Leveling Up by Defiling Milfs

Chapter 231: Ch231: The Face of Death

——————

Name: Laquiro Davis

Age: 33

HP: 670/4500

Mana: 5120/5300

Description: An assassin who works for gold and specializes in close-quarters combat. His fee never falls below ten thousand gold coins, making him a costly man to hire.

He spends much of his free time indulging in the pleasures of brothels, but the moment a contract comes in, his carefree nature disappears.

When it comes to his work, he is ruthless, focused, and takes every assignment seriously.

*Hrk!!*

A mouthful of blood spilled from Laquiro’s lips, splattering onto the ground.

Daniel twisted the blade to the side before ripping it free in one swift motion. The movement tore through flesh, sending another burst of blood across the ground.

Before Laquiro could recover, Daniel reversed his grip and swung the dagger sideways.

*BAM!*

The handle slammed into the side of Laquiro’s head. His vision spun, knees buckled, and he crashed to the ground at the feet of the stranger.

"W-who are you...?"

Laquiro’s breathing grew ragged as his trembling eyes lifted toward Daniel. His gaze fell upon the dagger in Daniel’s hand, blood still dripping from its blade.

*Drip... drip... drip...*

*Swish! Swish!*

In the blink of an eye, Laquiro’s fingers were severed, bouncing once before they came to rest like discarded grapes.

*Thud Thud Thud Thud*

Those same fingers that a moment ago had been touching Marnie’s breasts now lay limp on the ground, and blood burst from the wounds, splattering across the earth.

"Aaaah...! W-who are you?! Motherfucker!" Laquiro screamed, clutching his mutilated hands.

Daniel lowered himself onto one knee, bringing his face level with Laquiro’s.

"Me?" he murmured. "Why do you care to know my name?"

Laquiro’s face twisted with rage and fear at Daniel’s presence, as though Death itself had come to claim his life. He clenched his jaw, gathered saliva in his mouth, and suddenly spat.

*Ptooey!*

The glob of saliva whistled past his cheek and struck the wall behind him with a wet splatter.

Laquiro froze, his trembling eyes locked onto Daniel.

The calmness in Daniel’s expression, the dagger dripping with his own blood, and the faint sparks dancing across the blade all told him the same thing.

The man before him wasn’t someone he could fight — not in his severely weakened condition. Laquiro’s trembling eyes remained fixed on Daniel, as though he were staring directly into the face of death itself.

Daniel moved.

*SHING!*

The dagger flashed through the dim underground room and drove straight through Laquiro’s mouth.

His eyes bulged.

A muffled cry escaped his throat.

But before he could even struggle, lightning exploded from the blade.

*BZZZZT!!! ZZAAP!*

Brilliant yellow arcs raced along the dagger before surging into Laquiro’s body. His muscles locked. His fingers curled. His entire body convulsed violently as electricity tore through every inch of him.

*BZZZT! BZZZT!*

For a fleeting instant, his veins seemed to glow beneath his skin.

Then—

*BOOM!*

The lightning erupted through his skull. His head burst apart in a violent spray of blood and fragments, staining the ground and nearby walls.

Laquiro’s lifeless body crumpled beneath Daniel.

*THUD!*

The dagger slipped free.

A few fading sparks crawled across its bloodied blade before disappearing into the darkness.

Silence descended over the underground room. Only the faint smell of scorched flesh lingered in the stale air.

"Shit... I didn’t expect his head to explode like that. Yuck! It’s on my tunic," Daniel muttered, grimacing as he glanced at the blood and tiny bits of brain matter splattered across his clothes.

He took a moment to compose himself before checking the status of everyone inside the room.

Most of them were ordinary workers and farmers, their exhausted faces revealing how long they had been kept there.

But then Daniel noticed something that made him stop.

A small child lay beside a woman. The child looked no older than seven, curled against her side as though seeking protection even in death.

Daniel approached cautiously.

Neither the woman nor the child moved. He crouched down and examined them more closely.

The woman wasn’t breathing.

Neither was the child.

Daniel’s expression tightened.

"Dead...?"

...

*Cock-a-doodle-doo!*

The next morning, Daniel woke to the sounds of chickens clucking and roosters crowing throughout Arcana Town.

Pale sunlight spilled through the window of his room, casting long golden streaks across the floor.

A cool morning breeze slipped through the gaps in the shutters and brushed against his face, slowly pulling him from sleep.

"Hmm... hnng..."

Daniel stretched, twisting his back until his joints gave a few quiet cracks.

*Crack... crack...*

Still half-asleep, he headed toward the well to wash his face. As he approached the front gate, he spotted Esmeralda standing there with a broom in hand, sweeping the threshold.

"Daniel."

He stopped.

Esmeralda rested both hands on the broom and looked at him. "Did you see anyone outside last night?"

"No...?" Daniel replied, slightly confused.

"When I woke up, I found my door unlocked." Her brows furrowed. "I thought someone had broken in, maybe a thief, but nothing was missing."

She glanced toward the street, her expression uneasy. "it was strange."

Daniel hesitated, his mind racing for an explanation he could actually give her.

There was no way he could tell Esmeralda that he had traveled through her shadow to reach his rent house after leaving his parents at home.

He quickly turned his gaze toward the well.

"Maybe you simply forgot to lock it before going to bed," Daniel said casually, followed by a small shrug as he tried to make the explanation sound convincing.

Esmeralda’s gaze dropped and locked on the thick bulge straining his pants — the morning wood that still hadn’t gone down. A slow, mischievous smile curved across her face.

Before Daniel could turn left toward the well, she called out and stepped closer.

"Wait."

He stopped.

As he turned, she let the broom fall onto the path and slid her arms around his waist, pressing in.

"I was thinking... if you’re free for breakfast, would you like to come over to my place? You know, I’ll make something special for you," Esmeralda said, her voice light.

Her hands, though, kept brushing the length of his cock through the fabric.
