Chapter 2106: Chapter 2106: Light-Year Distance (35)

Vor Star System.

As the most chaotic star system among all the major ones, the residents of the Vor Star System are all full of fighting spirit.

Every day there’s fighting breaking out somewhere; today you rob my goods, tomorrow I snatch your turf.

Everyone’s fighting over everything and loving every second of it.

Yet in this chaos, different voices gradually started to appear.

"Did you guys hear that Wimms got beaten so badly the other day he was literally rolling away in piss and shit?"

"Wimms?"

Someone sounded shocked.

This was the infamous bully of the Vor Star System—he was always the one bullying others; when had he ever been on the receiving end?

"Who’s that badass?" People around immediately crowded over to ask for details.

"It’s a new force that popped up recently, seems to be called... Four-Zero-Four. No idea what their background is. I heard they’ve already taken a lot of territory."

"I think I’ve heard of them..."

This gang had already been active for a while.

Rumor said they were rich and generous, ridiculously strong; at first quite a few people even wanted to target them.

And the result?

The result was either death or kneeling on the ground calling them daddy, begging to be taken in.

The Vor Star System might be chaotic, but news traveled fast.

Everyone had heard something about this gang, but now even Wimms had fallen to them, which showed these people were not to be messed with.

As more and more reports came in of big names in the Vor Star System being defeated, everyone gradually became familiar with the name Four-Zero-Four.

Chen Chuan just couldn’t figure out why they had to use those numbers.

It totally did not match their status!

Chuzheng sighed deeply. "You don’t get it."

Chen Chuan: "..."

If you don’t say anything, how am I supposed to get it!

[...]If I don’t stop her, she’ll hoist the banner of socialism on the spot.

King’s Account felt life was too hard and decided it needed to issue a quest to calm down.

[Go for it, Missy, let’s aim to become the richest people in all the star systems! We can’t let anyone be richer than us!] King’s Account dropped this line at lightning speed and then bailed.

Chuzheng: "..."

Chuzheng took a deep breath and told Chen Chuan to pull up a map of the Vor Star Era.

On the map, quite a few places were already marked with the blood-red numbers 404. It looked a bit strange, yet somehow kind of hot-blooded.

Chuzheng tapped the map with her finger, thinking about who they should 404 next.

The God of Harmony had to let the rain fall on every field!

"Young Master Wei."

Chen Chuan’s voice pulled Chuzheng back from her thoughts. She turned toward the door and saw the teenager walking in with a tray.

The boy’s gaze met Chuzheng’s. His expression wasn’t great as he muttered, "Food’s ready..."

He set the tray down on the table closest to the door and turned to leave.

"Stop."

"..."

Wei Shi stopped, standing with his back to Chuzheng, not moving.

Chen Chuan silently edged back a bit, pretending to be a statue—hear nothing, see nothing.

Chuzheng asked, "Have you eaten?"

"...Yeah." The boy’s voice was low.

Chuzheng walked over, grabbed Wei Shi’s arm, and snagged the tray on the way. "Still mad?"

There was a red mark around Wei Shi’s wrist, like it had been restrained by something, but it didn’t look too serious.

Wei Shi flicked a glance at Chen Chuan and kept quiet.

"You were the one who—"

"Eat." Wei Shi pointed at the tray, a little irritated. "Just drop it!" Have you no shame!

Chuzheng’s gaze slid over his face and finally landed on his neck. Wei Shi frowned, lifted a hand to cover his collar, and quickly did up his buttons.

Chuzheng tugged him down to sit. "You really ate? Don’t lie to me, I can tell as soon as I ask."

"...Didn’t."

Chuzheng patted his head. "You can stay mad, but you don’t get to skip meals. Only if you’re full do you have the strength to keep being mad..."

Wei Shi’s face darkened; he stood up, ready to leave.

Chuzheng hurriedly pulled him back. "I’ll shut up, just eat." This Good Person Card is so hard to serve. Why is my life so tough.

Chuzheng told Chen Chuan to bring another set of bowls and chopsticks, and handed the set on the tray to Wei Shi first.

Wei Shi just held his chopsticks without moving; he only started eating once Chen Chuan came back with the other set.

"What are you doing?" Wei Shi scooped a couple of bites of rice and looked up at the map still floating in the air not far away.

"I’ll need you to help me with something later."

"What thing?"

Chuzheng didn’t answer, just told him to focus on eating.

Wei Shi shoveled a few more bites, then couldn’t help himself. "Are you going back to Imperial Capital Star?"

Chuzheng: "Go back for what? To declare war?"

"..."

Wei Shi poked the bottom of his bowl with his chopsticks. "So you plan to live here from now on?"

Chuzheng mulled it over for two seconds and arrived at a conclusion. "You don’t like it here?"

"..."

Wei Shi felt a little exhausted. Couldn’t she just answer properly for once? Why did she always have to answer a question with a question? Who exactly is the one asking here!

"You still want to go back to Imperial Capital Star?" In that case I really do have to consider the whole ’declaring war’ thing.

Wei Shi wanted to return to Imperial Capital Star for nothing more than to find out who had caused him to end up on that Barren Star back then.

Yet after all the effort he put in... they’d gotten results in just a few days.

At first his heart was probably filled only with anger and hatred, but now that feeling seemed to have faded a lot.

What he thought about more was the person right in front of him...

Wei Shi shook his head. "No. I just wanted to ask what you’re planning to do next."

"Stay with you."

"..."

Wei Shi’s hand holding the chopsticks trembled; he almost dropped them.

"Do you like me that much?" Wei Shi stared at the rice in his bowl; his voice was a little low.

"Yup." Chuzheng was completely straightforward and utterly justified, even a bit smug.

"..."

A strange tremor rippled through Wei Shi’s heart. He pressed his lips together. "What if you meet someone you like even more later?"

"Not happening."

"Why not?"

"Because I said it’s not, so it’s not. Why do you talk so much? Can’t even keep your mouth shut when you’re eating." Chuzheng impatiently dropped two chopsticks’ worth of veggies into his bowl. "Hurry up, eat two bowls!"

Wei Shi: "..."

With that attitude, I’d say it’s very likely.

"I can’t finish two bowls," Wei Shi retorted.

Before, it had always been nutrient solutions; now that he was eating fresh food every day, he’d feel stuffed after just a little.

"You can’t but you will." Chuzheng squeezed his arm, sounding full of dislike. "Look how skinny you are." Nothing but bones—terrible to the touch.

"..."

-

Wei Shi ate so much he didn’t want to move at all. Chen Chuan cleaned up the aftermath.

Chuzheng moved the map in front of Wei Shi and slipped an arm around him. "Help me pick one."

Wei Shi had seen this map plenty of times and was very familiar with the 404 marks on it. Rubbing his stomach, he asked, "Pick what?"

Chuzheng reached over to rub his belly for him, and Wei Shi’s body shrank back a little.

"What’s wrong?" Chuzheng thought she might be using too much strength. "Too hard?"

"...No." The belly wasn’t like arms or something; when Chuzheng touched him there, Wei Shi just felt overly sensitive.

Seeing Wei Shi relax, Chuzheng went back to her previous question. "Pick our next destination. Which place do you like?"

Wei Shi: "..."

You’re obviously asking me to choose a battlefield!

Why does it sound like we’re picking a honeymoon spot?
