Two masked figures appeared inside the farthest gold wall, half present and sharpened by each increase in seal progress. Their armor was clean, their movements synchronized, and their faces hidden behind mirrored masks.

The second Collector accelerated the seal. Two of the seven cracked chambers stood open. A man with dark hair and a scar crossing one eyebrow had dragged himself into the aisle. He wore the remains of a preservation wrap and held a broken section of chamber frame like a weapon. Across from him, a woman knelt beside another open chamber, one hand pressed to the seal while pale light moved beneath her fingers.
