Live-in Son-in-law

Chapter 1650: Death by a Thousand Cuts

Jin Jing shook his head in horror, making whimpering sounds from his mouth blocked by a sock.

He had been slashed over a thousand times by the two sisters, in unbearable pain.

Yet he lacked the courage to die. When he used to torture those women, he felt no guilt, instead deriving a perverse pleasure. Now that it was happening to him, he was scared out of his wits.

"You will know soon enough."

Huo Meiya gestured with her dagger, "Young Master Jin, when you harmed others, did you ever think there would come a day like this for you?"

As she spoke, her hand rose, and the knife fell swiftly... a thumb-sized piece of flesh flew out.

At that moment, Jin Jing’s whole body tightened, even his toes curled, and he trembled uncontrollably, veins swelling all over him. He let out painful whimpering noises from his throat, as though living in hell.

Huo Siya was stunned. She hadn’t expected her sister actually to emasculate Jin Jing. She shook her head... why didn’t she think of this?

The window opened and then quickly closed, a gust of wind blew through the room.

The sisters looked up and saw Qin Yi at some point had appeared in the room, watching them with what seemed like fear in his eyes.

Qin Yi was indeed afraid, he felt a chill down below, and he couldn’t help but clench his thighs tightly.

Oh my... witnessing a castration for the first time, this was horrifying.

Looking again at Jin Jing’s body full of wounds, Qin Yi’s mouth twitched slightly.

He knew these two sisters harbored deep-seated hatred and guessed they wouldn’t hold back when dealing with their enemies, but he didn’t expect them to use such a cruel method... even a thousand cuts would be no different.

Indeed, when a woman becomes ruthless, men have nothing to say.

He suspected Jin Jing now only wished for a quick end.

"Young master?"

Huo Siya stood up and gracefully bowed like an elegant lady.

But who would have thought an elegant lady could have such a ruthless side.

They were simply two beautiful venomous snakes.

Qin Yi slightly nodded.

Despite everything, the sisters were still very afraid of Qin Yi.

Huo Meiya said weakly, "Young master, we didn’t take his life."

Qin Yi stepped forward, inspecting the wounds on Jin Jing’s body, thinking anyone with trypophobia would go insane from seeing this.

"How did you do it?"

Qin Yi curiously asked.

A thousand cuts, yet not much blood was shed.

Huo Siya pointed to a bowl of liquid, "Young master, this is the saliva of a seven-legged toad, applied on the knife, it kills without showing blood."

Qin Yi picked up the small bowl and looked at it, slightly nodding; in truth, he couldn’t make out anything.

This seven-legged toad’s saliva must have a strong coagulating effect, allowing the wounds to seal instantly, stopping the blood from rushing out.

"Young master, have you found your friends?"

Huo Siya asked softly.

Qin Yi slightly nodded, looking at the two of them, and said, "City Lord Jin Nu is dead. You can kill this man too."

The Huo sisters were stunned, their eyes turned red, tears welling up.

The sisters knelt down before Qin Yi.

"What are you doing?"

Huo Siya said, "With our abilities, we might never have been able to avenge ourselves in this lifetime. Thank you, young master, for avenging our deep-seated enmity. We swore that whoever helps us avenge ourselves, we will follow them forever, be it as cattle or horses, as slaves or servants."

Hm, this is like repaying kindness with enmity... Qin Yi thought pridefully.

Actually, he had many things to do; killing Jin Nu was due to the relationship with Yun Mengyao and the others, not much related to these sisters.

Huo Meiya said earnestly, "Young master, wait a moment, we will just tidy up a bit and then follow you. From now on, we are your people."

Qin Yi gestured, lifting them up in the air.

"You are yourselves and do not belong to anyone. There’s no need to be cattle or horses, slaves or servants for me. I avenged you merely as a coincidence, let’s say it’s our destiny."

"Kill Jin Jing, and then leave as well. With revenge taken, I hope you can let go of the hatred, find good people in the future, and live well, so my help will not be in vain."

Huo Siya’s expression was sorrowful, "I know the young master dislikes us for being from a brothel, but both my sister and I are untouched. We dare not hope for anything else, only to follow you, be slaves to serve you."

Qin Yi smiled and said, "You’ve misunderstood. I am merely a passerby with a mission. I do not look down upon you for being from a brothel. I once had a friend who entered a brothel to save her mother, which I greatly admire."

"Similarly, I admire your courage as well, and there is no disdain toward you. But, this journey I’m on is fraught with danger. I’ve not only killed Jin Nu but also people from the Vajra Sect and the Netherworld Clan. Following me, your fate is uncertain."

The Huo sisters’ mouths gaped wide open in shock; they hadn’t expected Qin Yi had not just killed Jin Nu but also members of the Netherworld Clan and Vajra Sect.

Huo Meiya said seriously, "Young master, we truly wish to follow you. We are not afraid of danger."

Qin Yi smiled slightly.

"You may not be afraid, but I am. Two beauties such as yourselves should have a peaceful life. If anything happens to you because of me, it would weigh on my conscience."

"Ladies, the deceased are gone, the living must look forward. Live well. Ma Chengfeng and the widows and orphans of the Huo family need you. Farewell!"

After Qin Yi finished speaking, his figure flickered and disappeared from the room, leaving only the swinging open window.

The sisters stared blankly at each other, then embraced and wept.

They thought they’d never be able to take revenge, living a life of hiding, yet unexpectedly, there was a twist, and they met Qin Yi.

Now, with their revenge fulfilled, with Jin Nu dead, they could live under the sun once more.

...

"Creak!"

The door opened, dawn breaking, Ma Chengfeng carried a copper basin, ready to head to his duty.

Suddenly, he stiffened, a figure standing in the courtyard caught his eye.

Upon closer inspection, he found it was Qin Yi.

"Young Master Qin?"

Ma Chengfeng stepped forward, "Did you just return?"

He had listened all night to the commotion from next door, knowing Qin Yi had been out the entire night.

Qin Yi looked at him and pointed to a black cloth bag beside him, "A gift for you."

"Ah?" Ma Chengfeng was bewildered. He hadn’t expected Qin Yi to gift him something, curiously asking, "What... what is this?"

"Open it and see."

Curiously, Ma Chengfeng opened it and was stunned on the spot, inside was a heap of gold coins.

He looked up at Qin Yi, dazed, "Young Master Qin, this is..."

"I’m here to say goodbye, thank you for taking care of me these days."

"Young Master Qin, did you find your friends?"

Qin Yi slightly nodded, "Jin Nu is dead, I killed him."

Ma Chengfeng was thunderstruck, standing stiffly, wide-eyed, and speechless.

"You no longer need to hide. Keep this money as a thank you for your help and care during these days."

Ma Chengfeng trembled with excitement, but his mind was stuck on one thought, that Jin Nu was dead.
