"Master has locked herself away for days," he mumbled. "I hope she's alright…"
Sparky let out a low whine as he scratched vigorously at his ear with a hind leg.
Luna's round form jiggled slightly with amusement. "Hah! Listen to yourself! Whining like a sad pup. You are a mighty lightning beast, act like it!"
Sparky's head snapped up, his amber eyes wide. "I… I am a beast!" He puffed out his chest… then deflated instantly. "But I AM a dog… aren't I? But what if I'm not? Was I always a dog?"
Confusion swirled in his canine gaze as his paw tapped frantically on the stone floor, sparks crackling faintly.
Luna sighed, her surface dimming slightly. "Stupid mutt." She turned her attention fully towards the heavy bedroom door behind which Lyssandra was secluded.
BAM!
The door crashed open so violently it hit the wall with a thud that rattled the chandeliers.
"IT WORKED!!! HAHAHA!!"
Lyssandra strode out, radiating triumph. She was wearing a maniacally joyful grin, her hair slightly wild.
"M-Mistress? What happened?" Naya stumbled back, startled by the sudden explosion of sound and energy. She hurried towards her Master.
Lyssandra barely glanced at Naya "Quickly! To inside! All of you! NOW!"
She swept past them in a flurry of purpose, heading towards the chamber where the Bloom Mothers were bred.
Behind her, Sparky was still frozen mid-ear scratch. His eyes rolled wildly in different directions, his jaw slightly slack. "Am I a dog…? But if I'm not a dog, then what am I?" he mumbled to himself, completely oblivious to Lyssandra's triumphant march. He remained rooted to the spot, his mind spiraling into a vortex of existential crisis.
With an ominous thud, the heavy doors slammed shut behind the trio, sealing them into a space transformed.
A gasp ripped from Luna's shapeless lips. "What is that…"
#######
White streams shot from her twitching glans, splattering against the nearby wall with wet thwacks.
Lyssandra turned to Luna.
The slime's oval form was vibrating with desperate desire, leaning close to Lyssandra's hand holding the remaining pod.
But when Lyssandra tried to attach it, the red flesh simply slid uselessly across Luna's gelatinous surface, failing to find purchase.
Luna deflated slightly, a shimmer of disappointment running through her transparent form.
"There, there, my pet." Lyssandra cupped her slime companion gently. "Slimes like you don't produce semen, remember? It seems my method needs… adjustments for your unique biology." She stroked Luna's quivering head soothingly. "We'll find a way, I promise."
