Leveling Up by Defiling Milfs

Chapter 224: Ch224: A Bloody Revelation

The torch and lantern flames flickered along the sides of the room, their warm glow doing little to ease the rising tension in the air.

The people gathered around exchanged worried glances.

"What is it, Commander?" a woman in a black robe asked.

The Commander turned his gaze toward her and spoke in a low voice. "We have been spotted by the Royal Saints."

Hearing that, unease spread among the people. Yet everyone knew what was about to happen.

"We all knew this day would eventually come — the day we’d have to leave this place. Didn’t we?"

Most of the people gave a small nod, including Daniel, who simply went along with the crowd.

"We all know they wanted to get rid of us. But we’re always going to be two steps ahead," the Commander said before turning his gaze toward the woman beside him. "Bring him."

From the backdoor, a man bound in iron chains was dragged into the center. His half-naked body was covered in deep whip marks, and a sack concealed his face as the woman dragged him forward before throwing him to the ground.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this man is a puppet of the so-called Royal Saints. For years, he somehow managed to slip through our grasp, but we finally managed to capture him," the Commander said.

A low murmur of chatter spread through the crowd as everyone stared at the battered man. Then, one of the women wearing a green robe stepped forward and removed the sack, revealing his face.

Daniel’s eyes widened.

The face looked almost identical to Zane.

Immediately, he activated his ’Third Eye’ ability.

But nothing appeared.

He tried again.

Still nothing.

’It’s not real,’ Daniel whispered, his eyes narrowing.

Then his gaze drifted toward the people around him. Blue, translucent screens flashed across his vision, revealing their names and descriptions as he repeatedly activated his ability, checking one person after another.

One by one, their statuses appeared — until his eyes finally landed on the Commander.

Nothing appeared.

’What the...? The Commander’s status is not—’

Daniel took a slow step back, but just then, a stranger’s hand landed on his shoulder.

"Where are you going?" a feminine voice asked, her tone suspicious.

"N-Nothing. I just... I don’t like seeing stuff like this," Daniel said, forcing a calm smile.

The moment Daniel stepped all the way back inside, the door suddenly slammed shut from the outside, producing a deafening thud.

*THUD!!!*

*THUD!!!*

Everyone turned toward the door.

Then—

"Aaaaah!"

A woman screamed.

The people wearing black robes, disguised as Exil members, suddenly pulled out their daggers and began stabbing the others.

The small gathering erupted into chaos.

Several people raised their palms, flames, lightning, and other elemental powers surging from their hands. But just as they were about to retaliate, their powers suddenly vanished.

The Exil members panicked.

"My powers! It’s not working!"

"My powers, it’s not—Ghk!"

"It’s a trap!"

*Shnk! Shnk! Sthk!*

One after another, people collapsed as blood spilled from their mouths. The assassins drove their daggers straight into their chests, piercing their hearts.

"Commander, what’s going on?!" one of the strangers shouted as he desperately fought against the assassins.

"Ghk!"

A dagger pierced his chest.

He collapsed without another word.

None of them survived.

Daniel, however, remained hidden inside someone’s shadow, silently watching the massacre unfold.

The people wielding the daggers weren’t ordinary fighters. Their movements were precise and calculated. Every strike was aimed at the chest, specifically the heart, killing their targets before they even had a chance to react.

...

Corpses lay scattered across the room, blood pooling beneath them.

Daniel’s eyes widened as he remained hidden within one of the assassins’ shadows. There were five assassins in total, each calmly wiping their blood-soaked blades with a cloth.

"Hey, Yellow. I think it’s time to bring boss here," one of the assassins said, glancing toward the man wearing a yellow bracelet around his left wrist.

"Red, go and bring the boss," Yellow ordered the assassin wearing a red bracelet.

Red walked toward the door and knocked three times.

*Knock! Knock! Knock!*

He paused for a moment, then tapped twice.

*Tap! Tap!*

It sounded like some kind of secret code.

"Hey, Green," said the assassin wearing the yellow bracelet. "Keep this between us, all right? There must be some precious items stored in here. Let’s split them fifty-fifty. What do you say?"

The assassin wearing the green bracelet chuckled. "That’s a wonderful idea. We could sell them on the Heretic Market for a huge profit."

Daniel listened silently as the two exchanged knowing glances.

...

Soon, Klaus arrived at the scene, wearing an outfit similar to the Commander’s.

"I’m impressed," Klaus said, his tone calm and approving. "You all deserve five hundred thousand gold coins."

Hearing the amount, the assassins’ eyes widened. Their minds immediately filled with dreams of what they could do with such a fortune — buy land, establish businesses, visit brothels every single day, and spend the rest however they pleased.

"Boss, you’re truly too generous!" one of the assassins exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.

"Boss, you’re the most generous man I’ve ever met!" another assassin added.

The assassins continued showering Klaus with praise, their expressions filled with excitement.

Klaus merely smiled.

He then stepped toward one of the assassins and, without warning, swiftly sliced his throat.

*Shlk!*

The assassin wearing the red bracelet clutched his throat before collapsing to the ground.

*Thud!*

"What the fuck, boss?!"

The remaining four assassins panicked as they watched their comrade fall. Their expressions turned wary as they realized Klaus was now a far greater threat than they had expected.

"Green, he’s not our boss anymore," one of the assassins wearing a black bracelet said, his voice tense.

...

A fierce battle broke out.

Klaus found himself surrounded by four assassins, engaging them in close-quarters combat. Despite being outnumbered, he fought with nothing but a small knife against their daggers.

Within moments, three of the assassins had their throats slit and fell to the ground one after another.

The fourth was pinned beneath Klaus, his dagger knocked from his hand.

"That’s forty souls in total," Klaus muttered, counting the bodies.

He then looked down at the assassin wearing the green bracelet.

"You’re lucky I don’t need any more bodies. You can leave this place."

Klaus stepped aside and lowered his weapon.

"Go. You’re free."
