Lucy moved closer to her master and helped him finish adjusting his outfit. Her fingers straightened one side of his collar before she stepped back slightly to inspect the result.
"Do you like it?"
She asked.
Ezra looked down at his outfit and lightly adjusted the sleeve around his wrist.
"The material and the fashion behind the execution are cool."
He replied honestly in his usual plain tone.
A satisfied smile immediately appeared on Lucy’s face.
"I knew you would like it."
She replied, looking pleased with herself.
"Guys!"
Luke suddenly entered the tent with an enthusiastic expression.
"We are back from stalking."
Vera answered firmly before Luke could even finish opening his mouth.
The words entered the tent and stayed there.
Several club members who had been talking immediately stopped. Their heads slowly turned toward her.
Luke remained frozen at the entrance.
"Lady Vera Ashenlocke, calling our sightseeing stalking isn’t quite—"
"We went out to look at what the competition had to offer."
Vera turned her dull black eyes toward him.
"Basically, we were stalking, President."
Her tone remained so plain and firm that nobody could tell whether she was joking.
The silence inside the tent grew a little stranger.
But...
That actually makes sense.
Several people had the same thought at almost the same time.
Vera left the bewildered Luke behind and walked toward Ezra.
"You’re looking dazzling, Ezra."
She stopped in front of him and folded her arms. Her head tilted slightly as her dull black eyes moved from his face to his feet, slowly inspecting the outfit he was wearing.
Ezra looked back at her.
"Well, you are my dazzle, so as my dazzle..."
Vera raised a finger and pointed at him.
"You are only meant to dazzle brighter than anyone else in this world."
A faint smile appeared on her face, though the change was subtle enough that it almost looked like she was simply amused by her own reasoning.
Ezra’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at her.
For a moment, he remained silent.
"The clothes are well made."
He replied.
Vera’s expression remained unchanged.
But her raised finger slowly lowered.
The air around them seemed to pause for a brief moment.
Ezra looked back at his outfit as if that had been the only important part of their conversation.
"Lady Vera is right!"
Hermione suddenly walked out from Diane’s side with an excited expression.
"You really look cool in the outfit. And it’s all thanks to my Mistress."
She smiled proudly and pointed toward Diane.
Diane stood quietly with her half-open eyes as she observed the clothes she had sewn for the whole club.
"So, it’s really true that Lady Diane Bergwyn was the one who sewed the clothes?"
A first-year club member asked, looking completely impressed.
"I was shocked too when I heard that she would sew our club’s clothes."
More voices of admiration rose from the club members as they praised Diane for her fashion skills.
That’s some interesting hidden skill.
Ezra thought quietly to himself.
He was genuinely surprised and impressed that someone like Diane could do something like this.
A faint smile of pride appeared on Diane’s face.
"Alright, alright, guys."
Luke raised his hands, bringing the group’s attention back to him.
"The main show is about to start, so let’s begin the briefing before we go and fight for victory."
He said as he walked toward the center of the group.
At the same time, Professor Liliana Galehart’s voice could be heard from outside the tent.
Her voice was being transmitted throughout the entire Mix Arena.
Even inside the tents, the club members could clearly hear what was happening inside the stadium.
The tournament was officially about to begin.
"So, the tournament format is divided into two sections."
Luke explained as the club members gathered around him.
Many of the club members already knew this, but explaining the entire format again was Luke’s way of reminding everyone how important their performance would be if they wanted the club to achieve victory.
"The first section is the sales."
Luke said calmly.
"We already have all our displays prepared for sale, and you all know that we hold auctions for the more important works we have. As for the rest, we sell them at fixed prices. So, those on sales duty, be on your best behavior."
He said while looking toward the leaders of that team.
"Yes, President!"
Latisha and many of the members of the sales team replied at the same time.
"The second format is the main presentation inside the stadium."
Luke’s gaze moved toward Ezra before shifting toward Agnes.
At the end of the club’s internal contest to decide which research or craft would represent them during the presentation, the research report on the Elder Ghost Crawler had been selected.
It wasn’t only the perfect exoskeletal body of the Elder Ghost Crawler that made the research impressive.
And it wasn’t only the quality of the report itself.
It was the edited video showing their battle against the Elder Ghost Crawler.
That was what had made the club members, Professor Nine, and his assistant agree that this research was the best choice for the presentation.
Ezra had personally made sure to edit some parts of the recorded battle.
The footage had originally been recorded by Agnes and Hugh, who carried the portable cameras with the holographic recording feature. The cameras could capture the entire action wherever their users looked, recording the battle from their own perspectives.
The execution of the group’s plan and the fighting spirit they had shown while facing the Elder Ghost Crawler had made the footage worth watching.
"You two have to give it your all during the presentation."
Luke placed his hands together in a begging pose as he looked toward Ezra and Agnes.
"Don’t worry..."
Agnes moved closer to Ezra.
"We’ve got this in the bag."
She said with confidence written across her smiling face.
"Alright, guys... let’s get to action!"
Luke clapped his hands together.
"Yeah!!!"
Many of the club members raised their fists and replied with energetic voices.
"Let’s win this!"
"We’ve got this in the bag!"
"Apart from the members of the sales team, everyone else should begin handing out our club’s auction flyers."
Latisha said before leaving the tent.
Like that, the Club Tournament officially commenced.
The streets of the Mix Arena quickly became busier as students from the different clubs moved around with their clubs’ flyers while the first phase of the tournament began.
Everyone wore warm and attractive smiles as they approached guests and tried to draw them toward their club booths.
The atmosphere quickly turned into a battle to see which group could attract the most guests.
A few hours passed.
The second phase had also begun, with Liliana calling out the clubs that would start their presentations.
Each club had only twenty minutes to present.
Afterward, the judges would give their brief thoughts before secretly scoring the club.
The scores would only be revealed when it was time for the final ranking.
"Ahhh..."
Cyrus finally walked back into the tent with several other club members entering behind him.
He stretched his body as though his entire body had become tired from moving around the crowded streets.
"Outside is so rowdy, and those bastards from the Scholar Poet Club, and Martial Strength Club are getting on my nerves."
He said with an annoyed expression.
"How dare they collect the flyers we had already given to the guests."
Another club member complained angrily.
"Just because they want to gain guests, they’re working together to hold us back."
Maxwell added, looking equally annoyed.
The group continued complaining, when Cyrus’s eyes slowly moved across the tent.
His gaze eventually settled on Ezra.
Ezra was seated calmly on a foldable chair while he was scrolling through his Starlix 11, also listening to the voices of students presenting their club’s work to the audience in the stadium.
Cyrus narrowed his eyes on Ezra.
