Chapter 2135: Chapter 2135: King of Pirates (26)

Zhuang Ping thought he could never go back, but he didn’t expect to see Chuzheng again.

One evening, Zhuang Ping heard the guards talking about their fleet returning, and soon after, he saw Chuzheng walk in leisurely.

"Who are you!" The pirates discovered Chuzheng and shouted, "How did you get in here!"

"Stop!"

Several pirates looked at each other, the atmosphere a bit eerie.

"Get her!"

Zhuang Ping had seen her in action on Phantom Island, with those mysterious and unpredictable abilities. Seeing her again, Zhuang Ping felt unusually calm.

-

"Island Master." Despite being a grown man, Zhuang Ping’s eyes reddened upon seeing Chuzheng.

"Where are the others?"

"Inside." Zhuang Ping hurriedly searched the pirates for keys, went inside the prison, and released all the survivors.

Among those captured, apart from those who died here, all the remaining men were here.

The women, they didn’t know where they were being held.

"Island Master..."

"Island Master!" Seeing Chuzheng, the group was emotional. They had thought they were waiting to die here, or to become Ao Biao’s slaves, but unexpectedly, their Island Master came to rescue them.

Truly the messenger of Lord Sea God!

"... You think whatever you like!"

Chuzheng woke up a person on the ground, "Where are the others kept?"

The person, out of fear, pointed in a direction, "The others... they’re all kept there."

-

Ao Biao had reaped some good fortunes recently, swelling his pride, leading to a more extravagant lifestyle.

Today, with a fleet returning, Ao Biao dressed neatly, preparing to welcome them.

But before he reached the dock, someone ran to him in a hurry.

"Island Master, Island Master!!" The person pointed at the ship at the dock, "No one is getting off the ship!"

"What?" Ao Biao didn’t quite understand.

"The ship docked by itself, but there’s no one on board, like... like a ghost ship!" The more the person spoke, the more frightened they became, shaking like they had Parkinson’s.

They had heard many rumors about ghost ships.

Ao Biao: "You’ve gone on board to check?"

"No... we dared not." If it really was a ghost ship, going on board would be a death wish, wouldn’t it? When they saw no one coming down, and there was no response to their calls, they didn’t dare to go up and check.

Ao Biao: "..."

As the Island Master, Ao Biao couldn’t show cowardice.

He put on a stern expression, folded his hands behind his back, and marched forward, "Go take a look."

The ship was quiet, moored at the dock, Ao Biao observed from a distance for a while before ordering his men to board and inspect.

Everyone was a bit frightened, hesitant to go up.

Ao Biao: "..."

A bunch of useless people.

"You come with me." Ao Biao personally chose a few people, leading them onto the ship.

Nothing much was on the ship; they found some people tied up inside the cabin.

Before Ao Biao could ask, someone urgently spoke up, "Phantom Island... their people landed on the island!"

"!!!"

Alarms sounded across the island, Ao Biao ordered a lockdown of the entire island, determined to find the people from Phantom Island.

But there was no need for them to search; they didn’t even attempt to hide their trails. After rescuing Zhuang Ping and others, they headed openly to rescue the rest on the island.

Receiving the news, Ao Biao immediately led people to blockade them.

"I heard Phantom Island has a new Island Master, didn’t expect she’s so young." Ao Biao looked at the young girl standing ahead, his face showing slight disdain while remaining wary inside.

To overthrow the Great Island Lord and take power, this girl is no ordinary person.

According to the people from Phantom Island, she’s the messenger of the Sea God...

People trying to survive at sea all hold the Sea God in similar reverence, Ao Biao was no exception, but he didn’t believe a person could act as the Sea God’s messenger.

Perhaps this girl used some tricks to fool these foolish islanders into circles.

Chuzheng wasn’t interested in small talk with Ao Biao, she got straight to the point: "You captured my people, slaughtered my islanders, how does Island Master Ao intend to settle this?"

"Hahaha, young Island Master, haven’t you heard the saying? ’The winner takes all.’ Your Phantom Island lacked the capability, how can you blame me?"

"Oh."

Then let’s fight.

Chuzheng swept a glance over the people Ao Biao brought, so many of them, a bit troublesome. Maybe...

Chuzheng fixed her eyes on Ao Biao.

"With Phantom Island in its current state, you’re better off staying here; my place is no worse than Phantom Island." Ao Biao tried recruiting Chuzheng, "If you’re willing, I can even give you the position of Second Island Master, how about it?"

Not interested, why would I want to be second in command!

"I prefer being the Island Master."

"..."

Ao Biao’s gaze fixed on Chuzheng carried a sense of threat, enough to send chills down one’s spine.

"Little girl, don’t act so high and mighty; you’re in my territory now..."

Chuzheng’s eyes scanned the surroundings, her tone icy: "Not for long."

Ao Biao: "What?"

What nonsense is she spouting? Does she think this place is something else entirely, with the island swarming with his people, and that she can get away after getting in here?

She’s too young, unaware of the setbacks that the world can present.

Whether Chuzheng was spouting nonsense, Ao Biao would soon find out.

Ao Biao was quite skillful, cautious in his actions, and not as easy to deal with as the Great Island Lord.

With so many people alongside Ao Biao, capturing him proved rather difficult for Chuzheng.

But difficult didn’t mean impossible.

When Ao Biao was pinned to the ground by Chuzheng, his eyes were filled with disbelief.

"Hand over your territory to me, and I’ll spare your life, how about that?" Chuzheng threatened, clutching Ao Biao’s neck.

"What are you standing there for, attack together!" Ao Biao turned and roared at the pirates.

"Anyone who makes a move, gets killed by me." Chuzheng’s glance swept past, and the pirate who was just about to make a move felt a chilling shiver go down his spine, halting in place.

Ao Biao’s face turned alternating shades of blue and white with anger.

Yet, should they really disregard their own safety and charge forward, Ao Biao might get even more furious.

Chuzheng: "Why did you slaughter Phantom Island?"

Ao Biao sneered, "My hatred with Phantom Island is irreconcilable; why wouldn’t I slaughter them?"

"What grudge?" Chuzheng inquisitively inquired, though she asked seriously enough not to seem like she was prying.

Ao Biao probably assumed Chuzheng staged a coup on the Great Island Lord, implying she wasn’t with him, so he could mention it to her.

Previously, Ao Biao’s strength was diminished because he encountered the Imperial Court’s forces, and they did because the Great Island Lord had set a trap, deliberately informing the Imperial Court.

Ao Biao gritted his teeth, "Would you call that grudge anything less than irreconcilable?"

"...Yeah." That did count as a significant grudge. "How did you learn about Phantom Island’s situation?"

How did he manage such timing, right when the Great Island Lord and Third Island Lord were overthrown and the new Island Master went out to sea with the Second Island Master.

"If he could plant a spy, could I not?" Ao Biao sneered.

Catching such an opportunity was rare; no way was he letting it slip.

"You’re quite capable," Chuzheng complimented unemotionally.
