I can't wait to see the Saintess after this,' Luna continued, her voice taking on a hungry edge. 'I wonder how she'll look? All broken and hollow? Will she cry? Will she pray to her useless god?'
"Same," Lyssandra murmured, the thought genuinely amusing her. She pictured Miriel, that serene, faith-filled face crumpled. It would be a delicious sight indeed.
But for now, other matters demanded her attention.

Lyssandra's journey took her past her towering mansion, a dark silhouette against the cavern wall. Beside it, dominating a large portion of the cavern floor, stood a structure that hadn't existed a few days ago: the brood house.
It was huge, easily rivaling her own mansion in scale but built by a distinctly different aesthetic. Where her mansion was angular and fortress-like, the brood house was curved, organic, almost alive.
The outer walls sloped inward from a wide base like a cheese wheel, narrowing gradually to a bell-like top. The stone was rough-hewn precisely placed, the craftsmanship surprisingly skilled. Arched windows, glowing by soft inner light, dotted the upper levels.
As she approached the front courtyard, Lyssandra was met with eager chirps and rustles. A group of young female half Deathweaver spiders, her children looked like adults now, scurried forward to greet her.
"Mommy!" one piped, her voice high and excited, her multiple eyes sparkling.
"Welcome to our new house, Mommy!" another chimed in, waving her slender hands in greeting.
"We built it just for you! And us! Come see!" a third added.
They clustered around Lyssandra, their soft hands brushing against her legs. Their forms were smaller, more humanoid versions of their mother. Pale skin, eight delicate white chitin legs behind their back and six bright red, curious eyes. They lacked the imposing size and hard chitin of Morgana, retaining a youthful softness.
"Please, Mommy! Let us take you on a tour!" one begged, tugging gently on her mother's bodysuit.
Lyssandra allowed a genuine, affectionate smile to touch her lips. These were her creations, born from her own seed and Morgana's womb. Their eagerness and pride in their accomplishment were touching.
"Very well," she said, her voice softer than it usually was. "Show me what you've built, my children."
The young spiders squealed with delight. They took her hands and led her eagerly towards the arched entrance of the brood house.
