Leveling Up by Defiling Milfs

Chapter 217: Ch217: A New Beginning

After about five minutes of walking, Daniel and Alucard finally reached the entrance of the Royal Academy.

A huge sign towered above the academy gates, its letters seemingly carved from a crystalline material that shimmered with a mesmerizing blend of colors, shifting between pale blue, violet, gold, and green whenever the sunlight struck its surface.

Daniel couldn’t help but stare, his mouth slightly agape at the magnificent design.

Beyond the gates, two guards stood at attention, each holding a spear strapped across their backs, with a glowing white crystal embedded at the tip, reflecting the sunlight like a shard of ice.

"Come. Follow me," Alucard said with a neutral expression.

Daniel followed without question and stepped into a towering building shaped like a massive chess rook, its stone walls rising high above them.

’Admission hall,’ Daniel murmured.

Inside, a long wooden counter stood beneath an arch top shaped window. A red curtain hung behind it, concealing whoever was working on the other side, while a small brass bell rested on the counter.

*Ting. Ting. Ting.*

The moment Alucard rang the bell, the red curtain was drawn aside, revealing a woman dressed in a red gown beneath a white surcoat.

"Yes, how can I help you?" she asked in a warm, welcoming tone.

Alucard took the parchment from Daniel’s hand and placed it on the counter.

"Oh, what do we have here? A transfer student," she said in a mildly amused tone. "Please, show me your face."

Daniel stepped into view and let her get a clear look at him.

"Status," he whispered under his breath.

Ravila drew the curtain closed and returned a moment later with a clean sheet of white parchment and a feather quill.

"Please fill this out for me. And you can take a seat while you do," she said, gesturing toward the nearby waiting area.

Alucard stepped away from the counter and sat on the edge of a wooden bench.

Daniel dipped the quill into the ink and began filling out the form.

"Daniel... Dikson. Where are you from, young man?" Ravila asked in a casual tone.

Daniel hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Arcana Town, Lady Ravila."

"Oh, good. You must have been working hard for—"

Ravila suddenly stopped, her eyes widened.

"Wait... did you just call me by my name?"

Daniel froze for a brief moment, then calmly continued filling out the form.

"Aren’t you Lady Ravila?" he replied, as though there were nothing unusual about it.

"Yes, I am. I’m just surprised to hear you say it," she admitted.

Daniel didn’t look up from the parchment.

"Well, when a woman is beautiful, everyone wants to know her name."

Ravila’s cheeks flushed at the unexpected compliment. She quickly turned her face away, trying to hide the shy smile tugging at her lips.

Meanwhile, Daniel paused, narrowing his eyes at the parchment.

"Hmm... what should I choose here?" he murmured.

Ravila glanced down at the form and noticed where he had stopped. It was a choice that left many students hesitating: either stay in the academy’s dormitory for five hundred gold coins per month or spend roughly three hours traveling between the academy and their homes every day.

"I’d recommend taking the dormitory," she said. "That way, you won’t have to spend hours traveling back and forth every day."

She hesitated briefly before adding, "Although... some students do complain that the food isn’t very good."

Normally, Ravila wouldn’t have mentioned the food. But after Daniel’s unexpected compliment, she found herself strangely inclined to give him a little extra advice.

"Then I’ll choose home," Daniel said.

Later, he finished the registration form and handed the parchment back to Ravila. She took it, quickly scanning through each entry to make sure everything was in order.

"It’s all done. Please have a seat over there, young man," Ravila said, gesturing toward the waiting area before calling Alucard over to the counter.

Alucard stepped forward and began writing something with the quill. Just then, he pulled out a gold coin and quietly slid it across the counter.

Daniel’s eyes narrowed slightly at the sight, but he said nothing and simply glanced around the hall.

...

"Here, take this. It’s yours," Alucard said, handing him a small black box tied with red ribbons.

Daniel accepted it and opened the box. Inside lay a palm-sized badge bearing the Royal Academy’s eagle insignia, with "Daniel Dikson" engraved beneath it.

"Don’t lose that badge. Without it, you won’t be able to enter the Mid-Citadel," Alucard warned.

Beneath the badge was a small handbook containing the academy’s rules and regulations.

With everything settled, the two headed outside into the warm afternoon sun. Unfortunately, they weren’t allowed to take a tour of the academy grounds yet, as the students were still busy with their training and classes.

Daniel was instructed to report back in two days for his first training and practical classes.

The academy offered its students considerable freedom, but that freedom came with a price.

Failing to attend classes would lower their reputation within the academy. And if a student wished to participate in the academy’s competitions and compete for the prizes, they needed at least ninety percent attendance. Otherwise, they would have to endure additional challenges or difficult tasks assigned by their respective instructors to make up for their absences.

Daniel flipped through the handbook as he walked toward the Mid-Citadel gate, carefully reading through the rules.

"Now, you can go your own way, and I’ll go mine. Alright?" Alucard said.

Daniel gave a small nod before turning toward him.

"Thanks for everything."

Alucard gave him a faint smile.

"See you around."

With that, the two went their separate ways.

’What should I do now? Probably head home, I guess,’ Daniel pondered, a mischievous smile slowly spreading across his face.
